Ahi Tuna Nachos*
spicy tuna tartare, avocado, sprouts, wasabi aioli, tobiko, togarashi, crispy wanton
½ Dozen Oysters on the Half Shell (6)
Pan Seared Diver Scallops
haricots verts, coconut grits, red curry, mango cucumber salad, toasted peanuts
Seafood dominated menu vs other meat items. Excellent food. Two service issues. My wife ordered a different salad than was served although still delicious and we didn't want to wait for the correct dish. Also ordered Brussels sprouts as a side that never came but also wasn't on the bill.
Seating on the cushioned benches are way too low for normal people to enjoy eating.
Thank you for the information. It will definitely be addressed.
Very slow service
Thank you for letting us know! I would love more information to look at the service side of things.
Everything was outstanding. Learned that the outdoor area, which is charming, is also dog friendly!
Thank you for joining us! We love having puppies on the patio!
Great wait staff, great food, great experience. Will definitely be back. Scallops, shishito peppers, and chicken were all amazing.
Thank you for the great review! You picked most of our best sellers!
Food was fantastic as always--our waiter was great too.
Tables a little close though.
Thank you, Cathy! We appreciate your review!
Ad on Instagram wasn’t specific about lobster pop up. Waiter was great. Somehow found an extra lobster. Since we go to the establishment 2-3 times a week I’m glad it worked out ... wouldn’t want to search for a new place.
Would you please let us know what wasn't clear on our Instagram post? What do you feel was missing? We were very disappointed that you gave us two stars when you rated everything with four stars.
Disappointed. Used to go there every time we were in Park City but no more. Very expensive and drinks are a very short pour for the price compared to other places. Food and menu not as good as we remember.
Barbara, I promise you the drinks are not "short pours" and we follow the mandates set by the Utah Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. This is not a choice of ours but set fourth by the government. I also disagree with your negative comment on the food and menu. We feel both the menu and the food is above par. Other guests agree as well with the other many, many fantastic reviews. Have a great summer!
Birthday. Food always great. Service wasn’t as good this time.
We are happy to hear about the food being great but we are concerned about the service. Any additional information would be great. The whole industry has been hit hard concerning hiring, the whole country cant hire people and there are immense shortages. I assure you we are taking a great deal of time to train and retrain!
Always delicious, fun, and impeccable service. We eat there 2 x a week.
Thanks, Myriam! We enjoy seeing you!
Excellent across the board
Thank you! What a fantastic compliment!
Another great dining experience with Blind Dog.
Thank you, Tanya!
This restaurant is always busy so,they sucked me in for a Friday night dinner visit. The atmosphere is casual but upscale and was nice. The menu was a bit boring with meatloaf, chicken, salmon, typical expensive filet, scallops and some baked seafood dish. After reading them all, I was ready to give in an just order a salad. Two specials were offered including mahi-mahi and beef short-rib so I went with the short ribs and my wife the mahi. The food came out cold and my wife’s fish was cooked well but had zero flavor. Apparently they like to save the flavor in the kitchen as my dish was equally lacking flavor. My short rib dish came out more like cheap strip steak that was chewy and boring. I make a better steak at home by 10 fold. Appetizer of spicy tuna nachos was super spicy and we like spicy food so beware. Alcohol was typical restaurant stupid pricing at 3-4 times cost. My wife had 2 canned.....yes canned beers and they were $12 each. They don’t have draft beer and very few in bottles. I had to ask the waiter if there was a mistake at $12/can beer, but he graciously told me that this is what they sell for. Overall, a $140 meal with no dessert and left me wishing I went somewhere else for dinner. We’ve dined at many of the finest restaurants in America and we would not put this on our list of places to return. We live in Park City so we gave it a try. A bust at these prices. Park City has some fine dining options but nothing like Scottsdale, Chicago, New York or many other places we’ve all lived. Around here, Ruth’s Chris, The Mustang and River Horse on Main Street are way better options. Good luck. Not every restaurant can be the best.
Thank you for the constructive criticism. I would like to point out some details that you have incorrect. The short rib was Snake River Farms American Wagyu and is so flavorful it doesn't need much seasoning. I know you were upset at the price of your beer, but WE DO NOT mark up beer, wine or liquor 3 to 4 times. Are you aware that restaurants do net get wholesale pricing. We pay the same as you? Our prices are clearly listed on the menu. So Sir, we do not agree with your review.
I was super excited to try this place after looking at the menu & pictures online. While the food was good (tuna tataki, escolar tataki, oysters & lollipop roll), there was nothing stellar about it at all, nothing overly favorful... esp. for the price. The service was excellent & the outside seating area is great. I'd recommend for happy hour & try some other dishes just due to the outside ambiance & to give it a second whirl.
Thank you Nikki, Please elaborate on what you feel was missing. We always take constructive criticism to heart!
We had an incredible waiter and the overall service was amazing!!! If you’re not from the area (Utah), be forewarned that they are limited with alcohol pours so ordering a bottle of wine vs cocktails may work better. The sushi was yummy and the chocolate hot fudge brownie sundae was insane!!! Will definitely return if in the area.
Lisa, Thank you for the great review! The state does limit our wine pours to five ounces! You have the right idea...a bottle is always better! Whenever you are back to PC, please come and visit!
I haven't been to many restaurants that have as many styles of food as Blind Dog, and still create all of those styles so well. The sushi bar is sophisticated and solidly done every time. And -- for a totally different kind of appetite -- the fish and steak offerings are fantastic. My perennial favorite is the tuna tartare taco, which is nestled on a round, fresh, crunchy tortilla, is softened by fresh avocado and lent a little tanginess by salmon roe and sprouts. Then there's the amazing (and huge) Kobe burger, which I've always loved. A great place.
Thank you for the fantastic compliment! We work hard to keep up the consistency. And the Tuna Nachos are a local and visitor's favorite! Cant go wrong with a wagyu burger either!
Multi-themed restaurant- Blind Dog art on walls as well as fish. A little confusing. Are salads and 1 sushi roll - felt all was average. Not the same food in the photos in the website. Other food was about 20% overpriced even for Park City. Service was ok, but watch out for the policies outline on the menu. They charge $14 to split a plate or $20 to uncork a bottle of wine. Yikes.
Kimberly, thank you for your constructive criticism. We appreciate your time to let us know where we didn't meet your standards. The restaurant was named after our beloved blind black lab and we are a seafood restaurant. The decor represents the dogs and our life in the fishing industry. It is like being in someone's home. It is 8 dollars to split a plate as we only split the protein. Please think of corkage as a glass rental fee. We have a large wine list to order from. As for pricing??
Excellent as usual
Thank you! We try hard to make sure we are excellent every visit!
a great, staple-local restaurant in Park City. fun and delicious
Thank you, Janelle! We love that you love the food and that you have fun at Blind Dog!
Great food and service. Huge variety on the menu
Thank you, Susan! Please come back!
Just visiting from out of town. Great food and the drinks were yummy.
Fantastic atmosphere. Great food. High price. I would recommend.
Service was slow. We ordered tuna nachos, the tuna was poor quality. Also ordered firecracker roll which was small and I have had better from a supermarket takeout. The crab cakes had very little crab and a lot of something to fill the space. Overall pretty disappointing.
So sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to Blind Dog. Thank you for the constructive criticism. I can assure you that the quality of our fish is of the highest quality. We go to great lengths to procure our fish from sources all of the world.
The lump crab cakes and sirachi shrimp was delicious as well as the yellowtail sushi. The waitress was great. A lot of families eating there while we were looking for more romantic but overall really great food and service.
Thank you Bobbi. It was our pleasure to have you join us at Blind Dog!
Great menu, fun vibe. Owners have a great sense of humor and don't take themselves to seriously. Overall the food was great although the sushi rolls (we tried 3 or 4 specialty rolls) were just OK.
Thank you, Peter! We would love additional feedback on what would make the rolls fantastic in your opinion, not just okay. Thanks for the great review!
Redneck caprese !
We love that dish too!
Great food! Friendly, attentive service. Broad variety of selections on menu!
Thank you, Mark! We appreciate the feedback!
A bit disappointing. Thrilled to get a Sat night reservation based upon reviews. Very few times slots, had to take 8pm. When checked back closer to Sat—zero slots open. However, when we got there, the place was dead. A handful of tables, quiet, felt abandoned. Where was everyone? In & out in less than an hour. Can’t walk anywhere fun, so Uber’d back to our hotel. The sushi rolls & sashimi were fine, the lollipop presentation was great but taste was just ok. We’re from Chicago and have great sushi avail all over so perhaps we had higher expectations. This was a Mom-daughter ski trip to Park City. Expected a livelier, fun atmosphere like we had the 3 other nights over on Main St. Perhaps just an off night for them.
Hate to hear you were disappointed. Please understand that with the COVID restrictions, (we strictly follow), we are at half capacity. Yes, there are open tables as we only can seat every other table and we do not overbook. We prefer our guests to be comfortable in these trying times than cramming peeps in every corner. In addition, we are not able to have the tables set as we normally do plus no live entertainment since we don't have the extra room this season. Cant wait till it is over.
Very pleased with all
We could not be happier to hear it!
My first time at the Blind Dog. I have wanted to visit for a long time. My expectations were met. Food was great. Fun atmosphere. Good service. We will be back.
So glad you finally joined us! We look forward to having you back very soon!
Always solid service and the food is great. Large menu may have some people doubt how can they have such variety and still deliver on quality, but Blind Dog does. Cheese Steak Burrito is a must.
Thank you ,John! We appreciate the great review.
Love Jack and Happy Hour!
We will let Jack know you love him too!
Great meal experience. Had sushi and poke - delicious. Highly recommend.
We love Blind Dog! One of our favorite restaurants in Park City.
Delicious meal, great service... the cauliflower bites were especially good. We ALMOST ordered another round .... but desert won!
The Halibut special won over ordering the Kobe Beef burger... and I REALLY wanted the Kobe beef burger... and I wasn't disappointed.
We may bale on reservations tonight so I can come back for the cauliflower bites, Kobe beef burger and brownie sundae!
Well..... cauliflower is a vegetable......
Always love Blind Dog. We had a great birthday celebration and the food was as extraordinary as ever. My first night on the town since the pandemic started and I felt very safe.
Just average. Much better restaurants in PC
Our first visit and we will be back!
Must stop for very good Sushi, different appetizers and awesome cocktails. We loved everything we ate! Would go again the next visit to Park City. Reservations at least 2 weeks out suggested (by me) they are abiding by the social distancing rules, so anyone nervous about that should not be. Great place!
Thank you, Susan! We enjoyed having you visit.
