    If you're looking for a decent steak dinner then I would definitely recommend Black Angus. The steaks are good! There's a fair number of sides to choose from which was great for us. The blackberry ginger ale was so delicious! We did the campfire feast with the shrimp cocktail, the NY strip steak, and the carrot cake for dessert. The portions are large which is a plus for those with large appetites. We brought half of our dinner home! We will definitely be back!

    Still the good old steakhouse we remember. (can't believe all the restaurants who no longer here: Marie Callendar, Elephant Bar, Dennys, cocos, etc.) Had the Campfire Dinner for 2. Great when you're hungry! Will return soon to have LAMB CHOPS!!! 😋

    Great food and the service was excellent. I love the ambience - plenty of privacy and large booths. I wish more restaurants would design dining rooms this way. This is a rarity.

    Food was great! We think there must have been a shortage of kitch help but not bad at all. Our server, CJ, was hustling his butt off to help everyone. Great job CJ!

    My mother treated my brother and my wife to a birthday dinner on Sat. at 4:00 9-16-23 (Group of 6). It was relatively slow, but our server was great. The portions were small for my wife's baked potato and broccoli, but otherwise OK. The reason for my comment was that my mother was disappointed because there was no recognition for our birthday occasion. No cake or ice cream?

    I haven't been to Black Angus since the 80s. The food was outstanding and so was our waiter. Will definitely go back.

    My wife ordered the rib eye Medium cooked. It came out over cooked and hard as a rock. She mention this to the server, that she not think that it was a rib eye. Because it looked like a round steak. No juice when she cut in to it and very dry. We like the Black Angus. It's our favorite spot for celebrating special occasions. Very disappointed.

    My twin lobster was great. The redskin mashed potatoes I did not eat They seemed not fresh and tasted like they were warmed up from the day before . The bread and garden salad also not fresh like it used to be. The di plates were sitting too long at the table and we barely had room for our desert and coffee. The waitress was nice.

    1. Having a nice cold salad served on a warm plate is not good. 2. the chef doesn't know how to cook the meat. One steak was so over down it had to be sent back. Another was to be medium rare but it came back very medium; the person didn't complain; just sucked it up. The filet was thin on one end and thicker on the other end; there was noway it could be cooked properly. 3. Bar service was slow but I understand it was a busy night. 4. Ashlyn did a fine job of taking care of this party of 8.

    We love taking advantage of the BOGO offers. We are on a fixed income so every $$$ counts. We love their steaks, especially the filet & ribeye. They are always cooked perfectly. The salads are fresh & our server who makes them accommodates our request to make them smaller. This time Violate was our server & she was perfect!!!

    Right when you walk in you can see how dirty it is not to mention the giant hole in the cloth bench. The salad was wilted and my daughters burger had to be sent back. She still didn’t eat it because it wasn’t right and I still paid for it which was fine. The place just needs to be cleaned and repaired. More attention to getting the food right is highly recommend. The waitress was amazing!

    Food is normally 5 stars but steak was med rare not med well, but we were abandoned for about 15 / 20 minutes before my plate returned, chewy. Hate remakes. 2 people no alcohol no desert and we ordered upon being greeted, an hour and 20 minutes for dinner… we were left wondering 3x 15/20 minutes each.

    The steak was tender but under seasoned. The fried zucchini was over cooked and the zucchini was saggy. Mashed red potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. Loaded potato soup was cold and the sour cream tasted expired. The Mac and cheese reminded me of Velveeta Mac and cheese. The server was barley around. It took 15 minutes just to get our bill after we asked.

    Black Angus never disappoints me -- always consistent great food, good prices and an incredible service team. Last night, I had Sean and it was delightful! This is why I dine at Black Angus at least two times a month. Kudos to the Citrus Heights General Manager who is "out there" with his customers lined in person. He runs tight ship -- love this place!!!

    Black Angus is one of our most favorite steak houses. We ate there last night and was surprised by the large amount of diners. Happy for BA of course. Even though it was extremely busy our waiter Sean was fantastic. He didn't miss a beat! The food was great as always. Large portions. Left overs for tomorrow night. Great prices. Noise level good , not needing to shout across the table. Very friendly place.

    Hostess started to seat us in the bar although I requested NOT to be seated there. The bread was more than day old. It was hard. I requested water w/lemon. My friend requested water w/o lemon. Both glasses appeared with lemon. My salad was served. No dressing :/ I needed to flag the waitress and it took longer than I expected to get the dressing. Waitress noticed that my friend’s glass was empty. She stated she would bring more. Didn’t happen. I only left a small tip and didn’t feel it was warranted. But I did because the short Hispanic helper there was so nice and polite.

    Our server, CJ, was very friendly and personable. He made suggestions after we had some questions about the menu. Food arrived in a timely manner. Our birthday girl received a free dessert that was enough for all to share. Will return.

    We are from Hawaii and visit Sacramento at least three times a year. And we always look forward to going for lunch at Black Angus! Itʻs a "tradition!" The food, the price, and just "old school" kindaʻ feeling there. Love it every time!

    We signed up for the dining room but were seated in the bar. Since we had never been there before to the Citrus Heights facility we didn't realize we were seated in the bar until it was too late to ask to change. Our fault but wish we had noticed when we first walked in. My husband even went in to look to see if they had dining in another area with the high backed booths like we were used to at the Vallejo facility and there were plenty of open tables. Our waiter was great, he did a fabulous job of serving us. Since we were in the bar the music was too loud. The prime rib was sub-par. The meat had a very large dense area in the center that was grainy and not edible. The salad was great! If we go back we will be sure to ask to be seated where we signed up for. We also put on the reservation that is was our anniversary but this was never mentioned. (The couple seated near us was asked if it was a special occasion).
