We were seated immediately, however when being seated I noticed a napkin and crumbs on our booth seats. I commented to the hostess, how got a bus-person to grab the napkin and wipe the cushions down. Our server was friendly and prompt, however, you could tell that she was extremely busy, that she did not have any time for friendly chit chat. She is an efficient thoughtful server that will keep your drinks refilled and make sure you have everything you need, ie: condiments. The food was well prepared to our liking. The burgers were very juicy and tasty. I tried the Red, White, Blue burger, which was not on the menu, but available for app members. The server was not familiar with it and had to ask management about that new burger. It was delicious!! We both paired our burgers with salads, which were cold and fresh. Good servers will come with the peppermill and offer you cracked pepper!!.

The service was good. I ordered a medium well done prime steak and it came out bloody rare! Even before cutting the steak I could feel by pressing on the steak with a fork how undercooked by how soft it felt. I still cut into it and it was barely cooked. I tasted a piece of the prime steak and it tasted like liver. I had to send it back so they can cook it properly. I had the double lobster as well and was cautious because it felt that it could have been slightly under cooked as well. I’m not sure how these items were undercooked since they took a while bringing it out and not many people there. Overall the service was great but the food quality is definitely not what a steakhouse should be.

The 4 meals were great. The only course that was not up to standards was the fried zucchini. The portion was large but there was so much breading and not enough zucchini.

We had an excellent experience from the moment we walked into the restaurant & being greeted by Ellen to all the service provided to us by our wait staff Bernese. The Prime Rib & Rib Eye Steak were prepared exactly as requested! The Escondido Black Angus is definitely consistent & we have been going to this location for several years!

Went for Father’s Day dinner. Had a reservation for 1830. Waited 20 mins to get seated at a table. Service was good and the waitress was polite but cold and we felt rushed. The food was just ok this time. My filet was puny and didn’t taste very good. It was half the size of my son’s filet. They also ran out of green beans, which my son and wife would have ordered. Overall it was a mediocre experience, but I’ll chalk it up to being a busy Father’s Day.

We attended to celebrate our anniversary and, as usual, had a wonderful meal. We had received an email offering-buy 1 and get one free. We both had the prime rib which was perfectly cooked-rare with baked potato and asparagus and ample serving allowing us to bring the leftover home for a second delicious meal.. The asparagus was not the best so would not recommend it as a side. Our server Sophia was wonderful. Very attentive. The martinis preceding the meal were excellent-very generous. We go the Black Angus in Escondido frequently and have never been disappointed.
