About
Lovely atmosphere and reasonable, great menu. We have dined here several times.
We hadn't been to Blossom in a long time so we thought we should go again. We brought my mother out for a nice dinner and had a wonderful time. The food was good and the service was wonderful.
An incredible dining experience. Their Oysters Rockefeller were out of this world! The shrimp and grits dish was also outstanding!
Every dish is prepared carefully and with lots of,flavour. The kitchen is great. Blue crab ravioli recently was terrific.
Very good place for lunch very creative dishes the grilled shrimp was great.
Always good....casual, has a lovely patio for outdoor seating.
I love the menu selections, the preparation, the quality, and of course the taste. Enjoy the outside tables as well. Casual, fun environment. Definitely be back.
Visiting Charleston and dined here for the first time. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, great menu and good food. Great service. I would definitely recommend.
It was pretty and the drinks were good as was our waiter but food was less than notable. My grilled shrimp were barely warm and my husband’s sword fish was not hot either despite the fact the brought the plates out and captioned us they were hot. They were barely warm. The Brussels sprouts were hard and not roasted to what I would calm done. Too bad, we had complimentary champagne which was nice but the food will not have us returning. Too many other nice seafood places to select from.
Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salmon and mushroom risotto. The herb sauce on the salmon was so tasty. The drinks were good. My best friend and I were there to celebrate our birthdays. The wait staff didn't really acknowledge it. The place was busy, which is expected on a Saturday night so don't expect much in atmosphere because you will pretty much be able to hold a conversation with the folks seated next to you (or at least listen in, comments optional)! The bathroom was interesting as some of the decor was sealed pennies. Loved it. I would go back as the food and service was on par for a good evening in busy downtown Charleston.
Blossom’s has become my favorite restaurant in the Charleston dining experience.
We were greeted by the hostess promptly and shown to a seat in the bar where we could wait for our friends. There we were waited on promptly by the bartender . We ordered drinks and my husband ordered the she crab soup which was amazing. When our friends arrived , we were promptly shown to our table. A person arrived at our table and poured water for us each. I thought he was the water boy. 25 minutes passed before anyone else approached our table. And then, only because we asked the hostess why we were not being waited on. Turns out the “water boy” was our waiter. Anyway, I ordered the short ribs, which were also, amazing. I would definitely return. And hope our server is someone other than “ the water boy”.
Dinner was awesome, we truly enjoyed the whole experience.
Beautiful from first step
Into restaurant. Our waiter mark was amazing.
The shrimp roll was better than some lobster rolls I have had. Cannot wait to go back.
Blossom is a wonderful restaurant. The grilled swordfish with the lemon caper butter sauce is fantastic. It was my second time there, and both times our table just so happened to be seated next to a bride to be and her entourage. At least at this restaurant they behave themselves, but still quite annoying and unavoidable on a weekend outing in downtown Charleston.
I want to go back and try the pizza!
Blossom is a "gem". The décor is inviting. Live flowers on each table are a definite plus. The wait staff was attentive, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the starter jumbo crab cake with the tasty sauce. The warm bread was a lovely touch. Each of our three main courses was delightful.
Nice touch of Class with champagne from waitress for birthday celebration. That was better than a dessert! Told waitress we had time commitment to catch water taxi so she hurried our checks:-)
Great atmosphere, great location, great food, great service and great value! We'll be back next time we're in Charleston!
Excellent lunch, prompt & friendly service, nice environment, and convenient location
Entree was very good. But biscuits were terrible. I had the salmon BLT salad and it was excellent. My friend has the eggs Benedict and said it was very good. Also had a couple of their specialty cocktails with vodka that were very tasty.
Always love visiting Blossom when we'rein Charlesto. Miss the old menu as those options had a bit more southern flair, particularly the eggs benedict with pulled pork and fried green tomato. While that was not on the menu this trip, our meal was still good and the service was excellent.
Food was very underwhelming.
We were seated in a cute, quiet area in the back of the restaurant. Service was great, and the food was delicious. My husband and I split an entree and the kitchen served it on 2 plates with sizable portions, hard to believe they actually would have served that much had it not been split. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the meal and service, and we weren't charged extra to share food!
Amazing food and service
Excellent food! We had the scallops and grits and the short ribs. Both were excellent! Service was great too. Would definitely go back.
Visiting chas for vacation and always love coming back to the blossom. And they were very kind to add two to our party of 6
Fantastic restaurant, amazing food and friendly service. We make sure to have dinner here every time we visit Charleston. I love the flooring in the ladies restroom. My only note is that the restaurant was rather warm, likely due to the gorgeous and huge wood burning oven. The air conditioning couldn't quite keep up.
Great local restaurant.
Nice menu. Friendly smile by the staff.
Food was very good. Nice selection a little disappointed in dessert selection. But overall good dinner.
On a Charleston vacation, we like to dine out and return to Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms to walk off the great food or risk being mistaken for beached whales. In the case of Blossom the food [spicy catfish and Southern fried chicken] was exceeded only by the service that Shannon provided. The woman was nothing short of amazing and deserves richer customers who drop C-notes on her. When there was no onion for a martini, she went to a nearby restaurant—where she also works—and got some. All the while she was as pleasant to talk with as an old, close friend. She made it a memorable dining experience that stood out even in a city of fine dining. She deserves to be inducted into the Servers Hall of Fame. Oh, and the food was so good that we nuked the leftovers for lunch the following day. Go to Blossom. Beg for Shannon. You won't be sorry.
They were very nice. The restaurant was clean and smelled nice. The food was so good! The wait staff was friendly and checked in often enough so that we were never unsatisfied.
We went here for an anniversary and were greeted with complementary champagne. The service was awesome and the local seafood was amazing. Have already recommended Blossom to my friends.
Great food, service, atmosphere. We love the wood fired pizzas
Service was exceptional and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be going back soon !
Food was excellent! Service was fast but not rushed.
We were having a vacation weekend and fortunate to get a reservation at Blossom. Our waiter was pleasant and knew the menu well. The seafood and presentation was amazing.
It was our anniversary and our server brought us each a glass of champagne to toast the occasion. Very nice!
We had a terrific experience at Blossom. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic.
We’ve been to Blossom several times and have never been disappointed. I always eat the scallops, which are fabulous. On our last visit we brought our two children, ages 6 and 4, and it was the perfect spot. My older son had the fried cod and my 4 year old ordered from the children’s menu. My husband enjoyed the grouper. The service was great. We can’t wait to return.
We had excellent service, started by the manager being able to seat our party of 3 when I had accidentally made the reservation for the following evening. Not sure if this is common, since they were packed and I definitely heard another family that was going I have to wait 2+ hours. The daily catch of swordfish was excellent! Additionally, the waiter knew the menu very well and how each fish was best prepared. I would definitely recommend going out to eat here for a special occasion!
