It was very cold in the c tent only two heaters for the entire tent. Two of the ends of the tent are open.
All excellent experience.
Foods and wine tasted great.
Server was very attentive to our request.
Didn't mind paying a bit higher price because the whole thing (dining experience) was worth it.
One suggestion: more heat would have been really nice because as the temp fell, we were getting colder in the tent.
Even with them blowing a fuse when turning second heater on. It was still very pleasant to be dining in the tent.
If it wasn't expensive we will probably return constantly.
Too cold with outdoor seating. Heaters didn't help our area but did feel warmer areas in tent when we walked out to leave
Highly recommended eating here excellent customer service!
It was a great experience and nice to be able to dine out
The outdoor dining tent was comfortable and pleasant without heater odor. The service was great and attentive. It was wonderful to go out to dine with flavorful steaks and sides and enjoyed our meal.
Dining in the tent could have been more comfortable if they used more than just a center heater. Dining on the outer edge was very cold and could not feel any heat. A quick solution would be to have additional heaters at both ends.
Aside having to have dinner in a tent with a sweater and coat on my experience was disappointing. The tent is located in the front parking lot and the noise from the cars with loud pipes was deafening. There was a couple with their dog at their table and the dog was growling and barked several times. I am not planning on going back until there is indoor dining and dogs can’t come in.
They are doing outside dining, so it's on the parking lot in a nice set up tent, it's cold tho, no heaters.
The waitress was nice and friendly. The tent needed to be better heated it was still too cold!
Pandemic mode outdoor dining in a cold tent. Steak came undercooked then overcooked. Steak looked grey and unappealing no cook lines on meat no char on steak. Really a depressing birthday meal.
The staff was great under tough circumstances. We were in the tent and it was very cols as we were seated away from the heater.
They did a very good job in the conditions we are currently in. This idiotic indoor closure has businesses on their heels. I’m grateful for Black Angus trying to make the best of it and at least providing us an option to get out of the house. Don’t take the negative comments in this thread as truth and get out and support these workers trying to make a living under these crummy mandates.
We knew going in that we would be in tent outside. The tent has been moved from the side were it was not so windy to the front of the building where the traffic is. I was told that someone stole the other tent and they put the new one up in front. The heaters are almost non-existence. The sides are not tied down and flap in the wind so you are not protected at all. Our flap would come up and over our table while eating. We did get blankets out of the car and you ill need to keep your jackets, hats and gloves (if possible) on to eat out there. The food was really hot and stayed hot for about 15 minutes. The food was delicious and the serve was quick and correct. We asked after 15 minutes of serving for to go boxes and finished our dinner at home. As this was my birthday dinner, I was a bit disappointed but I couldn't remain longer out in the cold. We finished dinner at home in the warmth of our dining room and the food was still great.
Dinner was a Covid experience and inside an outside tent. Cold and windy day. The flaps were not anchored and were constantly flapping, sometimes forcefully to tipping over chairs placed for control, even when weighted. Dining outside also causes food to cool (get cold) quicker. Food itself was mostly fine, although my guest thought the shrimp in the Wagon Wheel Sampler was slightly overcooked. Service from Chris was excellent in far less than ideal circumstances. Took home food and when consumed, delicious as expected and usual.
Just so happy that they had outdoor tent dining during this time of lockdown. Ambiance wasn’t quite the usual but food, service and experience was great as usual!
The outdoor heaters didn’t work. Food came out colder than expected. Ordered the ribs and maybe it was the last of the batch( our reservation wA at 8:15) but the meat was super tough and i didn’t even have half of the rack. Staff started taking tables away before we had even been served. The whole atmosphere was unwelcoming. At wanting a bit of normalcy, we chose to eat outside but we won’t be back until the indoor dining ban has been lifted. So disappointed.
We always love the food at Black Angus. Unfortunately, because of state mandates, we ate outside this time. We figured it would be heated so we weren't too worried about being cold. It was super cold and not heated at all. It was close to freezing outside and our fingers and toes were freezing by the time we left. I will still support them, though, since these mandates by the governor are ruining so many businesses. The food was excellent as always!
There were no heaters in the outdoor dining tent. It was so cold we had to leave our gloves on.
Our prime rib was not good at all.
The service and food were good, but the heaters couldn't keep up with the cold and the road noise was definitely an issue. Nevertheless, it was good to get out to eat for our anniversary. Please get better heaters!
We have been enjoying Black Angus pretty regularly for 15 + years. However, the tent setup due to COVID is not to our liking. We tried it, but found the tent overwhemingly cold/freezing, too much street noise, and no ambiance at all. There were heating vents setup, but they did not work well enough to warm the tent for eating dinner. We had our coats and gloves on, but still found it to be too cold.
We did not stay and eat in the tent due to these issues, and we got our food to go. We do not live far from the restaurant, but we found all of our to go food (steaks, shrimp, lobster, and salmon) cold, and we had to heat it up at home.
We would like to report that the service was wonderful though: Amber was our waitress, and she was very kind and sincere. Her kindess and upbeat personality are fantastic.
We look forward to things getting back to "normal" for dining out. We also hope many restaurants, including Black Angus, stay in business.
We would definately recommend Black Angus to friends that understand the tent situation, and do not mind warming up their to go food at home.
We were so happy we could keep our family tradition and have our Christmas Eve dinner at Black Angus! Best dinner ever.
Service was great! Food was great! Seating area was perfect. But eating in a tent was very cold.
Great value for outdoor dining. A bit cold but we live in PNW
The ambience and atmosphere is just not what I was expecting for a 4.3 stars rating restaurant. Overall everything is fair, food was pretty standardized.
The food and service in the outdoor tent were fine, health service had been there and the sides were open on two ends and cold with quite a bit of street noise, a lap blanket from the car helped a lot.
With the new outside dining the food has surely slipped. It appeared much of the
food was holdover from a day to two before. Lobster, Lamb, Filet was all pretty sad
and overcooked. One prime rib was fabulous as usual. sides were all lacking their usual flavor.
We had great service from all the staff. Great price on bottles of wine at half price.
Great food but eating in a tent on the parking lot was different. I would do it again though.
I wish we didn’t have to do the tent but it is what it is. I felt bad for the servers walking back and forth all night long, they had to be tired. None of them looked happy at all. I’m glad Black Angus does the tent so we can support them. I would go back.
The pic was not the same as tent in Federal way no windows, no ambiance. Very misleading.
It was great. We feel safe cuz the clean kept the seating far away from other. Great job.
Wonderful food & variety. A great mixed drink. Superb atmosphere. Our favorite place.
We had a wonderful dinner and our server was very nice and considerate of our needs.
Thank you so much for following all CDC Procedures. On the other hand, our server ( I want to apologize. but I forgot his name ) , he was very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you again.
The service was top notch. Kalos is amazing. Our food was so delicious.
The food is always good, and the service staff very attentive to your needs and wants. Even in this COVID time, they are up-front and courteous about everything.
Disappointed the Scallops were gritty. They didn’t have enough staff for the reservations and my usually large tip reflected this.
Realizing it was Veterans Day people were out, food received was cool. It was tasty and delicious, but cool. Server was very pleasant, amount of food for price was satisfactory.s
