Great food, I had the bistro burger and it was perfectly cooked. Perhaps one of the. Eat burgers. The foie-gras was also delicious. I like how the fries come with their incredible homemade ketchup.

Quaint neighbourhood bistro with simple yet tasty dishes to enjoy. Had window seat which was great to watch the passers-by in Little Italy as we enjoyed our meal.

Five friends got together to celebrate the birthday of one of us. It was a miserable, wet day, and Black Cat Cafe was the perfect antidote to Mother Nature! We had a delightful evening with a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. We all enjoyed our evening. Service was outstanding ---warm, friendly and knowledgable. A perfect evening!

We loved our meals, highly recommend the cheeseboard made with Back Forty cheese which are local to the Ottawa valley.

I love the casual chic vibe of this place - winter spring summer - it always feels right. The food is always fresh and seasonal so I'm never bored with the menu, although the staples are always there for the fussy eaters like my brother [e.g. steak frites]. Great cocktails as well as wine. Perfect for parties or casual girlfriend catch-up dates!
