Great food! Great Service!
The interior renovations were perfect.
We will definitely be back!
My wife and sat outside, away from the noise of the main dining area. The food was outstanding and our waiter was great.
When seated, we told our waiter that we were not in a rush but had to leave in 90 minutes to make a show. Appetizers arrived while we were still enjoying our cocktails and the main course arrived just as we finished our soup and salad ( 20 minutes after being seated). We refused the entree and told them to wait 30 minutes. If I wanted that fast service, I would have gone to McDonalds! 30 minutes later the entree arrived fresh and pipping hot. The manager apologised for the initial rushed service. Food as always was excellent.
Great food, great service, overall excellent experience! The filet did not disappoint! We each ordered our own dessert - all were delicious. Very glad they are back up and running!
I've eaten here many times and it's always been stellar. But this last time my duck was rare so I sent it back and it came back rare again. I ended up skipping the entrée as we had a show to get to,
Our server Mikayla I think was her name was outstanding. She was very attentive and went above and beyond for my friend and I to have a great experience.
The fact that Tosha is managing the bar was enough for my party to eat at the bar, and enough for me to add Bistro back to my weekly rotation. Great hire! She’s a magician!
Beautiful restaurant, amazing service and food! We had the best service and the food did not disappoint!! We will be back for sure!!
So glad that the Bistro is open again. Have never been disappointed with a meal here and the service and knowledge of our waiter was excellent.
Waiter nice but seemed terribly inexperienced. Would disappear for long periods of time. Food was just fair. The atmosphere was described as dressy but was very casual.
First time we have been back since the reopening and the food was excellent as usual. The only negative was that we had a what we assumed was a new server and she was not as attentive or knowledgeable as the normal staff. One of the servers noticed our lack of service and stepped in to help her out.
The food was outstanding, A+. Ambiance was very good. Service was a letter grade B. My only criticism is that the Booth (near the kitchen) was very small and cramped. Three of us were seated for a business dinner and it it felt like we were too close with our feet bumping each other. Re-configure the Booth or limit to customers weighing under 110 pounds. Without the Booth factor, letter grade of A- that particular night. I would recommend, and we will be back.
Food was tasty and the wait staff was very helpful!
We went on a date for our 20th anniversary. We are new to Jax and had visited once before pre-hurricane and had a nice meal. We were looking forward to the re-opening. We had a nice bottle of wine from the Gigondas region. I had the petite filet and my wife had the steak frite. Both pieces of meat were cooked perfectly with nicely done sides. I have to give special mention to the au gratin potatoes which were amazing. Our server, Jenny was wonderful, personal and friendly. We passed on desert as I had a special desert waiting at home. Still the pastry chef sent us home with 4 macaroons that were deliciously enjoyed prior to sleep. A very wonderful way to spend a very special occasion.
The food was amazing. Our server was delightful.
The food and service was great! A great choice for lunch or dinner.
Good variety on the menu and excellent service. We are looking forward to the next visit.
good place for a business lunch meeting or evening outing
Good food, no dinner specials yet due to reopening after hurricane. It was more noisy than I remember.
We just moved back to Jacksonville last April. Bistro AIX was on our list of restaurants to checkout. Jacksonville unfortunately experienced Hurricane Irma and unfortunately hit the San Marco area pretty bad including Bistro AIX. We are so glad you guys have reopened!! We had a wonderful evening!
Love this place! Great food, service and atmosphere! Ask for Dean he will take care if you!
Great food and terrific service. Great business dinner location.
Another great dining experience. Brought out of town guests. Although new kitchen staff since hurricane the food continues to be good. Tuna Nicoise and steak frites were excellent. Caesar salad was a surprise, not classic and in our opinion only OK, still prefer a classic Caesar
Service very good
Restaurant quiet but not full on night we went
Great for late-night dining in Downtown Jacksonville - after concert or theater.
We had a fabulous meal from appetizer to dessert. Our server Michael and the staff made the whole dining experience very special.
Consistent good food and service. Nose level is a consistent problem --- so much so that we avoid dinning there during busy hours. Otherwise, the restaurant is a good value and enjoyable.
Bistro Aix has done a fine job renovating.
We enjoyed everything!
Excellent service. French onion soup was bizarre with thick base, did not care for. Fish in sandwich was spoiled. Won’t be back.
Restaurant has à French name ´Aix’ which is a great city but does not stand up to the image of the city.
No real daily menu, it’s more a repeat menu.
Menus were old with water stains on them.
Service was ok
Food was ok, not great and not bad.
In Jacksonville this could be considered a good restaurant, in my town it would not
This was our second trip to Bistro Aix since they reopened. Once again, the service and the meal were exceptional. Our waiter asked us up front if we had theater tickets which we did. He let us know that he would pace dinner to give us time to reach the theater. Perfect--we got to our seats 10 minutes before show time. There were four of us and each of us was delighted with our choices. If you are a beets fan, do not miss the beet salad. The short ribs, salmon, and ahi were just right. The wine list is broad enough to cover any meal. My wife drinks quite a bit of water. It was commical, but we counted 9 different people who refilled her water glass,
Very friendly service. Drink service was surprisingly slow. Great food.
Four different palates; four different entrees; four fabulous meals! The restored restaurant was beautiful, the suggested wine pairings were well thought-out and enjoyable, and the table service was efficient and engaging (if it seemed like we saw quite a few different people). House wines and craft cocktails were very nice and the desserts sampled with espresso finished a memorable dining experience. If there were any question marks it was the booth we had rocked when the next party moved and facing the street and watching the traffic was distracting and not in keeping with the rest of the ambiance. Unfortunately, no shades or curtains were available. Can't wait to go back when we can sit at the counter and watch the kitchen staff hard at work!
Family in town
My wife took me for my birthday since they had recently reopened after hurricane Irma forced them to close for nearly six months. Food was very good as was the service, and they were quite accommodating to my wife who have sensitivities to gluten and olive oil. Glad to see them back!
The duck dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was Will and he was very knowledgeable and attentive.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with a large family gathering. Despite a table for 17, the food and service were outstanding!
Great food. Perfect for special occasions.
The newly reopened Bistro Aix looks much the same after last year's hurricane. My friend and I a cup of the French Onion Soup which was very good. We also had the Tuna Crunchy Roll which was just OK. The "crunchy" part was actually a thin slide of cucumber wrapped around a tuna tartar.
Used to be my favorite lunch place, they are not quite up to speed after the hurricane closure. But we’ll give them a chance.
