We have been to the dinner buffet many times, but this was our first brunch. It was outstanding and we have decided that brunch is the way to go from now on! More time to work off the delicious food before bedtime!
our server was wonderful! Wish I remembered her name. She was great!
Post holiday buffet had a much smaller selection to choose from - so the risotto was the best option available. Disappointed based on choices and price paid.
This is one of the restaurants in The Grovepark Inn. I get the sense a lot of locals come here for the buffet. Great brunch and evening seafood buffets, especially the crab legs. Fairly informal atmosphere.
It was just “ok”. The seafood buffet was unimpressive. The main three items were crab legs that were overcooked, cocktail or BBQ shrimp, and raw oysters. They had a few steamed dishes that were bland and not very good. A few salad and side items. The desserts were always gone and the bananas foster station had a line half-way around the room. I would not recommend for the money. It cost two people $104 and that was without any alcohol beverages. Save your money and try one of the other wonderful restaurants in the area.
The Friday night Artisanal Seafood Buffet is fantastic. Food is high quality and abundant. Service always meets and exceeds expectations. We drive 70 miles for this experience and it was our 5th time in a year to do so.
Everything was Perfect
Crab legs and shrimp to all the great deserts
Great service from start to finish
The seafood Buffet there more then seafood so
If it just you and your sweetie or group of friends
You won’t regret coming to blue Ridge
Big Thanks to Parker
We had a wonderful time at the Blue Ridge for Sunday Brunch. We had a fantastic table with the view of the mountains. The assortment of food types was plentiful, carved prime rib, seafood, as well as the desserts and freshly made Bananas Foster.
Usually the food is good this time it was horrible prime rib was fatty crab legs were overcooked
Exceptional experience! Have dined many times and will be back many more!
The gentleman carving the prime rib, also prepared the risotto. He used the same gloved hand to handle the meat, the pans to prepare the risotto and the ingredients. Proper utensils should have been used. When a patron asked him the difference between raw horseradish and creamy, he did not know. My expectations were that trained and knowledgeable food handlers would be employed, they were not.
We attended Seafood buffet on Friday. This was our first night at grove park this year as we really look forward to it. Weve been to the prime rib buffet and several breakfasts at blue ridge and they are tremendous! Seafood night was major disappointment. All the fish including crab cakes were dry. Clam chowder was average. The cocktail shrimp were good. It wasn’t to the standard of other meals we’ve had there. The waitress was wonderful as usual. Very poor food quality.
Food was good as usual. I did not appreciate having our group of 5 seated at a four-top table. I noticed several others nearby in similar set up. I understand the restaurant's reason for doing this, but at this level of dining crowding in an extra person is not acceptable.
We had an outstanding experience at Blue Ridge! We will definitely be back! We went for our five year wedding anniversary, and the food was INCREDIBLE, the service by our waiter was AMAZING, and the ambiance was terrific!! I can't believe it took us this long to get there!
We had a wonderful time with two adult children who are foodies and who were appreciative of the ambiance and the view. That view....unequaled .Even the younger son, not yet an adult, but trying hard to keep up, loved the attention he got from the wait staff , and the party atmosphere, while he ate his two doughnuts...
We were celebrating my birthday. Our service by Jose was great the food and venue was beautiful as usual.
My son treated my friend and me to Sunday brunch and it was truly a treat. I've been thinking about it with a smile ever since.
We were there Saturday night with prime rib buffet. Everything we had was delicious! The salads and crab legs were so good I could hardly move on to the main course. Definitely worth it!
My wife and I dine here frequently for special occasions and it never disappoints. The buffet is worth every penny and the service is top notch.
Parking was just a little confusing. And the elevator to the parking garage. Need more direction.
Food was amazing!
Not only incredible food but the view overlooking the mountains is simply stunning. All the food was delicious and well prepared. Who knew a buffet could be this good! Don’t skip the dessert tables!
Excellent way to spend Sunday brunch with friends...everything about the experience was wonderful...
Friday Fish Buffet: The food was very, very good and presentation attractive. However, the table service was not as professional as you would expect from this notable and historic establishment.
The seafood dinner on Friday night's is excellent and highly recommended. The Lemon Drop martini, though very tasteful, is served in a martini glass but on the minimal side of things. Pass up the drinks, they are NOT a reasonable serving for the money.
Beautiful views. Staff friendly and helpful. Great selection of food items on the buffet for New Years Day brunch.
New Years Day brunch. Excellent presentation, great taste, wonderful service, beautiful views
Very disappointed in the service . Wanted sweet tea and they continued giving us unsweetened tea. The watriess waited on all the tables around us and ignored us. Food was cold. Have been going for over 25 years never had this happen before.
We come for either Christmas Day brunch, or New Year’s Day brunch. It has become one of our family traditions, and is very special to us...a unique experience.
Frequent diner. Today was New Year’s Day. Not sure the staffing was ready for the volume of guests. Didn’t have a terrible experience but was not up to par.
Food quality food. The omelette station took 30’minutes to get through.
Disappointing but will try again.
New Year’s Eve
Prime rib over cooked. Wasn't worth the money this year. Will be doing something else for New Year's eve next year
Food was plentiful and attractive but not at all “special.”
Great place with good service. Beautiful view and perfect place for holidays.
I celebrated my birthday with my Asheville family at Blue Ridge. We had a 3 year old who was thrilled with all the Christmas decorations and gingerbread houses!!! The food was good...not great...but the views of the mountains and the time spent with family there was worth the $$. We talked about making this a Christmas tradition !!!
Wonderful buffet meal to celebrate my daughter's partner's graduation (master's degree). Food was amazing. Service was impeccable. Restaurant was clean. Buffet was well organized and maintained well. Checkout was seamless. Decent value. Wonderful view. Would recommend it to anyone.
We went here this year for Thanksgiving Day and for a recent birthday celebration. The food is always good. The only downside was the $25.00 valet parking less the tip for the Ginger Bread Attraction.
The Sunday brunch was such a great experience. There were so many choices on the buffet, and the presentation was so unique. We were on a quick, couples getaway for the weekend and the brunch was originally just something to do before heading home, and ended up being a main highlight of the trip. Leave time to walk around the resort, if you aren’t staying there already.
This was a very nice venue and offered good food. However, I thought the price was a bit steep. Brunch for 2 people was $100 with tip, something like $84.60 actual price. No extra drinks; no upgrades.
You get one free mamosa, free coffee (or other drinks), food is perfect. Everyone at the grove park is excited to help you. If you are going during the holidays walk around and check out the free gingerbread houses. Then bring a book and sit in a rocking chair and read in front of the huge fireplace. Parking is $20. Worth every penny!
Much better food than past years. Great energy too! Our waiter was outstanding, and so were all of the servers at the stations. Really a remarkable evening.
