We had a great dinner, food very good.
Loved the experience! We are local and make a point to dine there at least twice a year.
We ate on Friday when they had the seafood buffet. Really great selection of seafood, salads, and desserts. The view is incredible!!! Service was good.
Great food! Beautiful view! Excellent service! Glad that Blue Ridge was recommended to us!
The food was over the top. I bragged so after coming before I was hoping my husband would have as good of an experience and HE DID!!! It was run like a well oiled machine and the Maitre d' deserves a pat on the back and a raise!! It was so obvious nothing could be this perfect without someone at the top attending to all the details. I honestly can't think of a thing I would change and I am picky!! We will be back and soon.
I drive for Uber and Lyft and I constantly suggest eating at the Blue Ridge .
We came on a Friday night and the only foods available on the buffet were seafood and desserts. The bread was cold. The New England clam chowder was spicy. The crab legs were so overcooked they were disgusting and mushy. Most of the desserts were quite nice. For $45 per person, we were extremely disappointed. It was loud and crowded and we didn't get to enjoy the view because the shades were down most of the time. The servers were very pleasant and took good care of us. Otherwise, we would not recommend it. We wish we had gone to one of the restaurants in town.
Thank you for choosing to dine with us. Blue Ridge does offer a Seafood Buffet every Friday evening, and we apologize that it was not to your liking. May we recommend visiting on a Saturday for the Prime Rib Buffet, or you may prefer any one of The Inn's four signature restaurants. We look forward to welcoming you back for the same exemplary service found throughout the resort, with a menu more pleasing to your palates.
The seafood buffet was average. The crabs cakes were delicious, boiled shrimp good, but the fried shrimp not that great. Too many cold fish options. When I think of a seafood buffet, I think of oysters, scallops, shrimp, flounder -- either fried, broiled, or grilled. The dessert buffet did make up for the lack of real seafood.
Thank you for reaching out. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the crab cakes and boiled shrimp however apologize that the same sentiments did not extend to the cold fish options. To maintain a true farm-to-table dining experience, our chefs carefully select the menu based on what is available at market. We hope you will choose to return; you may find oysters, scallops and/or flounder next time.
Quiet brunch with a couple of close friends. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was amazing and so restful. My only wish was that we could have sat right at a window but those were all two seat tables.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you enjoyed the view and Sunday Brunch as whole however apologize if the seating was not to your liking. In order to accommodate the large amount of requests for window seating , we place tables of two at the Winona to maximize our accommodations. In special circumstances, if we have space available, we can build tables for 4-5 at the window upon request.
the food was exceptional as was the service...and the manager took great care of our needs.
the BLUE RIDGE is lucky to have a helpful, energetic employee such as this gentleman....hare
working and paying attention to everyone's needs and wants.l And the view is always perfect.
Thank you for choosing to dine at Blue Ridge and for your kind words towards our staff, especially Manager Michael; he is a joy to work with and is a valued member of the Omni family. We hope you will visit us again soon.
We have been coming to this restaurant for the last 4 years for the brunch because it was our and our friends anniversary. Last year we noticed a change, the food was not near as good and the choices weren’t as many. We decided to give it another chance and we were not satisfied again this year. The crab legs/fish were good, the salad bar is good, there is not any choice of vegetables (besides salad bar) except for green beans (which were not cooked well) and 2 types of potatoes. Everyone of us got desserts, which were beautiful, but did not eat them because they were not flavorful. We did not try the beef because the line was so long, it was the only other meat option besides small, fried chicken nuggets. The staff here are always so wonderful, so I am hesitant to type this, but the food was sub-par for what we pay. I am sorry to say, we are on the lookout for our yearly celebration for next year, as we will not be coming here. 😢
Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize if the current offerings were not to your liking. To maintain a true farm-to-table dining experience at Blue Ridge, our chefs carefully select the buffet items based on what is available at market. It is for this reason that we encourage you to return to Sunday Brunch. You may be pleasantly surprised to find a variety of options unique to each meal.
Amazing brunch!!! Would recommend to anyone in Asheville.
The food was delicious and the views were stunning!
Everything was great that’s our third time eating there and it was our 30 anniversary enjoyed it very great place to eat
Thank you for your continued patronage, and may we wish you both a very happy anniversary. We look forward to celebrating with you the next 30 years!
Our experience was great but not as perfect as our previous experiences. We definitely still recommend it; however, and will return.
Thank you for returning. We sincerely apologize that this visit fell short of expectations, and we look forward to welcoming you back for a dining experience true to the standard for which we are known.
The Grove Park Inn is beautiful, parts are aging but worth the trip. We could not get a table for 6 at the Terrace Restaurant so tried the buffet. Food was mediocre at best. Carving station was delicious. Mashed potatoes were like paste, shrimp was way overcooked, pork was too dry to eat. Vegetable of the day, snap peas were fresh. Buffet lacked vegetables. Desserts were ok...many contained nuts, which 3 of us had allergies to. Would not recommend to people who like good food over quantity. Ok place for children. Bill was over 400 plus the tip. Aside from the spectacular views, don't waste your money.
Thank you for sharing, and we apologize that the meal fell short of expectations. Should you choose to stay at The Omni Grove Park Inn upon your next visit to Asheville, we do recommend any dietary restrictions be made aware to the servers and chefs; we can certainly accommodate allergies and will help navigate the menu for any outstanding offerings available. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
If you are a buffet lover; Blue Ridge will not disappoint. Huge assortment of salads, desserts and appetizers. Main courses a little underwhelming. Overall a nice dining experience at a fair price.
Thank you for joining us at Blue Ridge. We certainly welcome any and all diners, buffet lovers especially, and we appreciate that you enjoyed much of the selection. We do apologize that the main courses were not to your liking. To maintain a true farm-to-table dining experience, our chefs carefully select the menu based on what is available at market. It is for this reason that we encourage you to return; you may be pleasantly surprised to find a variety of options unique to each meal.
The view was fantastic. We booked a table right before sunset. The food was delicious with a great variety. The service was excellent. The Blue Ridge was a great place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary!
Thank you for sharing, and may we congratulate you both on 30 wonderful years of marriage! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the Saturday night Prime Rib Buffet and hope you will continue to dine with us for many special occasions still to come.
For seafood in the mountains, it was fair. The cost does not reflect the quality.
We have recommended the Friday night seafood buffet to several friends and we are looking forward to returning for a second visit! Rooms of seafood, salads, and desserts make dining here an awesome experience, not to mention the beautiful views!
Thank you; we couldn't have described the Friday Night Seafood Buffet better ourselves! With two massive rooms filled with award-winning dinner options including crab legs, a dessert bar and great gluten free menu, we agree that it is an awesome experience. We are excited to welcome you and your friends back soon.
Absolutely wonderful! The view is amazing and the food is fantastic!
Incredible dining experience. From the gorgeous views looking over the grounds of the Grove Park and the mountains, to the insanely delicious food - everything was perfect. One guest near us even said “that dessert room is better than disney!” The service was outstanding! Highly recommend.
The food and view were amazing.
Our waiter, Stan, was superb! He really made the whole experience special. The food was delicious and all the specialty station chefs were great! We especially enjoyed Sophia at the dessert station. She was lovely! We had a lovely meal and were made to feel catered to. Quite a treat!! Thank you!
Loved It!! The food was delicious and the service outstanding
My wife and I just celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. We chose this restaurant to celebrate. We have been here before and always enjoy everything about it! It just doesn’t get much better than this! The food is amazing and the views are incredible! We could not have been more satisfied.
We could only get reservations at the Blue Ridge; the Sunset Terrace was unavailable, even when scheduling a week ahead of time. Blue Ridge is buffet only and offers a tremendous variety of food. Wait staff were extremely attentive. Because it is buffet style, the meal goes quickly from start to finish. I believe $45 per person is over priced, and the wine list is marked up over 100% for average wines. Eat here only if this is an alternative to the Sunset Terrace.
This is our second time to the Blue Ridge for the Prime Rib Buffet. It is outstanding with a large variety of choices. You only has to learn to pace yourself as you cannot possible eat everything you see. We feel that it is a great value and have enjoyed it both times.
We are local and go at least a couple of times a year, and it's always the best!!
The Blue Ridge restaurant at the Grove Park Inn is one of the few restaurants left that still feels "special". We often celebrate important occasions with our friends and family at the Grove Park Inn. We never feel rushed or hurried, something we greatly appreciate. The buffet offers something for everyone regardless of dietary preferences or restrictions making it the perfect solution for larger gatherings. The wait staff is always professional and courteous, balancing their level of involvement with our needs. The view is extraordinary, making the most of the mountain setting and the city of Asheville.
Thank you for your continued patronage. We are thrilled to hear that Blue Ridge has become such a special part of your family, which is why we are also puzzled for the 3-star rating. If our dining experience is in any way deserving of this, we sincerely apologize and hope we can improve upon your next visit.
Full seafood buffet! If it comes from the sea, it’s probably on the buffet. Very good!
Wonderful food can't imagine it being any better.
This was our 4th trip back to this restaurant. We live locally, so it’s easy. We love the elegance of the hotel and the incredible views. There is always good food even for the pickiest eaters, and even for people like me, with food restrictions.
We were visiting from San Diego for the weekend. We chose to eat here because it was highly recommended.
Our server, Robert did a great job considering the limited wines that were available. Each time we placed a wine selection, the bar was out. We felt bad for Robert having to constantly apologize for not having any of the wines we had selected. Finally, we settled to what remained of the Moscato.
Food was okay, nothing to write home about.
We would have been happier had we just made reservations at Sunset Terrace.
Thankfully we were given a table with a beautiful view.
Thank you for sharing. We appreciate that Robert did such an excellent job and apologize that the wine selection was limited. Should you choose to dine with us again, we look forward to the opportunity of better serving you, both at Blue Ridge as well as Sunset Terrace.
It was wonderful!!
This was a great anniversary brunch. The resterant from the front door is beautiful and elegant. There was three rooms of amazing food and a view that melts my heart. The service was timely and adequate. It was a perfect day.
We have dined 8n the Blue Ridge room about a half dozen times. The food is very good and served at the proper temperature. Great variety. We have always had attentive and pleasant service and we love the view. This is our treat to ourselves when visiting Asheville. It is especially fun during the holiday season when we can view the gingerbread houses!
Wonderful staff. Have nut allergy. Head chef Lumley brought me dessert to our table! Much appreciated. Not as crowded as during holiday season. Quieter. Food selection met our expectations.
So Delightful The Best Brunch in the Land
This was an excellent dinner experience and it is a must visit in Asheville!
