Way way too expensive for the quality and quantity of the food
Both indoor and outdoor are safely distanced, and the food is excellent as ever
Outdoor area was nice and heated. Service initially was bad when it was not crowded and I had to try unsuccessfully for 15 min to get a first drink order. Was fair after my feedback.

The server was great, we asked for recommendations and she was spot on. Everything we had was amazing and the Ox friend rice was out of this world. We will be back again soon.
The ambiance and decor was very pretty. The area my date and I were sitting in had a bit of a draft, but food more than made up for that slight inconvenience. Everything was delicious. My favorites were the fried shrimp, mushroom roll and spicy tuna roll.
Great Food, Great Staff and the new social distance indoor setup means that tables are far away.
My boyfriend and I decided to each get the Omakase. We had an assortment of sashimi and sushi but unfortunately we both got food poising shortly after dinner. What a shame. Expensive dinner and we were sick for 2 days after.
Everything was fresh, service and ambiance great! We loved the all of the sushi we ordered and the fried chicken, of course!

Very attentive service, amazing food
This dining experience works among the worst I have ever had in NYC. Food for the table was ordered via your personal smartphone from a cryptic menu that gave no description for the options being ordered. 6 different types of chefs platters were available with different prices.. what was in the chefs platter? Why were the prices different? No one knows because there was not one server that was assigned to the table so we couldn’t ask questions. That’s okay, we took the dive and ordered mystery items along with a bottle of sake on our smart phones and each paid and tipped before even a glass of water arrived. This was a mistake because 45 minutes later, we still had not received the edamame appetizer or the bottle of sake. After flagging someone down to ask about the sake and food status, the man walked off mid sentence and we were again sitting and starting at each other wondering why we ever chose this restaurant. It was a bit like being stuck in prison without actually being stuck because an hour in with no food, we really just wanted to leave - but we had paid and tipped upon ordering so leaving felt wasteful. Wish there was a way to retroactively take back the tip for the complete absence of service, but there is not. So, be warned - Blue Ribbon in a COVID world has NOT figured out how to operate so stay far far away.
Great to be out!! Need to word on the ordering/payment app. Was odd and not smooth. Needed to fully Apple Pay for each drink. Seemed like a big waste of Apple % dollars not going to the restaurant. WTF?
It was a great experience! The terrace was really pretty especially when it started getting dark. We had a couple of drinks and sushi. It was a bit pricey, but to be honest, it was worth it especially since it felt like old times before COVID-19.
They had limited staff with limited services and limited ingredients. After trying their online menu and understanding that we couldn’t get any special requests in - we left and took our it business elsewhere.

Staff was very respectful of Covid 19 Dining Guidelines and went out of their way to make our table feel comfortable with the new environment we are living in. Everyone was wearing a mask, all orders are placed on your phone to minimize contact and everything was disinfected once diners were finished eating. I was very impressed, will definitely be coming again very soon.
It was blistering hot, they do not have their outdoor dining ready for visitors yet... did not feel proper at all.

Blue Ribbon is a fun place to eat great Japanese food - so long as you request to be seated in the front room where the sushi bar is. My dinner partner and I were initially seated in the "bar" area (with a television...). The ambiance of the room was, frankly, dead. However, I requested to be seated in the other room and the host graciously moved us. If you do not know to ask (or are just too shy) you will be forced into eating in a room full of dead air and whistle blows emanating from a sports television station. The food is great -- in particular the vegetable flight. Additionally, the bartender made a custom drink for me and it was absolutely delicious. A bit pricey, but worth a splurge. Good place to go if you're on the LES, want a cocktail, and are down to try some yummy and fresh sushi!

Fish was solid - good, nothing life changing.
Get the sushi platter, but make sure to check what rolls are included. We got stuck with eel and salmon skin rolls, which are underwhelming. The lobster avocado roll was fantastic! We definitely ordered the wrong rolls.

Lovely atmosphere and incredibly fresh sushi. We sat in a banquet in the bar area which was great for conversation.
