Bistro on Eden was about the only restaurant open on Valentine's Day in Bar Harbor, so we went there, more or less ready to accept whatever they offered. We were very pleased to find not the expected nondescript generic hotel restaurant, but a small, intimate space, with a large fire place. The special Valentine menu also surpassed our expectations, and was very reasonably priced. We locals usually only visit our few favorite restaurants in our tourist destination, but we would come again.
