Great new menu. I’m glad to see they are back to their French roots with a New York City chef from a Michelin star restaurant. Escargot was absolutely delicious! Delicious in-house baked focaccia bread. Shrimp and filet entree’ was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. Mushroom cheese pizza was really delicious wonderful crust. Great wine and cocktail menu. Great ambience with nice soft music. Professional and very friendly waitstaff with great service. Large parking lot. Highly recommended a neighborhood gem.

Our waiter was best of the best, attentive, not intrusive, engaging, funny, informative, concerned, really a great personable guy! Food was good but went for the braised beef and they had taken it off the menu, couldn't get filet mignon by itself, really pricey.

I'm going to assume they were understaffed the day we visited. Upon arriving, the hostess was not at her station, and one of the managers had to see us to our table. Whom ended up also working double duty as our server for the evening. The menu was different than what is posted online. It was explained that they are transitioning to a new menu, and I guess the website had not been updated. The appetizers came out longer than expected to the point that even the server/manager was concerned. The mushrooms in the mushroom escargot were great, but the bread that came with it was both burned (black) on the edges and yet soggy and tough. Our main courses both came out undercooked. The seabass was oily and soggy vs. being flaky. The steak ordered medium rare came out rare. It was still bright red throughout vs. the expected red-ish pink center. Both dishes were sent back, and while the stake was rectified and ended up tasting great, the sea bass was still under cooked. With the unfortunate kitchen service, the table service was great. The server/manager did her best to make things right with us. Which was greatly appreciated. It had been a while since I last visited Bistro AIX and, unfortunately, might be a while before I give them another try.

Came here for Mother’s Day and should have know better. The sea bass was covered in olive oil I couldn’t even eat it. My sons chicken tenders came out raw! We didn’t know till I got home and took a bite myself. He didn’t mention thinking it was fine but it’s red on the inside. I’m so disappointed spending over $120 on a special day and wish I had gone somewhere else.

The apps and drinks were good. My dinner was okay. Some sort of Parisienne Chicken. Service was nothing to write home about. All was acceptable until the homeless guy entered the restaurant, came to our table and asked for money. I assume he was able to come in because no one was at the door. The effort by the staff to get him out was very weak. I'm not even sure there was a manager in the building as no one came to our table afterwards to apologize, other than the server.

Chef doesn’t know how to cook its to bad place looks nice and has a nice menu. Lamb was a whole rack to much and over done no sauce mean this is a French restaurant and there’s no sauce in my pasta was dry. Also there was really no sauce. It was just the cheese stick into the raviolis. He needs to go back to school. What are you to find a new chef knows how to cook. Very frustrating to eat there.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Bistro AIX on Saturday evening. From parking to dining, everything was great! The meal itself was great and the waitress gave us such quality service that I felt really special. I will definitely be eating here again soon!

I made a dinner reservation for my wife, her friend, and myself. The bar area is very nice and the cocktail program was great. After being seated, our server was either very new or lost her voice (either way not her fault), but she was really difficult to understand. She told us when we ordered appetizers that they come out at the same time as entrees so we had to order everything at once (strange, but we ordered anyways). We ordered a bottle of Chiablis, it came out very late and she took the bottle after pouring our glasses (we had to remind her to bring the bottle back). My wife ordered the tuna app, the server came back to tell us they were out. She then ordered the filet, she came back out to tell us they were out of that too. Her friend ordered the scallops, also out of. Keep in mind this is a Saturday night at 7:45. We won’t be coming back. The food quantity is good, but we all worked in the service industry and there are much better options for fine dining in Jacksonville

If your scallops have spoiled, I think you need less than 50 minutes from order time of 5:20 to 6:10 time of informing diners that they are not available - and the truth that they are not just sold out to people who arrived AFTER you did but in fact spoiled. We had high expectations based on a prior wonderful experience 3 or 4 years ago and were vastly disappointed. Four little bitty macarons as a forgirveness effort, for a table of four, is obviously ridiculous. You needed to do more. We will never be back.

We had a great experience at Aix. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. The price of food might be a little pricey for the average person. But it was Valentines day so it was understandable. I do suggest to change the chairs. They are old and worn out and somewhat uncomfortable.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding attentive care that our server provided to us throughout our dining experience. Madison, our server, was helpful with making our decisions, and made sure our every need/want was met. The food was delicious, including the drinks, appetizer and desserts.

Had Vday dinner Saturday before Vday. Very crowded and busy. 7:45pm reservation seated at 8:15pm. Server was fantastic. She constantly apologized for the wait, drink at bar was on the house, salad was amazing and so was salmon dinner. Had amazing pistachio drinks! Dessert was also on the house. We will be back for sure!

I had the fish special. It was very small, very overcooked very greasy and very salty. I was very disappointed. But I didn’t complain because it was really busy at about 8 o’clock at night on a Saturday but honestly, if it wasn’t that busy I would’ve sent my food back.
