BLT Steak - at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba
Wonderful food. Excellent service. Lovely environment. Are the lamb. Some of the best preparation ever.
Great meal and excellent service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Best service on the island!
Sat at the bar -
The food was excellent, as usual. This year, for the first time, we sat at the bar to eat. Very comfortable. The two bartenders, Greg and Luisa, provided very good service and we enjoyed conversing with them while we ate.
Porterhouse was chewy and not cut up into edible peices. Meat was horrible and not up to par with other steak houses. Would not recommend . Creamed spinach is a no
One of the best restaurants in Aruba, food is amazing, service is excellent, I go every year when I’m in Aruba
Food was great. Service and attention to detail was amazing. 👍👍
There are too many good restaurants in Aruba to waste your time with a visit to this "steak" house. From the unwelcoming reception, to the wait (despite clearly empty tables and a reservation), to the poor service, through the small "wedge" salad (without a wedge of lettuce!), the skinny, fatty, tough, poorly prepared cowboy steaks and the small, overpriced sides, this was anything but a pleasant dining experience. In addition to being small and overpriced, the asparagus should never have left the kitchen! There were not more than six or seven short stalks with tips then the same number of hard, stringy overcooked stems underneath. When presented for a taste, the wine glass reeked of chlorine and the generous pour was not replaced when a clean glass was delivered. To be fair, the Brussels sprouts, risotto, chopped salad and Caeser salads were acceptably prepared and the Cosmopolitan was exceptional.
Always great service and the Braised Short Ribs were amazing!! See you next year
We had a wonderful meal everything was really great!
Sat inside - ambiance nice, but would have preferred outside. Did not know that was an option when making reservation online.
10 oz filet was excellent, cooked to perfection. Popovers were great!
Side order of mashed potatoes was tiny compared to the sides of green beans or Mac & Cheese.
Wine prices were absurdly expensive.
Outside seating was a nice option.
Absolutely outstanding. The best choice after a hectic travel day was to eat in our hotel at BLT at The Ritz Carlton ...
We where a group of 6 that traveled to Aruba and decided to try out the Blt steakhouse at the Ritz. What a wonderful experience. The outdoor seating was phenomenal. The food was fantastic and our waiter took good care of us. Over all this restaurant is a must if ever in Aruba.
Booth seating is soooo low, it is incredibly uncomfortable to eat. If you intend to charge me $14 or $16, I truly don’t remember, for a steak house loaded baked potato, great! But if you come out and tell me you don’t have that, bring me two scrawny golf ball sized potatoes, which I specifically requested no sour cream, and they have sour cream, no butter, I’m not thrilled. If I ordered steak house onion rings, at either $12 or $14, again I don’t remember the exact price but again the price point demanded perfection, and they are shriveled, cooked way before the meal was served, I’m disappointed. Steak was good, something was truly lost here in meal delivery. For this reason, in Aruba there are too many fabulous dining choices. Color us exceptionally and totally disappointed and will unfortunately not return.
It is always an excellent experience dining at the BLT. Great food, great ambience and great service.
Although BLT was a beautiful restaurant and we had excellent service , I was disappointed . I was looking forward to oysters , and there were none. Also, a few other items that were on the menu, were not to be had! I ended up with branzino which was at best, mediocre . My husband on the other hand, enjoyed his king salmon. My guess is, to have steak here.
Food was just ok way over priced drinks and food. Never again
Over priced. The short ribs were over cooked. They offered dessert. Should have not charged. Chewy! Couldn’t eat it.
We entered the restaurant. It was empty. We were escorted to the worst table in the room. Really not sure why. The room also smelled stale. I have never been in a Ritz Carlton that didn't have a little extra sparkle feeling. After guiding the hostess to a better table, we sat. I will say, the bread was excellent. Hot, cooked to perfection. I had crab "ceviche" that was little more than lump crab meat with lime juice. My husband and I both ordered the chicken because we had eaten beef the evening before. I realize that we were supposed to have beef, but any Ritz Carlton should be able to serve a chicken. It was a little dark, so I couldn't quite see my meal, but it appears that the chicken was split and pressed. It was soooo dry that cutting it with a steak knife took much effort. After a few bites, we each gave up. The donuts for dessert were super tasty. HUGE disappointment from a name we used to trust.
The waiters were friendly and the food was very good!
Unfortunatly it’s very noisy in the restaurant.
The service was exceptional, Jesus, Louis and Franklin made certain all of our needs were met and were extremely attentive. The food quality was above average and the food came out well prepared and presented. We would highly recommend
Went to BLT for our last evening in Aruba and what a treat!! Food was superb - I had the cowboy ribeye and my wife had the short ribs. My ribeye was cooked perfectly - char on the outside - cool center. The ribs where tender and delicious. Sides where good and the popovers to start were very tasty. A perfect way to end our vacation on "one happy island"
Absolutely Spectacular in every way!!!
We had a wonderful meal here our first night in Aruba. Most outstanding was the service. Really above and beyond. The meal was deliciôus and nice selection of wines and cocktails. We knew it would be expensive, but seeing the bill really hit home. It’s a very expensive dining experience.
Went there for the Kansas City prime 28 day dry age steak. I would have to say it was the worst steak I have ever eaten. My wife ordeedr the same steak worst she has had. Found out afterwards they do not have a dry age cooler on site. Steaks are sent in from US.
Very disappointed would not go back.
Very overrated and over priced.
Food was well seasoned, with ample portions. We definitely ordered way to much food.
Service was spectacular, and great attention was paid to dairy allergy.
Everything was cooked to perfection. I had the Ribeye and my boyfriend had the wagu ribeye. Both cooked perfectly. Excellent dinner.
I’ve been going to BLTs Aruba since it opened, and unfortunately I did not enjoy it at all this year the cream spinach was just long stems of leafy spinach and A rather lame cream sauce which I actually returned. The baked potato was nothing special the steak was good and was prepared well however the value/ quality was not there for what you are charged. That goes for kids meals as well. By the way, I frequent some of the top steakhouses Morton’s , Capital Grille, as well as several others in NYC the Old Homestead and Sparks. So I’m not a first timer , I don’t mind paying the price for a decent meal this was just not worth it.
One of our worst dinners we have had in our 10 years in Aruba. The 2 orders of filet mignon were the toughest and most chewy filet that we ever had. Filet mignon is the most tender cut of meat and should not have been so chewy. The children's Filet was an end cut and was disgusting. The other Filet had to be smothered with peppercorn sauce in order to be consumed. The restaurant did comp the child Filet. The other entree we received was a ribeye with not much flavor. The pricing of everything is ridiculous since they are not even serving prime or choice meat. Truly a terrible experience and we will never return on any of our yearly visits to Aruba.
Food was over priced, I will pay good money for great food but feel this was less than satisfactory.
We were hoping for an outside table to enjoy the live music and comfortable ambiance. We were put inside at a table that wasn’t comfortable (deep seats that made the table come high up our chest), and it was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other and enjoy a conversation.
We enjoyed the outside table before on a different visit and it was a completely different experience (much better and was what we were hoping for when we returned for this dinner). We asked for an outside table and were told there was a wait list, despite that we had a reservation. We loved our meal (amazing steak and ribs and bbq corn), but left feeling somewhat disappointed because the experience wasn’t as good as outside on a previous visit.
Excellent food and service!!
We got seated right away. The waitress introduced herself and people that were helping her almost immediately. The lobster Cobb salad was amazing and can almost recommend that as a meal. If ordering steak, I would recommed going a level up from your usual as they seem to be a bit on a rare side.
We are outside at a round table. There were 8 off u.s.. It was a perfect night! Food was delicious and our service was outstanding as usual.
great food in a perfect atmosphere on the best island and to top it off, great service.
We make sure to stop in every time we visit the island! Great service matched with terrific food and atmosphere.
Nice big room, great service.
Poor quality steak and chicken. Better chicken at Popeyes. Dried out string beans.
Good bread, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes.
Go to Ruth Chris instead. Unpretentious and much better food.
Very disappointed with the main dishes and sides. Steak was cold and creamed spinach and mushrooms were not quality. Service was perfect but bad food will not allow me to return here. Ill be going back to Ruth Chris at the Marriott
