Very large buffet. Sort of like a Casino buffet. Mid level quality everything. If you like buffets this is not a bad one, but it doesn’t have the same feel as a high end Restaurant. Feels like a very nice cafeteria.

Brunch at the Grove Park Inn is always a lovely experience. The variety and quality of food is good. My only complaint is that while the price went up from $30. per person to $40. some time ago, the variety of food did not. On the contrary. Still, it is a wonderful place for a special occasion, and I look forward to more enjoyable brunches in the years to come.

We went for the Saturday night prime rib buffet and was very surprised to find a lot of seafood favorites and other meats along with tons of salads, sides and desserts. Well worth the price of 44.00 per person and an hour drive for us. We will go back very soon!

Brought my 83 year old recently widowed dad. He was so happy to be there because he used to go with his wife. Antonia was our waitress and she was spectacular!! The food was exceptional! The view was unreal and Mark, the manager, brought me a giant plate when I expressed my desire to have one for ALL of the desserts!!! It was the perfect ending to a perfect week in Asheville!!!

My wife's first time to Asheville! This place with it's ambience topped it off for a wonderful buffet that evening. We have traveled all over the world, and must say the view of the mountains as well as the grounds rival anywhere we have past traveled! The service and warm attitude of all involved made us feel right at home!

The food was average for the most part but the oysters were terrible. For the price, I would expect better quality. I was disappointed.

Mains were excellent and many good gluten free options. Chef prepared dessert was also very good. Only disappointment of the meal was the other dessert options which tasted like they were bought frozen. Next time skip dessert and have more crab legs!

Went for a date night, outstanding meal and service. We were there for the Friday night seafood buffet which was delicious. The atmosphere was great with awesome Mountain View’s. After dinner there is plenty to do with multiple bars on the property. The dueling piano bar downstairs was a great time as well.

We were told Leo would be serving us. We never met him. Two ladies took care of drinks and our bill. Salads and desserts were great. I am not a prime rib person. Overall it was nice.

The food was very good. It was seafood buffet night and there were 3 rooms of seafood dishes to select. Jose our waiter was EXCELLENT. Enjoyed talking with him about our history at GPI and hearing about his homeland in Spain. The Bannas Foster was every bit as good as what I've had in New Orleans. It has been too long since we dined at the Grove Park. We won't wait so long for our next visit.

I love this restaurant. Delightful food and wonderful, non-intrusive service. I would recommend the Blue Ridge for an exceptional dining experience that will leave a wonderful memory. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and our expectations were exceeded. I can't wait to experience the Blue Ridge again.

Part of the Grove Inn Resort - the buffet was plentiful and most of the dishes we tried were excellent (some were so good that they made others seem sub-par). We did the prime rib buffet on Saturday evening but also had a selection of smoked fish and blanched crab claws, shrimp and oysters to choose from. The risotto station was decadent, and the prime rib was delicious. Dessert selection was outstanding!

Terrible experience. Made a reservation for 5 to celebrate 2 birthdays, 2 anniversaries, and Fathers Day for 2 dads. One well mannered 6 year old in company. We were made to wait 15 minutes to be seated as we had arrived 15 minutes early. We were not offered the complimentary mimosas, nor directed to a waiting seating area.
Once we were being taken to our table, we were seated in a large empty room, which was close to one end if the buffet. Shortly after being seated, another party of 5 adults immediately behind us. These two tables were positioned so close together that it was impossible to get up to go to or return from the buffet. Twice I tripped and nearly fell when I wanted to go to the buffet. I reported this to an employee. I just could not understand “herding” everyone into two crowded tables and leaving the rest of the large room empty. For the cost of the buffet for 5, I believe the Omni Grove Park Inn Blue Ridge restaurant should have treated our party with more dignity and consideration. TERRIBLE experience!!!!!!

I make it a part of every trip to Asheville to dine at the Blue Ridge Dining Room at the Grove Park Inn as it is spectacular. This time however, I would rate it as average at best. While the views are wonderful the food, for the first time was, mediocre. I would expect much more from an Omni hotel that is charging over $40 for a seafood buffet. The look of the food and presentation is amazing, but it wasn't hot, seasoned or quite frankly tasty. I would recommend foods that are being prepared in front of you as they have the best flavors including the bananas foster, the noodle bar and the fish tacos. Some things have sat around so long that they are not warm or inedible. I left a lot of my plate this time as it didn't taste good. The service was also very slow, again another first at the Grove Park Inn. I had to wait several minutes for beverage refills and other things during the meal. Since there are a lot of great dining options in the Asheville area I will have to think seriously about returning to the Friday Night Seafood Buffet in the future.

We have been several times the food is always top notch. Chef came out personally got my wife what she wanted that was suppose to be on the menu. Excellent dining experience. Food spread was more than anyone could ask for. Wide selection of choices, service was pleasant and everyone greeted us as we were the guest of honor. Thanks to everyone who works in the dining room from serving, cooking and cleaning the tables.

The evening was to celebrate my graduation from college. I am a chef and baker, I appreciate the excellent food and the presentation, and all the hard work of the staff. Each room was beautiful and the food fresh and excellent tasting. I have found with all the restaurants on the premises, the attention to detail is so much appreciated. I love the Grove Park, the spa, the dinning, just the whole package. The evening could not have been better, the price is well worth all the delicious choices. Staff is friendly and helpful also.

The food is fantastic but they have you stand in line and then bring everyone in line in at what appeared to be 15 minute intervals based on your reservation time. It seemed to contribute to a congested area particularly around the hot food room. This is not what feels like a $50 per person buffet. Also the dining area felt very institutional despite the beautiful views. The variety of food was amazing and everything was very good - some items were exceptional

I enjoyed brunch at Blue Ridge. The value was outstanding, the food is better than The Sanctuary (at Kiawah Island) but at half the price. Crab legs, oysters, poached shrimp on the buffet. Carving station, omelette station, crepe station, bananas foster station...I could keep going. Incredible food stations and variety.

The ambiance was mediocre. They need to upgrade the chairs, tables, and server stations. Nothing broken but the decor is dated. That’s my only criticism. It certainly will not stop me from returning.
