What a fantastic evening we had at Bistro 112!!! The food was fantastic, the ambiance of the outside dining was stunning, the staff treated us just like family. I can not remember ever having a better evening!
Excellent meal and so appreciate everything they did to ensure health and safety during our first meal out since the pandemic started. Lovely outdoor space and excellent food and cocktails as always. Our server was very attentive and pleasant, but a bit "green". Will definitely get back here again soon!
Dining al fresco on the sidewalk felt like a true European experience! Every effort was made to keep guests and staff safe.. the food was delightful, the French rose' was well chilled and refreshing, and the group next to us had a puppy! What's better than that?
Bistro 112 served my friend and I an excellent meal. The service was well-timed. The atmosphere, relaxing, the decor colorful and there are lots of nice art pieces upon which to rest your eye. The golden beet and ginger soup had just the right amount of snap to it. The steak went over very well. Cooked medium rare and presenting a most welcome tenderness. The eggplant dish had a number of tastes to recommend it from the crispy breaded exterior to the light tomato sauce accompanying the zucchini and onions surrounding it. I also had a side salad with a very light and tasty Boston lettuce, walnuts, grapes and a refreshing dressing. Sharing a good meal at the end of a very busy week is a delight and we certainly appreciated our visit to Bistro 112.
Great food and service as always! Excellent raw oysters.
Wonderful food, good service, and a charming atmosphere.
This was our third time dining at Bistro 112 over the past year and the food and drinks are consistently exceptional.
The experience was awesome, as was the food and service. Highly recommend and only about 20 minutes from the Antietam National Battlefield.
Great menu. Amazing service. Authentic ambiance. Delicious appetizer, entree and dessert. I could eat anywhere for my birthday celebration and I chose this restaurant.
One of the best restaurant meals I've had in the last year.
Good food, but pricey and limited dinner selection. Go for lunch instead.
Ideal setting for a romantic dinner for two. Food is excellent and not too fancy.
Very delicious food, great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend that this is a great place to enjoy dinner with friends and family!
Seated promptly, but it was the only thing that was prompt. Wait staff inattentive. An otherwise good meal was not a good experience.
New Years Eve dinner was fabulous. The oyster stew was exceptional. A really great value and beautiful evening.
It is an old house and tight table spacing. It is very noisy at times. However, it is charming.
Bistro 112 was wonderful, as always! I had the steak with pepper sauce and my husband had the special (pan-fried chicken with curry sauce). Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts, which were amazing! The sauce was so good I dipped my fries in it - heavenly! The service was excellent, and even though the downstairs dining area was almost full, it wasn't too noisy. We could still have a conversation. Overall, a wonderful experience!
It was pretty great food and the service was awesome!
We were greeted at the door and taken care of immediately. Since this was a special occasion, we were offered a very special table. Everyone was super friendly. The food was superb and the ambiance just perfect for our anniversary. We loved the experience, and although we were only visiting for the weekend, hope to return sometime.
Charming bistro in a charming town. Had a very quite and pleasant dinner . Loved the scallops.
I had the scallop/mushroom app and the duck entree, both were unique and delicious. My wife was very happy with her onion soup and beet salad. She loved the candies nuts in the salad. Our table was secluded by the window and the service was very attentive. Only complaint was they turned off the special holiday light display before my wife got to see it.
Service is generally excellent at Bistro 112 but dined here Friday night with very slow service from the initial drinks to the entrees and no recognition of this from the wait staff or owner. Food is excellent. Very charming ambience.
Overall a nice restaurant, the food was decent and the pricing reasonable. The services was very good.
The duck, bread and onion soup were delicious ! The dining area is small so be sure to make a reservation. Very quaint and the music was lovely. It was decorated with Christmas lights which was a nice touch. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.
While visiting Shepherdstown we passed by The Press Room and noticed it serves brunch. There seem to be few brunch options in town and the PR’s brunch menu looked limited, but we decided to return the next morning. We were glad we did. The PR’s official brunch menu, while including some nice options, is deceiving - in a good way. When our server arrived, we were surprised to find that the list of daily specials rivaled the menu items - and all sounded great. The food itself also impressed. The portions were generous. And the service was friendly and attentive. So glad we chose PR!
This was our second visit to Bistro 112 and it won't be our last. What a great find in Shepherdstown. You feel as though you are in a small quaint restaurant in the French countryside. Service is excellent and the food is superb. We really enjoy this cozy restaurant and look forward to visiting again. Would absolutely recommend it to folks visiting Shepherdstown.
This was the first time that we have been to the bistro and it was a perfect dinner and experience in every way! I can hardly wait to go back!
Perfect! Presentation, service, food. If you are looking for a special dining experience or a place to visit regularly, you won’t regret choosing Bistro. I’m quite the critic. (If a server addresses my party as “you guys”, the experience is soured.) So I can tell you that the staff is well trained and the food is as appealing to the eye as it is delicious - meeting my expectations for a lovely outing at Bistro. Bon Appetit.
This place felt as if I was dining at my friend’s home. Very comfy, quaint, quiet. I loved the old building. The crispy chicken sandwich on the specials menu was GREAT! The waitress was funny and congenial. Only down side was it took awhile for our entrees to arrive. Would highly recommend nonetheless!!
My wife and I went for date night at Bistro 112. I had been wanting to go here for quite awhile, and it was a very enjoyable experience. Appetizer, the house-made Pate, was very good. Scallops, which I had for my entrée, were amazing! My wife's steak, with peppercorn cream sauce was also great! Side items with entrées seemed not quite up to par, and rice was bland and slightly undercooked. Desert was spectacular! My wife had a traditional vanilla Crème Brulee, and I had the Chocolate Mousse, both with Cappuccino. Serving sizes were perfect, and absolutely delicious.
Overall, was a great meal and a fantastic evening. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family.
While visiting Shepherdstown, we dined there with a cousin and spouse. I had hanger steak which was a little tough but tasty and the fries were good. My wife had salmon and liked it although she said that the potatoes that came with it were more like chips.
Went there for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was really good and it is in the cute town of Shepherdstown, WV. The only criticism I had was we had reservations at 6:45, because it was a week night they started shutting down early because no one was coming in but closing time was 9 pm. I felt a little rushed. The other was it was cold. Definitely, worth it though, I would go back.
We had excellent food and service. The pate and charcuterie were wonderful. We found one of our favorite French wineries on the wine list. When you go, don't miss the duck or the mussels!
Been here twice before and it was great. But this time the best I can say is it was OK; especially with a $95 at the end of the night. The food wasn’t bad, but I think I could have gotten the same quality and taste at a couple other restaurants in town for less. I did feel the service was a little slow. I understand they aren’t trying to rush like other restaurants, but getting drinks and clearing dishes should be quicker than it was.
Very nice. Great food and service. My only complaint was the comfort of the chairs.
Great food and ambience.
Always honor our requested table.
Accomodate special diets.
Great food. My husband had the duck and I had the chicken. The Brussels sprout were amazing.
Wonderful experience from the time we were greeted.
Excellent service and outstanding food.
Restaurant staff could not have been nicer.
Relaxed atmosphere, casual dress, excellent food, great dessert ... what more could one want!!
This was an outstanding small restaurant with French style cooking which I found to be excellent as well as expressed by my French friend. We had the specialty beef, " l'entrecote au poivre vert", on the fixed price menu and would recommend this to anyone who has a love of beef cooked in the French style. My first course was French onion soup and I don't think I have ever had onion soup any better including in France.
