BLT Steak - at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba Ratings and Reviews
BLT Aruba was enjoyable. The pop overs were outstanding plus they made great Aperol Spritzes!
The steak, filet migon, was cooked as ordered. It could not compare to another top steak house we frequent, but still good. The gratin potatoes were a disappointment. We skipped dessert.
Highly disappointed this time
Last year it was perfect but this year all was so so not pleasant for the cost they charge
Except fir food quality rest was average not special
They ignored or forgot my wife’s birthday
Prices wre extrenely high
Will not go there again
We ordered from the sunset menu, which had a surprisingly broad menu for a prix fixe. We ordered the thick cut bacon and the buratta and tomatoes as our appetizers. They were delicious and decent sized portions. We were also served duck pate with Melba toast and popovers with butter and salt. For our entrees we both ordered the fillet mignon, and shared sides of sautéed spinach and Parmesan truffle fries. Our meat was tender and beautifully cooked and the sides were tasty. For dessert we ordered mini donuts which were served warm with a side of ice cream and chocolate sauce. Delicious! We were also given a small brownie which was also wonderful. Our server, Andres, was very personable and treated us well. All in all, it was a wonderful meal.
Was very good food an the service was a delightful young man Daniel,,,He was attentive an helpful with the menu an all about the meat,
Very nice after late night dinner,,,was good to be only ones left in restraint
We had a late dinner reservation,,,so was last out
Had a wonderful experience in Aruba an at the ritz
Thanks Daniel for your kind service
The food was great except for the fact that I told the waiter no onions or scallions or anything in the onion family on the food and nearly everything that was served to us was sprinkled with either tiny scallions or chives, not sure which. Aside from that the food was delicious. The popovers were fantastic. The restaurant was overpriced imo.
My friends NY Cut Steak, a little tough. My veal chop was so so. The ladies had the small filet. Good, but medium came out well. The Wedge salad wasn’t a typical wedge. Not as good as ice berg slathered in bluecheese. Truthfully, I would goto Ruth’s Chis first.
This was one of the best restaurants on Aruba. We were hesitant at first as some folks reviewed it lower- we are so glad we tried it. The service was impeccable. The bread they make themselves was to die for and they even give you a little card with the recipe. The food to follow was excellent. The view was beautiful- what more could anyone ask for- Very satisfied -- we will go here at least once each time we come to Aruba
While in Aruba on vacation we tried a few steakhouses. BLT was one of our favorites. I unfortunately ordered the wrong thing though. I had the red snapper, poor choice for coming to a steakhouse I know but we had eaten so much steak this week I needed a break. Anyhow, we did start with the bacon appetizer which was cooked perfectly, and my boyfriend had a steak. Our only complaint was that it wasn’t sliced when it arrived to the table & it was difficult to slice on our own. But i will say the best part of the meal besides our awesome server (Andres Alvarez) who literally could not have been more attentive!! Thanks Andres you are were great!, was the dessert. Those mini cinnamon donuts a la mode & the brownies (compliments of the chef) were both outstanding. And we love dessert!!
Arrived at restaurant with reservation. Hostess took us into inside table. Inside was FREZZING cold and barely any covers. Requested to be seated outside. Was told 20 minute wait. Hostess tried to dissuade us from eating out but to cold inside. We walked out several empty tables but still told 20 minute wait. Ridiculous. Complained to manager and suddenly okay to sit down. Not Ritz Carlton standard or BLT for that matter. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!
It’s to bad when a so called high end streak house can’t get anything right! Fist of all appetizer special Alaskan king crab was foul it smelled worse than anything ever ,how they let that leave the kitchen was a disappointment ! That’s a very serious health issue about to happen. Next filet Mignon I ordered it medium rare it came out raw cold in the middle! Worst steak house experience ever.
Starting with the amazing popovers, I’m already won over. I could almost eat 5 and forget dinner. But I ate one, shared a Caesar, my husband got a delicious filet. I had a small deshelled lobster and we ordered two sides. The barbecue and bacon corn was so good and when my husbands steak needed a bit more cooking, we were given another hot helping. Coffee and a dessert with coffee ice cream plus a complimentary brownie topped off a meal that was very satisfying and left us planning to return.
Presentation was great -the popovers are fantastic. We ordered a chopped salad which was excellent. Problem was the main courses. They were ordinary - I had fish and my husband had steak. We ordered a side of brussel sprouts which were too sweet. Overall a good meal, but nothing special.
Had a wonderful steak dinner at BLT. Good atmosphere with very attentive but not intrusive service. Had Wagyu flank steak for first time - delicious! Great in-house cocktails. Everything perfect! Cannot go wrong enjoying a meal at BLT. Would definitely go again.
Very disappointing evening.....especially when comparing to a great dinner we had at the BLT Steak in New York City. First impression the Popovers were served burnt to the 4 of us in our party....in fact we know of 3 other groups from our resort there same night were all served burnt popovers. We ordered double cut lamb chops medium rare...they were served almost raw. Sent them back for more heat and took about 20 Minutes to get out dinner back correctly..much too long while our side dish was on the table getting cold. After mentioning this to our server she did bring another side that was hot with our dinner.
Our dining companions had a mediocre lobster Cobb salad..and an even more mediocre Cesar salad that needed more dressing....the N Y strip steak was fatty.
We were not happy with our experience.
