Weekend getaway trip with my daughter and her husband. They were celebrating their 1 year anniversary. The waitress surprised them with a special treat. Large variety of food to choose. Something for everyone!
Great food and service. Make sure you make reservations to avoid a long wait!
It was a great dinner for a special night. Food was wonderful and service was excellent.
Wonderful experience. Been coming here for years and hope to for many more.
We came to Blue Ridge for my husband's Birthday. It was wonderful. Our waiter was Stan. He was so attentive, helpful, and took such good care of us. He greeted us, with "Happy Birthday Sir," and wished my husband Happy Birthday again when we were leaving. We will definitely request his section the next time we visit.
The food was great... lots of variety, lots of flavor. The presentation was spot on, with definite attention to detail. Overall, great experience. We will be back.
This was our second visit to the seafood buffet, the food was honestly disappointing, service by our waiter was slow and the ambience was boring. Not worth the $. Next visit to Grove Park will not be to a buffet
Love their food and service. Great atmosphare. Spectacular view
We are locals so going to Grove Park is usually a special occasion for us. We love Blue Ridge because of the amazing views, terrific food and 5 star service.
I took my husband for his birthday and the whole experience was absolutely lovely
I reserved a table as a celebration of a friend's 50th birthday. When we arrived the hostess asked me to identify the birthday girl and yet her birthday was never acknowledged by anyone at any time. The ambiance and food were both outstanding, not to mention the amazing views at every turn. I would recommend The Blue Ridge for the views and food most assuredly. However, upon booking the reservation through Open Table, I was asked to provide a credit card, therefore leading me to believe that the bill for the buffet would be charged automatically. Upon completion of our meal as we stood to put on our coats, the waitress abruptly approached us regarding payment of the meal. Her voice was loud and her demeanor insinuated that we were trying to skip out on the bill. It was extremely embarrassing to me and my guests for the dinner, since she was so loud, everyone around us turned to look. It may be wise to add something that states you are holding the credit information only and that the dinner will need to be paid for after consumption. Hopefully, that will prevent others from experiencing a similar situation.
Having been to the Friday evening buffet at Blue Ridge multiple times in the past several years, I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. The quality of the food was not what I remembered; thus the reason I gave a 3 rather than a 4.
A friend recommended The Grove Park Inn’s Sunday brunch since we were driving through Asheville. We loved it! We will definitely be back.
There was huge Variety of foods as this was a buffet. We ate here because the other restaurants at GPI we’re booked. As this was a buffet the importance was on the amount of food, not the quality. The wait staff was attentive but seemed harried by the crowd of people.
We had a fabulous experience at the Blue Ridge Restaurant at Grove Park Inn. The food was excellent! The ambiance was comfortable, romantic and elegant, while still allowing for quiet conversation. Our waiter, Carlos, was friendly and efficient without interfering with our desire for a private romantic evening. We shared an excellent bottle of Argentinian wine and savored every morsel of the superbly prepared meal. The shrimp and the collard greens were both favorites. After dinner we sipped delicious coffee and enjoyed one of the many excellent desserts. Later on the Sunset Terrace, we enjoyed listening to the live musical performance as we finished off a final cup of coffee. We both agreed that it was one of the best date nights we had had in years. No doubt The Grove Park Inn is our new favorite romantic spot. We will be returning for years to come!
Prime rib was awful. I had to spit it out. The rest of the food was just okay. Some of the hot items were barely warm. Only one item I thought was really good was some pork they were making. The deserts we’re plentiful and I only tried a few and they were good. The waitress was really nice and had our drinks refilled without asking and before they ran out. The view was beautiful. I would not eat here again. The flavor and tastes were just not good.
Disappointed in crab legs. They were over cooked and could not get meat out
Dinner was delicious (much to choose from and well presented) and the sunset lovely. We will return.
The view and food here are amazing! There are rooms of beautiful food displays, as well as complimentary mimosas. The wait staff was great. This will be a new brunch tradition during our visit to Asheville.
Staff was accommodating and acknowledged our birthdays...one table server was particularly Attentive
Great restaurant. Very nice buffet. Not your Golden Corral for sute. We will def be back
Amazing buffet , have recommended several friends to try it. We will definitely be back .
The amount of food was more than adequate. Unfortunately, the quality and temperature of the food was not. The crab legs were hard to remove from the shells, possibly due to over cooking much of the food was over salted.
We truly enjoyed our experience. There were lots of tasty choices. The desserts were absolutely incredible. I’m pretty sure I gained a few pounds. It was reasonably priced for what it was.
It is a buffet, but seating everyone in the same room, when there are several, makes for a noisy dinning experience. Maybe spreading the diners out in the different rooms would bring the noise down.
Every dish was delicious and fresh. The service was impeccable, friendly and helpful. The view was amazing. Best meal I've had in a long time. (Friday night Seafood Buffet). The price was reasonable and the amount of food offered was almost overwhelming! My only complaint is that it was very loud and I prefer a quieter atmosphere.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Blue Ridge. The Seafood Buffet provided an ample and variable selection from appetizers to desserts. Food was excellent .Service was outstanding. I have no suggestions for improvement. We will return.
Crab legs Were terrible ..over cooked couldn't get meat out of shell...very dissatisfied for the cost
A special evening, Valentine's Day! Delighted that we chose Grove Park Inn. Thanks for the lovely memory!
We very much enjoyed the Valentine's Day buffet, and plan to return for holidays/special occasions in the future!
Good food and great selection. Service was outstanding. Very busy night. There was a lot of movement. Overall, would definitely dine there again.
Great food, great service, great location. Made OpenTable reservations for Valentine's Day. Could not have been more romantic...except that OpenTable's listing failed to reveal the true cost of dinner, tip, and parking --- ran about $250 total. My lady friend is well worth it, but I wish I'd known in advance.
The valentine buffet was beyond exceptional. I wish I could have tasted every option, but alas I have just one stomach. There were three rooms full of food and every item was exceptional. Atmosphere is beautiful and service was 5 Star. I will be returning here regularly.
Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and attention to detail wasn’t at the same level as the previous visit. However, food was very good.
We Had a great time and the food was perfect enjoyed immensely
This is one of the top 5 places I've ever dined. It is not cheap but reasonable for what you get.
The preparation is exquisite. The Atmosphere is quiet and beautiful. I would recommend for
anyone to try at least once. We will go back again and again. We've only been there twice so far.
We really enjoyed the Saturday night prime rib dinner. The views are beautiful so make sure to eat before the sun goes down.
Amazing food, atmosphere and view!!!! Great selection for friday night seafood buffet
Worth every penny
This place was phenomenal! The food was great! So many options that I got a little overwhelmed. But it gave a great variety for everyone. There might have been too many sweets options in my opinion but who doesn't love sweets? The scenery is beautiful and the service was great. Nice employees.
We are celebrating the upcoming birth of our first child and also soaking in the last moments of it just being the two of us. Dinner (and dessert) was wonderful! Staff was friendly and helpful! Overall great experience!
Simple Elegance meets Delectable Dining. This place has a wonderful atmosphere. People are so friendly and helpful. The meal choices are plentiful, and great from children to adults. We have been here several times and enjoy it so much. The wait staff are typically on top of everything, but there has been the occasional one that was so busy with other tables, that we could barely get refills. However, other wait stuff coming by was very helpful! All in all, don’t pass this place up. You won’t be disappointed.
