This is an out of the way surprise gem with a very european alpen ambience. The fondue is a great shareable for 5 people. We all had various fish dishes and they were delicious. Be aware, not much parking so may have to park across the street

Better than expected food and flavor. We’ve been disappointed with higher end restaurants in the area lately, so this came as a pleasant surprise. We will go back. The one downside, the wine we ordered for $50/bottle was good, but shocked to see it at $11.99 at the local liquor store. C’mon… make money, mark stuff up, that’s fair. But a 400+% markup? That’s ridiculous.

We are staying in Midway, Utah for one week, from Minnesota. We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and decided to try Blue Boar for dinner. It was exquisite! The elegant & historic decor, the impeccable service, the soft, romantic dinner music, and the upscale food presentation and flavors were all top notch!!! (And we can tend to be scrutinizing about all of that). Thank you Blue Boar Inn, for making our evening so beautiful & memorable.

Great restaurant. Upscale dining with cozy, old world charm. Two for lunch today. Steak frites and trout our menu choices. Both dishes cooked just right, steak rare as requested and trout easily flaked with a fork. Server did great job, there when needed without hovering. Anxious to go back and try dinner where menu would have expanded choices.

Have been hearing nice things about dinner at the Blue Boar Inn. Finally got a date on the books and had an opportunity to go with friends. Pleasantly surprised by the lively dining room which has lots of charm and warmth. The options on the prix fixed menu were all appealing; went with the chicken noodle soup, a hearty starter, followed by salmon with broccolini and grits, very tasty and finally a pound cake with berry sauce. A nice cozy end to the meal. Wines were priced modestly. Will definitely return to this local, classic restaurant.

All of the options on the menu looked delicious. We started out with the fondu which was very good. My wife had Salmon which was wonderful. I had the filet Mignon. It was good and tender. However, it didn't knock my sock off but it was good. Maybe not for the price. Other than that I will go back again soon.

We come to the Blue Boar all the time for breakfast and dinner. The food is always good. This time there were many flies in the restaurant and made the experience not very enjoyable. I just wanted to get out. They were terrible.

The service was great. Our server spent time telling us about specialty dishes and how chef prepares them. We had the braised pork shank and it was so delicious. The halibut was also really nice. Really great place to eat, we'll definitely eat here again.

First course was French onion soup and asparagus salad. Both very good! Then we shared the cheese fondue. That was also very good. My husband ordered the German Pork dish. He loved it. I ordered a chicken Madeira dish. The chicken was tough. But the mushroom risotto was great. I mentioned to the waiter the chicken was tough. He didn’t charge us for the chicken. So, that was wonderful.
