located in the lobby of our hotel. Truffle fries great! Bison blue burger great! Server never put in another order so that was a negative. Drinks and happy hour menu were cheaper. Menu had 3 Don Julio drinks but when asked for a drink with don julio they didn't have it. But the place was not busy and food was warm drinks had were good.

Late seating with our reservation even with multiple open tables. Host stated many times they were short handed. Gluten free menu was handwritten on a regular menu and confusing. Waiter ran to kitchen numerous times for clarification. Slow to deliver average but very expensive burgers.

Not sure how this is rated so highly on open table. It was not apparent this was a hotel restaurant...not great food. Just okay. Would be good if you couldn't get a reservation anywhere else at Keystone.

We were on vacation at Keystone resort and wanted to get away from River Run Village. Based on the location and online reviews, we had high hopes for this place. The outdoor patio has a lovely view and is very relaxing. Our waiter was prompt and attentive and our food arrived in a timely manner. The fried zucchini and hummus appetizers were both delicious. Unfortunately things went downhill from there: our entrees were barely edible--the pizza crust was burnt; the shrimp kebabs were way overcooked--making them tough and chewy; and the striped bass was dry, as was the sauce, rendering the fish completely flavorless--it looked like it had been left under the heat lamp for far too long. It was not a busy night when we were there, so there was no obvious explanation for why the food was such a disaster. This could be a nice place for drinks and appetizers, but I wouldn't recommend it for a meal.

The food was very dry. Do not get the chicken parm sandwich! There was only 3 parties seated and took at least 10 minutes to get a drink! Do not understand since we ordered only beer and soda. No parking at all. spent as ms much time looking for a parking spot as we did to have dinner.

Black Bear is hidden away in the Keystone Inn ... which is different than the Keystone Lodge. Parking is tough but they have a valet on some nights. The place is nothing fancy. The menu was solid and the food was good. This is the least fancy of the Keystone Resort restaurants. Good for kids. Doesn't seem to get that crowded, so relatively fast service for a good meal with the kids.

do not bother with this place. It's located in a 2 or 3 star hotel. It's basically where they serve buffet breakfast and use it for dinner just because there's a kitchen. Bad food. Bad service. Bad vibe.

Sat down with my family for their special 4-course Christmas day dinner. I immediately felt rushed by the server yet we were the first people there for the evening and on time for our reservation. The food was far from what one would expect. The ham was 2 pieces of cheap spiral sliced ham from any grocery store. Prime rib was OK, but there was nothing about the evening, meal, or overall experience that made this worth $250. I felt cheated from an experience that so easily could have been so much better. Go to Dos Locos Tacos across the street. GREAT tamales, not as fancy but you can go there 5x and end up having paid the same. THAT was worth it.

We made a reservation for 5 people. When we arrived the table was not ready and the waitress said she thought the reservation was for three. I checked it...it was for three. They set a table up in a dining room that was completely empty with chairs stacked in the table. Not a great atmosphere. My steak, ordered medium rare, was cold and over cooked on the edges, medium temperature in the middle. Not a good experience at all.

It was okay. Food was good, service was good and friendly and helpful but I was expecting a finer atmosphere for some reason. I prefer finer dining when I go out whereas this was just regular dining. I can't even remember what I ordered while the restaurant we went to the evening before I can remember every detail. Having said that, I also can't remember the total of the bill for Black Bear yet I can definitely remember the total bill from the night before. So I guess if you're just looking to eat, Black Bear is good - no complaints - it won't break the bank and you'll have eaten a good meal.

Black Bear Grill proved to be a cozy restaurant with some great food and great service. The Salmon was surprisingly fresh and tasty while the steak was incredibly tender. Very rare to find a restaurant with such good food in a small hotel. The highlight were the views the restaurant offers of the Keystone Ski Runs. In the evening, the runs are lit up so the views from the restaurant are pretty spectacular!

We had dinner at this Keystone-owned restaurant (in the Inn at Keystone hotel) with another couple and their two small children (ages 2 and 4). The ambiance is beautiful, located near the base of Keystone ski resort, with a view of the evening fireworks between January and March. Our dinner, unfortunately, was filled with disappointment after disappointment. On this Saturday night, the restaurant was already out of 2-3 dishes and several brands of beer and liquor, which they said was due to an extraordinarily busy week. It seemed that everything we requested from the menu they did not have. It would have been wise to print new menus; it was that bad. Our server got a few details wrong with our orders. Finally, when the bill arrived, a standard gratuity was ALREADY ADDED. When we went to change it, we were informed by our server that this was standard practice for parties of 6 or more ... apparently the 2- and 4-year-olds qualify as adults in this case. She also did not process the bill as requested, putting the entire amount on one couple's card instead of splitting as asked. Frankly, we expected much more of a Keystone-owned location -- one would think that they would train their people better, and replenish their inventory from other sister outlets when they get depleted. We won't return here.

The manager is the friendliest person! She just made us feel welcome and special. She was attentive to our needs and even helped us clean our son's hands after he finished his BBQ wings. The waiters were smiling... but not in a "this is my job and I have to smile" way... they were sincere friendly smiles. They all made the experience very enjoyable.

Dining at all Keystone facilities is normally very good, and our burgers were excellent. However, service was exceedingly slow. The staff seemed overwhelmed and the kitchen backed up. Black Bear Grill was our least favorite dinner experience this year at the resort.

The girlfriend and I stayed at the inn at keystone for her birthday and decided to eat at the Black Bear Grill. The restaurant was clean and the service was decent. The food on the other hand was a different story. We started with appetizers, after receiving their jalapeño poppers ($6 for a handfull) I noticed they look somewhat familiar to me. After eating on I realized that they were the exact same jalapeño poppers you can by at the super market. All in all I well not be eating there again, nor will I be staying at that hotel (for other reasons).

Food was less than average. They were out of popular menu items. One in our party ordered a steak medium rare. Came out rare. Sent it back and the next steak came out medium rare too. Then the manager came over and debated what med rare is. Ridiculous! Hopefully they are better in the peak season. Waitress was very nice and professional. The manager xould learn a thing or two from her.

We found this restaurant in the Keystone Resort Dining Guide. We had a hard time finding it and an even harder time finding appropriate parking (seems most people who go there are staying in the hotel attached) but it's a wonderful restaurant. Beautiful views, great food, and fabulous service! I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. It was a relaxing meal, made enjoyable by the super-attentative and polite wait staff. I feel like this restaurant is a little-known secret since it was a Friday night and only half of the tables were full.. more people would benefit from knowing this restaurant existed! :)

Christmas night and booked a table for 7. The menu looked good and varied. The server, Chris, was friendly & engaging the entire time. It wasn't his fault that the food was horrible. How can you go wrong with a burger? Make it harder than a hockey puck & wait 45 min before serving the food. Yuck!!! Wen the chef came out to see how our meal was (we had already asked to have the bacon on the burger replaced), we said it was "just ok"... It was Christmas night and with our family there, we didn't want to make a scene. The chef almost skipped away from our table with joy and did not pick up on our displeased attitude. The manager NEVER came and asked us about our meal even though he had already discussed our lengthy wait & bad food w our server

A real downer on Christmas. While the restaurant did not look busy, we waited nearly 45 minutes for table. They were out of several items on the menu- like their special - ribs. Waited nearly 15 minutes for drinks after ordering them. Brought wrong food - wrong soups. I had to ask for bread after waiting about 20 minutes at table. French fries were severely undercooked. Waiter acted like he didn't know anything about the menu.

Our family and friends had a wonderful traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the Black Bear Grill. Seven of us had the turkey dinner but one had the duck. All of us thought our meals were delicious. Our service was excellent. The charming young lady serving us must have E.S.P. as we no sooner thought something and it appeared. Loved the traditional green bean casserole brought to a gourmet level. What a great place to enjoy a holidy dinner. I want to make reservations for next year!
