    Everything was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and patient. One of the bartenders was nice enough to come over and ask what type of drink my wife wanted after we had to send two drinks back. The drinks weren’t bad, just not the liquor she likes. She loved her custom drink. I really appreciate the accommodations they made. The food variety is exceptional. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

    The food was delicious, small portions and limited choices on the menu. Some items on the website menu no longer available. Food from the bar menu not able to be served in the dining room. Only salad dressing availble has anchovies in it therefore no salad. Crispy pork belly tasty and the halibut was flavorful. Desert only 2 choices, but both very good. Table and bathrooms clean. Overall good. Could be more accommodating and offer off the menu items or specials.

    My wife and I had dinner there recently and we chose the five-course tasting menu. The food options you had were diverse and original. Our selections were served in a timely fashion and the food was wonderful. My wife loved their mixed drink menu. The environment and atmosphere were exactly what we wanted; quiet and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat.

    ***Five Stars to the Bar Menu and the bar staff overall.*** We ordered many drinks and they were all outstanding and very carefully made. We enjoyed watching them being brought to life at the beautiful bar! The 'Orange Moon' and the 'Dark Red' from the Specialty menu were our favorites. The open kitchen view was not only fun but SO CLEAN and sparkling. I love when you can see the line! I really wanted to be a new food fan of this legendary place, but, I wish we had skipped the meal and continued to explore the cocktail menu. I was only able to eat about half of the Niman Ranch strip steak, which was very disappointing. Im used to a strip loin steak having a bit of a chew, but this one was not chewable for many (many) bites. The Elk was average - no magic. No starch option available and no Chef's option for dinner or dessert. The vibe seemed oddly vacant and quiet, not warm and welcoming but that wasnt terrible for a 530pm dinner for 2 on a holiday weekend night. For us, when the drink and dinner for 2 surpasses $250, we usually have a great time spending it but here, everything was 'just fine,' really. I was hoping for more than 'fine.' Nothing worth being a difficult customer, just likely not a returning one.

    We had the 5 course tasting, and the food was beyond 5 star. The presentation and overall experience was top tier. My mind was blown away by the flavors. The $$ was also top tier. I would like to think Im a food connoisseur, but Ive never spent so much on dining for 2 in my life. I would definitely go back without the 5 courses.

    Spent a Saturday evening there to celebrate a birthday. The service was outstanding. Nicole was prompt and informative and the group enjoyed her recommendations from drinks, to wine and the food. We were celebrating a birthday and they surprised the table with a champaign toast to recognize the event! We were fortunate to have a small room for our family which added so much to the evening. We did the a la carte menu with our group. The 4 appetizers shared were wonderful especially the bluefin carpaccio. We also enjoyed the salad and gazpacho and our main meals. First time eating elk and it was prepared perfectly. The sides with the main entries were fine but nothing special hence the 4 rating on food. We will be back to try the 5 course tasting menu.

    Our party arrived near the end of dinner service, but we were fully accommodated. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the offerings and made great suggestions. The cocktail menu is diverse and delicious. I recommend the elk chops. I would recommend for a date night.

    The food was average compared to restaurants at similar price points. The food seemed bold and opinionated. Great for some people, but if it didn't fit a profile I enjoyed, then it really was over the top. I'd say 50% of the 10 dishes we tried were not enjoyable.

    The meal itself was fine. The food tasted good but the portions for the tasting menu were smaller than expected and while the waiter was nice and friendly there was a level of apathy to everyone there. No one was happy to be there and it just felt like going through the motions Despite the price being reflective of a high end restaurant and it being advertised as such there were multiple people in cargo shorts and T-shirt’s. I don’t mind but it was surprising given the way the restaurant is marketed. Basically if it was a run of the mill restaurant I would have left happy but this place seriously under delivered from the hype. Aesthetically there is a lot of value in the place and maybe I caught them on an off night but if my experience is par for the course I would not see much value in returning

    I happened upon this GEM💎! The name drew me in and the 5 course meal sealed the deal. It was raining out but the atmosphere inside made braving the rapids worth it!s From entrance thru out I loved the decor. The obeisance was sophisticated, sexy, and grown up. The food was seductive. Every bite left you wanting more. The selections were quality and forced you think out of rhe box. I was celebrating with friends and we enjoyed the 5 course tasting. It's the way to go! The Elk Chop was perfection, the Blue Fin Tuna was the best I've had, the Cavatelli and Arugula salad were fresh and flavorful, and the Beignet is to die for! Can't leave off the The Rendezvous Girl drink (Old Fashion) with signature Ice block. Service was superb as well. I'm in Love and will definitely be back! BRAVO!!!💗

    What an incredible dining experience. I travel a lot and always try to find a good local chef restaurant. This one did not disappoint. Just know ahead of time the 5 course breakdown at $100 is your best experience. For the quality and presentation it was quite a value. Great work!

    We asked to add 2 people to our reservation to which we were told no. We were sitting at a table for 4 with only 2 people. The restaurant had many empty tables and was dead by 8pm. Seemed odd they wouldn't accommodate us given they weren't that busy. Then we were rushed through our 5 course meal. We were asked multiple times if we were finished with each course as we were still eating it. Drinks were good, but the food felt like it was very safe and a little on the boring side. Appeitzers there are always very good but the main dishes need so love or rethinking.

    Whatever Blood and Sand was 5 years ago, it's nowhere near that today, and that's not a compliment. The staff seems to turn over completely every 6 months, and the newest version of the staff are less friendly and less attentive. The drinks are still very well-made, which is the only reason to go at this point. The food is decent, however the wait time is far too long.

    Their menu changes with the available local vegetables and proteins. Regardless of what’s in stock, you cannot go wrong with the five course dining option. My only regret is not being able to sample more items on the menu. The food is amazingly fresh, well prepared, and I am excited to return again.

    My husband and I were in town for a Luke Combs concert and Blood and Sand was recommended by locals. We had a few drinks at the bar before starting our five course dinner . The bartender was well- dressed , very attentive , suggesting an interesting twist to a “ gin and tonic “ with Japanese gin and cucumber seltzer . I highly recommend this drink ! My husband had a white wine blend , also very good ! Our appetizer of tater tots was not your ordinary , a must try ! The other courses were excellent , ( loved the chilled soup). I had scallops and my husband the duck . Each of our desserts were also very good , a berry tart and whipped crème puffs of sort . The bill was higher than expected as drinks and dinner were combined for a total of $320 plus , not including tip . The service was excellent as well as the food however we did not anticipate the high drink prices . But I have to say I would definitely dine here again , a nice change from NE Wisconsin’s bar food !

    We did the 5-course tasting menu for a birthday date night, and it was a great time! The cocktails are probably the most interesting thing about this place for us, but the food was also amazing. Might be a bit overpriced, but what isn't these days, and you're paying for an experience as well as delicious food and drinks.

    Looking for a good restaurant in what appears to be a deserted downtown area. This restaurant looked intriguing. The bar selections of bourbon were impressive, the crafted cocktails were unique and delicious. We opted for the fixed price 5 course menu and allowed the waitress to recommend our selections for each course. Each selection was delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Highly recommended restaurant in downtown STL.

    I've been wanting to have dinner at this restaurant for quite some time. We did the 5 course menu. The food was good, very well thought out and a fun experience. A couple of the drinks we had left a little to be desired. The Freak A Zoid left little to be desired despite the description which sounded so yummy. We were here for our anniversary and they noted that upon our arrival and gave us a comfy booth to sit at. The waitress did a great job and was attentive. Food was overall good just not sure if the expense was worth the experience.

    This was our first time at Blood & Sand we totally loved the vibe, the food, and the service! The staff were kind, respectful, and helpful with menu choices. The enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant. It had a romantic feel. Perfect for a date. We also enjoyed every course! The drinks were great too

    Food was ok, nothing special. They were out of Elk. Drinks were good—Bob, our waiter was outstanding!! We don’t feel the urge to go back—there is nothing that would make us drive over the river when we could get better food in Illinois.

    Cool vibe. Cocktails were on point. Interesting and flavorful. Comfortable easy-going atmosphere and staff. Every bite was engaging, flavorful, and balanced. Star performance from the duck. Halibut a silver medalist for “bite of the night”.

    We did the Tailored Chef’s Tasting for two, and it was delicious! It’s a LOT of food - we have previously done the 5 course meal. Unless we’re super hungry (or go easy on the first few courses) the five course tasting will probably stay as our go-to. The cocktails were really good and service was very attentive. We’ll be back!
