We welcome you to our Bistro & our Maison.
Great evening!! Great food!!! Always enjoy our time at the Bistro and tonight was no different. Deborah took care of our eating needs with a special salad, extra veggies and the sauce on the side. The scallops and salmon were well prepared. I can’t say enough about our evening!! Thank you!!
We have spent a good amount of time in France and this restaurant takes us right back! It's friendly and unpretentious while serving some of the most wonderful wine and food in the state. You will not be disappointed! Do not miss the fondue or the oysters. Delicious!
Bistro Maison is my new favorite in Oregon. Everything was beyond perfect. Deborah took care of a fantastic chocolate birthday cake for my mom's 95th- with a fun fountain on top. Truffle fondue to start, for our table of 9. It could not have been better. Next time in Oregon, I will make sure to visit. By the way, we eat in restaurants at least 4 times a week, so this is saying a lot!
Fabulous staff, adorable ambiance, delicious food! Come hungry!
My husband and I have come to Bistro Maison several times, but this time brought 2 friends with us. We all enjoyed the ambiance, atmosphere, friendliness and attentativeness of the staff, and the delicious food. The 4 of us shared the White Truffle Fondue, the fromage et charcuterie plate, and 2 orders of mussels a'la creme de pernod. We also loved the cassoulet maison that our 2 friends shared together, and confit de canard, that my husband and I shared together. It was a wonderful evening and I am sure all 4 of us will be back, either together or in pairs.
Another fantastic meal at Bistro Maison! The Ribeye was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly, the escargot was divine and the cocktails were perfection.
As I told the owner, what I like best about Bistro Maison is it saves me a trip to Europe. The food is excellent and the wine list extensive. It’s a great dining experience.
Excellent!! Great food and great service couldn’t ask for anything better
Very nice small restaurant we had a very cozy feeling all the way through dinner
Always an amazing experience. What lucky place McMinnville is to have Bistro Maison. Simply amazing.
I have to try something else but the Carlton Pork Chops are so outstanding I have a hard time trying anything else. The desserts melt in your mouth and will have you leaving with a smile on your face. It is a little spendy so we only go for special occasions but we try to get there at least two to three times a year. You want to go early, it gets crowded and it is a small setting so it will get noisy. I think that I could put up with trains rolling by just because the food is so good!
Food was excellent, great atmosphere, good service
This restaurant is one of my very favorites. Truly authentic and delicious French cuisine.
The music in the background was very bad. There is a huge collection of mellow dinner music and you had very distracting bad music.
We had a perfect 5 star lunch at the Bistro Maison recently: the soup, beet salad and pate were “to die for”. I love this restaurant!!!!
Great food, great people.
We had an early New Year's Eve dinner and, as usual, the food was great. Service 60-70 people at the same time is challenging but I think everyone seemed to be having a good time. Bingo!
We selected a special place to enjoy an authentic French meal to celebrate the coming of the new year (2019). Bistro Maison filled the bill in every respect. The restaurant was outfitted with festive balloons and other new years decorations; all staff were very cordial and very effective from initially taking our order, to seeing that any request was quickly taken care of. The food was well prepared and delicious without being fussy.
We expect to visit Bistro Maison for at other eating times in the coming year.
Thank you so much for making our experience the BEST!
Excellent food. Service was hectic and careless (e.g. my bowl of crostini with the bread pressed against the server's shirt so she could juggle it was not appetizing. Slow down!! Ran out of foie gras...very sad :-(
Best place we have ever been. Only get to dine here a few times a year but always wonderful. The food is scrumptious and Deborah can pair any wine to perfection.
Such a lovely spot in McMinnville for dinner with our pup! This restaurant in an old home has excellent food, great wine choices and they invited our pup in for dinner as well :) The confines of the old home make for a cozy and intimate dining experience but with the french bistro offerings, friendly service, local ingredients this is a real winner! They close for 3 weeks in January for annual holiday so be sure to make a reservation :) Enjoy!
Love this place. They work hard to accommodate special request and always with a smile. Thanks for being in our town!
We went there for my son's 30th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The waitstaff was great (although the sommelier mildly insulted my wife). The food was great. My only complaint was that, after a great experience, the bill came with the service charge included!! This is so insulting. I always tip well. The difference is that, instead of feeling good about rewarding good service and a nice time, it feels like a tax. This is a horrible practice. If the tip is included, have the courtesy to indicate it everywhere, on the menu and at the door, like they do in Europe. Left a bad taste in my mouth when it should have been the confit of duck.
In the heart of Willamette Valley famous for Pinot Noir, Bistro Maison has an huge wine list, but very limited on Oregon Pinot Noir options. The wine list is too pricey and almost zero options for a single glass serving. The food servings are too large. I would rather be wowed by the presentation and taste than large servicing in both appetizers and entrees. Trying to fit some of the dishes on our 5 person table was comedic at times. The food price is fine for upscale dining, but smaller servings would be my preference. The music was too loud when we arrived for our 5pm reservation. Wait staff turned it down on request and dimmed the lighting part way through of dinner. I wanted a small salad as an appetizer, but the salad was a meal in itself. My grandson ordered the same salad. We agreed that the waitress should have suggested we might share the salad or suggest an alternate due to the over-sized option. My grandson also asked for French Onion Soup, but it was not ready yet, then he ordered something with mushrooms. The waitress apologized to say the mushrooms were not in season. The menu has too many things to read through. Decide on chef choices and limit the options. I would be delighted to return then.
Wanted to try the restaurant so after a lovely afternoon of wine tasting, what else does one do?!?!? Fine dining, of course!
Beautiful place and nice people, always a fun afternoon or evening.
Bistro Maison, with its spectacular food and unparalleled service, is undoubtedly the best restaurant in McMinnville and the surrounding area. Deborah, JJ and their well trained staff create a relaxed yet elegant dining experience. We can’t get there enough.
The best of all things FRENCH. The du jour list is plentiful, as is the rest of the menu. We hope to add more 'Gilbert PICQ ses Fils' Chablis to our home cellar. It's easy to find vegetarian options too- what a bonus
wonderful place with great service team
they all work very hard to make our nite fun
wonderful food at a great price
It’s been at least 4 times, we booked through Openable, went and never get the points! ?????
Me and my wife went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. My wife spent extensive time in France for most of her life and was blown away by the authenticity of the food and atmosphere. Amazing food. Great service. The staff was on task and was very friendly. Noise level was loud, but that just goes to show how popular it was that night (a Saturday night at 7pm). I like a bit of a noisy restaurant myself anyhow.
Usually outstanding but my ribeye was tough this time.
Best place I have dined food was excellent service was awesome highly recommend it to everyone tables were set up perfectly having appatizera ready when you arrive all in all I give this restaurant a 10 thank you
We went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent and service was superior. Although it is a bit of a drive, we will surely go back.
While the food was excellent as usual, 2 things were bothersome. First, and we know it was not the restaurants fault, but the large table next to us was sooooooo noisy, that it was difficult for us to have a nice conversation. Second, the expanded wine list (since we were there in August) is printed with such small font, it was difficult to read.
Otherwise, another great experience.
Overall, a great Thanksgiving dinner experience. Way too much food served in our opinion. Nice to have extra to take home, but it was over the top.
Nice Thanksgiving menu selection. We enjoyed our meal. The extra appetizers at the table were a very nice addition. The wine pairings were okay. I would pick a bottle of wine next time vs doing the pairing.
Thanksgiving dinner for 3 adults, two children-our third time and this was the best! The food, the service, the ambiance- all superb. Truly a special occasion. Oh and did I forget to mention the wine?
This is my new favorite restaurant having dined there 6-7 times since July. I do live in Portland and it is absolutely well worth the drive! The menu is very authentic and interesting and the service is so knowledgable and professional. Always a charming experience! My Mother is relocating to McMinnville soon so I look forward to being very frequent customers of Bistro Maison!
A wonderful place for a special occasion. The waitstaff work as true team. Owner is hard at work and also very friendly. I was able to sample three separate wines just to get one glass. The braised duck was superb - tender juicy meat with crisp skin. Do try the escargot and the oysters on the half shell. Both are delicious.
