we are comparing to eating here several times pre-pandemic.
The food used to be excellent. Now, for the price, it's ok. Halibut was delicious, sides were average. Steaks were just ok, not the kind you slice into and say "wow".
The service used to be excellent. Now it seems pressured, asking from the moment you sit down " have you decided on what you'd like? are you ready to order? have you made a decision yet?"
It was very expensive for what we experienced with food and service.

We come to your establishment on all our birthdays and my kids love this restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were 45 minutes early, because we put the time down wrong. The girl that was the hostess was put out that we were early and informed us that there was NO WAY that we would get an earlier table and was very rude about it (she had black hair pulled back in a bun and was a younger lady). I asked if we could sit and wait and she said absolutely not ( I had kids with me and we just wanted to sit down) you can't sit by my hostess stand! We asked if there was anywhere else to sit and she asked us if we saw anywhere else to sit! I looked at her dumbfounded, wondering why she was being so rude to us.... I asked if there was anywhere else she said I'm sure we could find a place.... She was unhelpful, rude and we will probably not frequent again because of this treatment. We came back and the blonde woman was so helpful, however, the girl just glared at us and wouldn't acknowledge us as she was on the phone. The food wasn't as good as it used to be, the clams had a great deal of sand in them and the Cesar dressing was not the same, it tasted like mayonnaise. Blackfish was known for the bread strips and the different flavored butter, now all we get are dinner rolls that taste as they came from Costco. We always were treated special on our birthdays and now it was just another dinner. I'd rather go to the Space Needle, The Met, or Daniels at this point, it is no longer a special place and the food is, unfortunately, not worth the price. I am very sad because we have been coming here since it opened up, it has been our favorite restaurant on special occasions. Thank you for the Happy Memories, until 07/10/2021. You really need to coach the hostess, who is the 1st point of contact!

We have been here many times and I always look forward to their flatbreads with 3 butters but they don't have that anymore cause I guess they don't have the bakery anymore and now they are just cheap dinner rolls so that's why they didn't get 5 stars...the food however was excellent and we had a nice time.

Blackfish is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the food, the service is awesome. I’m very sad about no bakery, we loved the cracker basket before dinner with the special butters. Not crazy with the buns you picked out for the replacement of something so special. I think you could do better than those buns that are so common in restaurants. Thank you

Too dark, needed my call phone to read the menu, and they need some acoustic remedy for the loud conversations from all over the room, we could not hold a decent conversation. Smoke emits from the flaming broiler into the dining room. and I was coughing due to my asthma. Too bad, everything else was pretty good, but we won’t be back soon.

We had the JUMBO maine lobster for $75 a plate. It was so worth it!!!! I won't order lobster if you pay a lot and get a little piece of it. I would go back for Maine Lobster here on all special occasions and if I had credit on my Tulalip card. I heard you might not get such big pieces in the future....which would be a BIG BUMMER. Keep the big jumbo lobster pretty please!!!!

Our date night was special with a wonderful meal at Blackfish. Loved the view of the open fire cooking and lobster was cooked to perfection and the filet was fabulous and paired with the Hornitos Margarita ooh la la! Definitely a wonderful place and priced well.

Four young-at-heart ladies enjoyed great food and wine. Presentation of food was impeccable. We had King crab, halibut, scallops and salmon. Just a really fun night out at Tulalip and Blackfish.

Food was exceptional. Lobster, scallops, oysters, salad, drinks....but what made our dinner one of the best meals we have ever had was our server, Maria!!

First time back since pandemic shutdown. Very disappointed the cracker bread isn’t being served. Please don’t make that a permanent thing. The rolls are not a good substitute at all. Our waitress bordered between being ok and lax. Long wait to get started. Long waits between visits to our table. Not personable in the least. The food was very good as usual. Overall, not our usual experience at this restaurant

Beautiful restaurant with to die for Seafood and Steak. We ordered the smoked salmon trio to start and it is served with traditional fry bread. So good! My husband had Salmon a
and I had a beautiful steak cooked to the perfect medium temperature. All topped off by a bourbon old fashioned for each of us.
Such a great evening for a birthday celebration or just a nice dinner for two.

Night of retirement with my wife

Wine list is pathetic for an otherwise great restaurant. Salmon and steak both very good, as well appetizers. Good cocktails. Did I mention that their wine list sucks?

Our waitress, Jill, at Black Fish was phenomenal! She greeted us warmly, and went above and beyond to answer our questions and make accommodations for our dietary needs. We felt so spoiled! It was our daughter's 24th birthday, and Jill definitely made her feel special. The food was excellent as well.

We love coming to Blackfish. Eating here as the state reopens from COVID was just not the same. We missed a fuller menu & our favorite, flavored crackers made in house with different flavored butters. It also seemed like the already small portions were even smaller. Hopefully as things in the state get back to normal, so will Blackfish.
