I couldn't give Blossom higher scores because, although my meal--the blackened catfish, was absolutely fabulous--my wife's meal, the night's SPECIAL, was overcooked, tough mahi mahi. I must hasten to add that the manager, who stopped by to see if all was OK, offered to replace the meal for my wife who demurred. He then simply took it completely off the bill without us asking - truly a class act.

Secondly, there were two large parties going on and our waiter seemed to have some difficulty keeping up with his responsibilities to one of them as well as to us. Perhaps a little "over assigned".

The final observation I have is that the restaurant was VERY noisy, therefore I wouldn't recommend for special occasions or dates if you actually would like to have a conversation with your dinner partner without screaming.

So in the food category, they are 1 for 2 with kudos for trying correct a bad dish; in the service category they are a little understaffed, and in the ambiance category, they're not "energetic" they are simply LOUD.

We'll stick with their sister restaurant a few doors down in the future and leave Blossom's for those hard of hearing.

As always, the food was well prepared and a good value. The service--again, as always--was impeccable. Blossom is a downtown gem.

One fish dish overdone, another undertone. Wrong vintage wine presented.
Not what we expected from a ineffective dining restaurant. Mentioned this to the manager who thanked me for letting him know. We should have sent the dishes back instead of being meek.

We had a wonderful time at Blossom (as usual)! We don't eat out often, and when we do it's for a special occasion just as it was this past weekend. Blossom has quickly become our favorite restaurant. The food is cooked perfectly and portions are generous- we've never been able to try the dessert menu because we are so full!

Courtney is a great server and we really appreciated having her take care of us this past Saturday!

The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the menu options and wine pairings. The food was delicious! My husband had broiled grouper, and I had the she crab soup - both were excellent! Also- try the fried green tomatoes!

We went here for dinner with the kids and they had a kids menu. We started off with mussels which was delicious. My husband had the braised beef and I had the ravioli. He stated it was great and the ravioli was excellent, not to heavy. My kids ordered alfredo and chicken and fries and they both liked it. For dessert, we had the hot chocolate trifle and creme brulee which we thoroughly enjoyed. The whole dining experience was great and I really like that it was kid friendly.

The food was good and the waitress was fabulous. There was a very large table of people drinking lots of wines and it was so loud that my husband and I could not even talk. Blossom is a very well-known restaurant in Charleston and they need to put something on the ceiling to absorb that level of noise. It was to be a romantic evening and that did not happen at all for us. I’m a local girl and I’ve always love Blossom but it’s time they put something on the ceiling to counter the noise level.

Management needs to stroll down to Hank's and see what a seafood platter is.

Advertised house wines at special price but actually only white wines were available.

Waitperson needs to lean how to be pleasant with customers; Charleston is not New York.

Long time resident but first time to Blossom. Very happy we tried it. Was our 35th wedding anniversary. Was a Monday evening so was quiet. The service was outstanding, personal, offered a recognition drink for our personal occasion. Food was well presented, absolutely delicious, and came out in a very reasonable amount of time. Value was very good...I expected to pay much more than I did to be honest. Glad we tried it and will do again.

Server messed up several things in our order. I didn’t think the quality of the food was there for the price we paid. The she crab soup is terrible for a Charleston restaurant. You can get better elsewhere.

Over-rated in my opinion, similar menu choices at other Charleston restaurants (such as Magnolias). Very loud, and the night we were there the room was very hot and uncomforable - no air flow. We actually left as soon as our meal was finished (one person did not finish her food) becasue we were so uncomfortable with the temperature of the room. Hot, stuffy, and loud.

We got there and sat outdoor on the patio. It was too cool for most patrons, but perfect for us. The staff was warm and inviting. The server, Cooper was fantastic. He knew the menu and made recommendations, was engaging without being overbearing. The food was very good and cocktails superb. I highly recommend.

I requested a vegan plate and they accommodated graciously and creatively. My date and I decided to have a nice dinner before seeing the Nutcracker at the Gaillard and our kind and helpful server Micah was super pleasant and set the tone for a wonderful evening. I would definitely go back for the clean and beautiful ambiance and the fast, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.

We loved dining at Blossom's. Our widows group went on November 30th to your restaurant. We chose to dine at 1:30 pm thinking that it would be quieter at that time. We weren't disappointed. The waiter was quite attentive and entertaining. The food was excellent. We had a lovely afternoon.

First time at Blossoms and it was a very good experience. Old time Charleston building charm, service was top notch. Excellent seafood gumbo, blackened MahiMahi with tomato butter and roasted brussels sprouts. Companions had grilled and blackened shrimp with grits, collard greens, and asparagus. They enjoyed everything with the exception of the asparagus due to the very large stalks. She crab soup and fried green tomatoes were also superb choices. We will definitely dine there again when we visit Charleston.

I loved the decor and overall vibe of the restaurant. We were vacationing and wanted to try out a great seafood place in Charleston. The food was good but what stole the show was the desserts! I had the blue crab ravioli and while the taste was great I found the portion size to be small in comparison to the price. But the dessert was a great size to value and definitely shareable.

The food and services was exceptional. Restaurant is a little cramped with narrow walkways. It is also quite noisy. To be fair it was Thanksgiving Holiday so most folks were talking it up with Famliy. Regardless of these minor issues this is a great place to dine.

Thanksgiving dinner at Blossom was great! The staff worked really hard to take care of crowd. The turkey and dressing was really good and green beans were seasoned perfectly! I enjoyed the individual pecan pies-cute and good. Felt like I was at home without the dsyfunctinal family drama! Thanks for a great dinner!

We had the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The dressing and cranberry relish were very small servings. The artichoke/crab dip was the best I have ever had.
Our server was over the top perfection. Attentive, fun, patient and excellent at his job! Cudos for having him on your staff.

From the reservation through our meals, my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Blossom experience! I am a native Charlesonian and I can honestly say this was the best Thanksgiving outing I've had. The entire staff, as we were walking through and also while we were seated, were so friendly. Our waitress, Jan, was such a delight and kept her eye on us, as the best servers do. I can't think of one second that I would change. Thank you all, Blossom staff!

We were visiting from out of town and ate at Blossom. The setting is casual and comfortable. The service was excellent and food was very good. The menu is not large, but has all the basics. Portions are good sized, but not overwhelming. We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend the restaurant.
