This was just awful from the moment we were grumpily greeted to the moment we were seated with a view of an old fire extinguisher to the cold (meant to be hot) disappointing food. Horribly overpriced. The wait staff were nice folk but clearly overwhelmed. We’d have found better value and enjoyment at a fast food joint, alas. Never again.
Father’s Day Buffet
We were extremely happy that it has reopened. This is one of our special occasion places. We love the variety of food on the buffet. You can try things you may not order as an entree by itself. Everything is well prepared. Nice atmosphere, resort casual, great view. Our server, Victoria, was quite capable and attentive.
Good selection of food. For a buffet, the fried items were really good (not soggy from sitting there, very crispy). Amazing selection of sweets too! Our server Stan was awesome. Views amazing.
The food was cold, salty - it was a buffet and trays were not refilled promptly and marked incorrectly.
Have enjoyed the Friday night seafood buffet several times now and the breakfast buffet a number of times and the Blue Ridge is always excellent. The variety and quality of food is always excellent as is the service. The ambiance is superb and you have one of the greatest views in the area to enjoy while you eat. This was my first time there (2 breakfast/ seafood buffet) since the impact caused by the pandemic and everything was as excellent as it was prior to the pandemic. I highly recommend staying at the Grove Park and taking advantage of the Blue Ridge or at least eating there if you are In Asheville.
Wonderful food. We went to the seafood buffet. Service could not have been better anywhere.
We enjoyed our meal. My husband enjoyed the seafood. He was sorry there was no catfish even though it was advertised. Same with zucchini. No specialty crackers with cheese tray.
Collard greens were not even warm.
Servers were excellent. Since I am not a seafood eater, there should have been a lower price point for non seafood eaters. Beautiful views!
The wait persons are all very friendly. Water is always filled. Felt at home. Very relaxing.
Over the top views, wonderful food, experienced and courteous wait staff. We had Sunday Brunch, and everything was perfect.
We had Sunday brunch buffet at the Blue Ridge. Food was OK but there was nothing that I'm excited about going back to try again. Decor was in need of a major refresh. Views of the mountains were great. Service was attentive. We will go back just because we like a breakfast buffet and there aren't many other better choices around. I would recommend trying it if you like a breakfast buffet but don't have high expectations.
Food selection not nearly as good as last time a few years ago. My wife had only the cold soup then. No soup yesterday. We won’t be back. Jim
Such a romantic spot for brunch! There was an amazing selection and the views were perfect. We will be back for sure.
This is an incredible experience. Ambience and food are top notch. I go here regularly. Perfect for anniversary , birthday and special events.
Wonderful place to enjoy our anniversary! Great service and food variety! Delicious bananas foster!!!
The entire experience was nothing short of excellent.
Excellent seafood buffet with high quality food cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!
Absolutely love this restaurant great food feel like I am their only person server has come for every birthday anniversaries or any excuse we can think of always do Friday Saturday buffet
Absolutely delicious!! Best brunch I’ve ever had!!
A perfect place for an anniversary celebration. Sunday brunch was delicious. Lots of we'll marked gluten free choices, including desserts
Wonderful selection, top quality - and (since my wife is celiac) a blessing to have each item labeled with "Gluten Free" (or nut-free or dairy-free) as applicable.
Great place to spend a special occasion! It was our 38th anniversary! Great meal, atmosphere snd service!!!
Excellent food and service, with a spectacular view!
It’s been 15 years since I had the Seafood Buffet at Grove Park Inn. The hotel never disappoints- the service and the setting are always top notch! The buffet was very good, with a wide variety of seafood, sides, and deserts. The oysters on the half shell, the citrus steamed shrimp, the artichoke spinach dip, and the seafood Mac and cheese were all excellent. We were disappointed in the crab legs, the trout, and the lack of lobster on the menu. Overall, the food was not as good as remembered but was still a wonderful experience. Cocktails were tasty and innovative. Waitstaff and management were wonderful - friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional!
We were celebrating our anniversary. This is one of my favorite restaurants. The view by the window was very nice. Jose was our waiter and very good!
We were dining at the Blue Ridge Restaurant at the Omni Hotel, outside of Asheville, NC, to celebrate our anniversary.
Whereas the view, ambience and service were excellent the seafood buffet was mediocre. Plentiful fresh shucked oysters and ski ny crab legs but the salmon and trout were either dry or covered with sauce.
We enjoyed walking the grounds and watching the sunset.
Go here if you go no place else in Asheville. Friday is seafood buffet, the best layout of food I’ve ever experienced by far!
My dinning at the Blue Ridge Grove Park lnn now owned by Omni, was not good as far as food, brunch food was cold ,sausage did not look or tasted cooked might want to brown them, most of food was tasteless very poor quality, have eaten at Grove Park many times and know their expertise but sine Omni took over l was not impressed at all very poor food

Quality of the food did not live up to the price point.
Ambiance was nice and service was good. Food was mediocre and not worth the price whatsoever. I would expect much more for a $380 brunch for a party of 5.
Bloody Mary’s were not as good as they used to be. The mix was to ‘pungent’ with excessive ‘smokey’ flavor. At $14 each, we didn’t even drink them. The server did not notice or comment about it.
The food and service were great. We will definitely be back.
We loved the buffet, and our server Stan was fantastic! Excellent service and great views
Great selection of food. We did not realize that it was a buffet. If you are hungry, it is a good place. Most of the food was very good. Just a little pricey, but we were not surprised. Overall, it was very good! Wish we could have been closer to the windows for a better view of the beautiful scenic view.
Lots to select from, fresh tasting, and impeccable service.
Great food, and all you can eat! Friday seafood, and Saturday prime rib.
Buffet is open to self-service again from Pandemic conditions the past year. The crab legs and oysters were the best we have had there. The crab cakes and clam chowder were much improved and at the top of their game. As always service was superb.
There were so many choices on the buffet (3 ROOMS!) there was no way anyone could eat it all. That said, we found the pancakes a little dry, and the roast beef a bit tough. But when you match that with outstanding seafood (shrimp cocktail, oysters rockefeller, steamed mussels, etc.) and all the many, many other choices, we were all very, very happy and FULL when we left. Don't miss the mac and cheese, the omelet station, or the chocolate mousse at the dessert station! Also, the service was outstanding. Stan was friendly and very helpful, finding us stuff we missed at the buffet (the syrup was in a silver coffee urn... who knew?) and keeping our drinks full and taking away our plates in a most timely way so we could go get more. Seriously, this is an expensive meal meant for a special time, but it's worth it to be pampered and fed like royalty!
Great location, amazing views, but next time we are going for the a lá cart menu. We were not impressed with the buffet.
