We spent St. Patrick's Day having brunch @ Bistro L'Hermitage. Carlos is our favorite waiter! He brought over celebratory brut rose since Barry has a new job. The croissants & butter/jam are always worth a cheat. Barry had his favorite smoked salmon platter while I enjoyed the lobster bisque presentation. My entree was traditional Eggs Benedict served with small potatoes. Carlos brought over a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Hubby tried a Chicken Reuben (substituting spinach for the warm potato salad). Chocolate lava cake with chocolate ice cream & a lemon tart with raspberry sauce were our desserts. Cappuccino is special because they serve them in huge cups. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in nearby Occoquan!

Terrific meal. We live less than five miles from bistro and have been trying to go for some time now. We finally made it for a celebration of our anniversary and the food and service did not disappoint! Terrific. If you are looking for something quiet, you might choose elsewhere as it's a noisy restaurant. Overall, we thought it was terrific and will be regular patrons.

Great experience and will return. The service was great as was the food. Topped it off with a nice espresso and this place just became our date night location. I wish the single tables weren't so close to the round tables with big groups because there is no space to walk and you're talking over the other table.

Everything was outstanding...nice touch putting a bouquet of flowers on our table - we were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. Exceptional food (although we ate too much)...exceptional staff. I would highly recommend Bistro L'Hermitage!

It is a good restaurant. The appetizers were fantastic, we had the fried oysters, the escargo and the mussels. The caesars salad was very good, not the best I have had, but very good. I had the striped bass and my wife had the salmon. Both of us thought our meals were ok but somewhat lacked flavor. There was no salt or pepper available on the table to enhance the flavors. The balsamic reduction was more like a very dark gravy with little taste. Out service was adequate but we rarely saw our waiter. This has always been a good restaurant, I hope they are not resting on their laurels.

Food was excellent as was the service with the exception of knocking my wine onto my lap. My one recommendation would be to eliminate a few tables so you don’t feel like you’re eating with the people at the next table.

WOULD I recommend Bistro? I would, I have, and I DO, constantly. Have never had better, friendlier service at any restaurant. According to my husband, the entrecote is "the best on the planet," and I've never had better ragout d'escargots anywhere. Guests at the next table said they had lived in Occoquan for 15 years, but that was their first time at Bistro L'Hermitage, "which (we) bitterly regret!"

Tremendous and elegant evening out to celebrate a birthday. There is always a happy and joyful feeling at the Bistro and the service tonight was impeccable. The shrimp and veal pillard was truly excellent and expertly prepared while the filet was “simply divine” according to my wife. The Bistro is Warm and welcoming, serving up true fine dining.

I took my 15 yr old son for a mom and son dinner date. The restaurant is very nice decorated and has a great ambiance to it, however the open room can get a bit noisy with large groups. (It wasn't too bad). The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We had the escargot which isn't prepared in the completely traditional way, but very tasty. We also had the soup which was silky and smooth. I had a fish dish, cooked perfectly with an amazing sauce. My son chose the lamb duo, also cooked to perfection. And the desserts- delicious! I can't say enough about the service. The owner was there and was walking around talking to guests. Our waiter was prompt, polite and accommodating. I would recommend this place for a nice date-night or special occasion and will definitely be back.
