It was my 1st time visiting here, it was was everything I hoped for and more!
Foods was outstanding, The best Restaurant that serve Brunch. I would recommend this is the best Brunch, Service was outstanding, server outstanding. I will come back again and again more and more.
This was mine and my boyfriend's first trip together, and I wanted a romantic spot with a great view. I was unable to get reservations at the Sunset Terrace restaurant, so I opted for the Blue Ridge, a buffet. While I realize that the expectations at a buffet must be different from a sit-down service, I still expected a bit more from the Grove Park Inn. Our server was great--no complaints there. The food, however plentiful, was only okay and much of it was not held at temperature. Given the price and location, I also did not expect so many families with small children and people dressed in sweats. If you're looking for a casual spot that will please a lot of palates, this is a good choice. If you want the GPI experience, you won't find it here.
This was our first trip to Blue Ridge at the Omni Grove Park Inn. An absolutely beautiful place. A good buffet with a few extremely good items, and some so so items. The prime rib, the chiled snow crab legs, creme breulle, and the choc9laye mousse, all excellent. The cider glazed pork loin and the fresh green beans and the tomato and the chicken soupss were tasty the rest was just so so. Ga e the feeling they were trying to hard and lost the flavor. Over all plenty of good items for the money. Service was excellent, very attentive and helpful. Well worth a try just to see the Inn, a truely beautiful place. Happy Eating. :)
To begin with, the Grove Park Inn is fabulous and all the venues within it are lovely. The view from Blue Ridge at sunset was gorgeous. There were plenty of food selections to be had. The boiled shrimp were excellent and the oysters Rockefeller were good. The salads and vegetables were delicious. There were so many choices, there is no way you could even start to sample everything! The bananas foster and bread pudding were really good. We thought the price was reasonable for the seafood buffet. Where we live, a nice entree in one of our better restaurants is $30-35 and salads are usually around $10. For $45 at the Blue Ridge, you could eat a wide assortment of food and have multiple salads and desserts in a lovely setting. We would not hesitate to come back and would love to try the Saturday night Prime Rib buffet next time!
My wife and I always enjoy going to Blue Ridge
The food and service is alway great
The Friday night seafood buffet is always exceptional. The wait staff are very personable and very attentive. This was my wife’s birthday so they did a few special things for her, just knowing it was a special day for her. We have been quite a few times and are never disappointed.
The best brunch buffet I've ever had!
We really enjoyed our evening at the Blue Ridge and have placed it on our list of "Special Places to Dine". It was a wonderful experience. We shall definitely be returning in the future.
Thank you for sharing. We are so honored to have made it on your list of "Special Places to Dine," and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Excellent spread with great variety. Gorgeous view. The prime rib could have been warmer. Wish I had saved more room for dessert because they all looked delicious!
I took my fiancé here for his birthday and he loved it! One of my new favorite spots. The dessert selection was incredible! The view was lovely, I wish we would have requested window seating. Wonderful, polite staff. I’m already excited for our next visit.
Thank you for dining at Blue Ridge, and may we wish your fiancé a very happy birthday! Although seating is made available on a first-come, first-served basis, we are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the dessert room, view, and service. We cannot wait to welcome you back, perhaps in celebration of your upcoming nuptials.
So, if you're at the Grove Park Inn your dining options are already limited. We decided to try the Seafood buffet ($45 per adult). There was lots of variety--maybe too much, but the taste quality was so-so: too many fried things, too many sauces on stuff. Our server was kind, but overstretched. The wine selection is reasonable, but overpriced. And the noise makes it difficult to hear someone across a 2-person table. I can't imagine what a party of 6 would do.
Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize that your dining experience fell short of expectations. We have shared your concerns with the Food & Beverage management team in an effort to improve.
Great seafood buffet! Worth it!
We have been to the Blue Ridge several times and each time it has been memorable. The food choices are amazing, the restaurant scene is warm and inviting, and the wait staff and service folks are very friendly and helpful but not hovering or intrusive. It is our favorite place to take special people for special occasions.
We haven’t been to the Sunday brunch in years but it was even more wonderful than we remembered. If you want to do something special with family or friends brunch here is a great choice. They have everything from seafood including shrimp and crab legs to an omelette station to an overwhelming choice of desserts. We had excellent service as well and will definitely return again!
Thank you for your continued patronage. Whether it has been several days or several years, we always look forward to welcoming back past guests, and we sincerely appreciate that you enjoyed your meal at Blue Ridge even more so than during the previous visits. We cannot wait to see you again soon!
We had a wonderful experience! The views are amazing and the service was unreal! I highly recommend the champagne Sunday brunch 👏🏻
Had the prime rib buffet and could not believe how many food options there were. Too many to list and they were all delicious including the banana fosters station. I left stuffed.
Thank you for joining us. We are thrilled that the Saturday night Prime Rib Buffet was to your liking, especially the Banana Foster station. With two massive rooms filled with amazing dinner options, Blue Ridge will redefine all that you imagined a meal could be, and we look forward to any future visits you may have with us.
Really enjoyable evening. Food was exceptional. Wait staff courteous. Abveance very appealing. My date gorgeous and beautiful.
Thank you for dining at Blue Ridge. From the exceptional food to the courteous wait staff, we are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your evening, and we hope to welcome you both back for many special dates still to come.
Sunday brunch is a great selection of breakfast lunch and dinner items plus huge array of desserts...all on one buffet spanning several rooms...and a complimentary mimosa!
Sunday brunch is absolutely incredible! A must do activity when in Asheville! Will definitely be back!
Service was very good and most of the food was good; however, the crab legs were still frozen. Over all I would come again.
Incredibly elegant with delicious options in the buffet
Excellent Food, Service, and most the Views. Would love to see more rooms to stay in for a weekend at a lesser value but overall, OUTSTANDING.
Thank you for reaching out. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your meal at Blue Ridge, and we certainly would love to have you back for an overnight weekend stay. We look forward to serving you again at that time.
We were so excited to try this restaurant. The actual quality and selection of food was great BUT nothing we ate was above lukewarm or even room temperature....not even the soup! The clam chowder has such an excellent taste as did the fish, shrimp and other items.....it was just not hot. We were so incredibly disappointed! It is definitely not worth the $50 per person. I think the restaurant needs to rethink how they try to keep their food warm for a buffet.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are thrilled to hear that the quality and selection of food was great, however we apologize that the temperature was lacking. We have shared your comments with the Executive Chef as well as the Food & Beverage management team in an effort to improve our operation, and we hope you will choose to dine with us again when we may better serve you.
We ended up going to the seafood buffet on a recommendation from a friend, they told us that there was every kind of seafood that was in the ocean there. However we were very disappointed to find out that that was not true. The foods were located in three rooms salads and starters in one hot food in a second and desserts in the third. Starting with the salads the choices were outstanding and delicious, the Oysters Rockefeller were dry and the oysters were still attached to the Shell, I've had Oysters Rockefeller many times and the oysters are always loose so that you could just pick them up I got three of them and ended up only eating 2 . The kale salad I think was the best, the blue cheese Caesar salad was my wife's favorite , the Sea Foods selections were very limited, almost to the point of what you can typically get at Ruby Tuesday's, the salmon and risotto was tasty but the salmon was dry, the crab legs were cold, unless you dug way down in the bottom of the steaming tray, the choices were cornmeal and crusted catfish, frog legs which were very good, shrimp and grits with tasty, clam chowder was salty, the flank steak was okay but spicy, we did not get the fish tacos there was a very large roasted grouper that they were kicking me off to make the tacos I can get fish tacos at any call but I wasn't going to pay $50 for fish tacos, desserts, the Bananas Foster , and the bread pudding, we're by far the best choices they had a short cake Buffet will you could make your own and an incredible selection of little desserts and little dessert cups the creme brulee was also fantastic. I thought the drink prices were pretty high my wife got a peach Palmer which was sweet tea vodka lemonade and Peach puree for $14 and I got a bourbon Manhattan for $16, we spent the $145 for for two people, and we walked away a little disappointed and probably won't go back to the seafood buffet, Robert was our server he was fantastic very attentive.
Thank you for your detailed observations. We appreciate that Robert did a fantastic job and that many of the desserts appealed to your palates, however we sincerely apologize that the same sentiments did not extend throughout your dinner. With our goal of providing a true farm-to-table dining experience, our menu items at Blue Ridge vary daily based on what is available in the local markets. We hope you will choose to return and sample what may be a very different selection next time.
My husband I appreciated the acknowledgement of our anniversary. We were disappointed that there were no cold crab legs. Also, the crab cakes, which years ago, were delicious, are now pretty bad. Also, there was not a meat option (such as the prime rib station). Staff is wonderful and attentive. The price is pretty high to us, so given our disappointments with the food as of late, we will probably dine here less and less often. Still, kudos to Michael, the host, also the person who cleared our plates, brought us our drinks, etc. last night. Would only now recommend to tourists.
Thank you for your continued patronage, and may we once again wish you a happy anniversary. We greatly appreciate local business as well as any praise towards our staff, like Michael, and we genuinely apologize that the food was not to your liking upon this visit. Although crab legs may be offered both evenings, the Prime Rib carving station has been featured one-night-only since 2015. We recommend visiting on Saturday, if you prefer a more varied selection from the Friday night Seafood Buffet.
Could not have asked for a better night, our server Kari, was spot on and went about what was expected, made the night a memorable one, we were given a tour, then seated, we were celebrating a anniversary and she congratulated us then brought the ladies a rose and a plate with chocolate and pastries, food was excellent, service was impeccable, Thank you for the wonderful night
Thank you for your kind words towards our staff, especially Kari; she truly embodies what it means to be a hospitality professional and is a valued member of the Omni family. May we once again wish you a happy anniversary, and we hope you will choose to visit us again soon.
Wonderful place and food is great!! Fun place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with family!!
Thank you for sharing. We are always delighted to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with our guests and cannot wait to do so again with you and your family.
An amazing place to visit. When we visit again, we'll make this a "must visit" to enjoy more of the dining options. The View from our table was one of the most amazing we've ever had.
Thank you for sharing. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your visit and certainly recommend dining at any of our four signature restaurants, with equally stunning culinary delights and panoramic mountain views. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
We've been a few time and it's always the same. Great food , great service. We love coming to Blue Ridge for our special occasion dinners.
Thank you for choosing to dine at Blue Ridge. We sincerely appreciate that your experience has been consistent and exceptional, and we hope you will continue to join us for many special occasions still to come.
One of the best brunches I have experienced & incredible views
We had a great dinner, food very good.
Loved the experience! We are local and make a point to dine there at least twice a year.
Thank you for your continued patronage. We are so grateful whenever we can serve our locals and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
We ate on Friday when they had the seafood buffet. Really great selection of seafood, salads, and desserts. The view is incredible!!! Service was good.
Great food! Beautiful view! Excellent service! Glad that Blue Ridge was recommended to us!
The food was over the top. I bragged so after coming before I was hoping my husband would have as good of an experience and HE DID!!! It was run like a well oiled machine and the Maitre d' deserves a pat on the back and a raise!! It was so obvious nothing could be this perfect without someone at the top attending to all the details. I honestly can't think of a thing I would change and I am picky!! We will be back and soon.
I drive for Uber and Lyft and I constantly suggest eating at the Blue Ridge .
We came on a Friday night and the only foods available on the buffet were seafood and desserts. The bread was cold. The New England clam chowder was spicy. The crab legs were so overcooked they were disgusting and mushy. Most of the desserts were quite nice. For $45 per person, we were extremely disappointed. It was loud and crowded and we didn't get to enjoy the view because the shades were down most of the time. The servers were very pleasant and took good care of us. Otherwise, we would not recommend it. We wish we had gone to one of the restaurants in town.
Thank you for choosing to dine with us. Blue Ridge does offer a Seafood Buffet every Friday evening, and we apologize that it was not to your liking. May we recommend visiting on a Saturday for the Prime Rib Buffet, or you may prefer any one of The Inn's four signature restaurants. We look forward to welcoming you back for the same exemplary service found throughout the resort, with a menu more pleasing to your palates.
The seafood buffet was average. The crabs cakes were delicious, boiled shrimp good, but the fried shrimp not that great. Too many cold fish options. When I think of a seafood buffet, I think of oysters, scallops, shrimp, flounder -- either fried, broiled, or grilled. The dessert buffet did make up for the lack of real seafood.
Thank you for reaching out. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the crab cakes and boiled shrimp however apologize that the same sentiments did not extend to the cold fish options. To maintain a true farm-to-table dining experience, our chefs carefully select the menu based on what is available at market. We hope you will choose to return; you may find oysters, scallops and/or flounder next time.
Quiet brunch with a couple of close friends. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was amazing and so restful. My only wish was that we could have sat right at a window but those were all two seat tables.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you enjoyed the view and Sunday Brunch as whole however apologize if the seating was not to your liking. In order to accommodate the large amount of requests for window seating , we place tables of two at the Winona to maximize our accommodations. In special circumstances, if we have space available, we can build tables for 4-5 at the window upon request.
