Delicious food, friendly service and great atmosphere. Never disappoints. Highly recommended.
My wife ordered the pork chop. It was cooked well and came with roasted bell peppers which was not mentioned on the menu. My pasta was great!
Fantastic! I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was the best I have ever had! Highly recommend!
We love this place! We had our biggest group (15) and we all were served at a reasonable pace. Food was great. we love the ambiance and so convenient as well!! The servers are amazing here. Its like you look at them and they already know what you need. :)
Had an enjoyable dinner and the food was excellent.
Fabulous menu, setting, service, food, prices... EVERYTHING.
great menu - lots of varied choices.
Our server and service was exceptional. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Thank you.
Best food in Southern California
Love the quiet dinner time vibe...can actually have a conversation!
My swordfish was not up to Bistango’s normal standard. Thin pieces and tough.
Fun romantic amazing food quality atmosphere BEST ENTERTAINMENT. Le Grand Barr If you want to have the most fun with a little dancing and all upbeat music from 70s to current funk jazz and amazing energy. Definitely recommend that’s the best time
I love this restaurant for business lunches. Good quality in all aspects.
When the restaurant was quite empty at 5:30, our waiter seemed more focused on cleaning the wine glasses and polishing the silverware on the other empty tables than attending to us. With a $62 bottle of wine, we expected him to keep an eye on our glasses but we had to pour the wine ourselves. Other than that he was friendly and professional.
Disappointed. We eat at Bistango often and tried Valentines day. First, never let them sit you in the back room. This is a boring overflow room to make more money. Bland white painted walls with a few painting for sale. You sit there while the music and ambiance are in the other dining area far away.
Second, you think they would plan ahead and order enough food for a planned meal night. Twice the waiter came back to our table and said they were out of that dish. Never again on a "Prix Fixe" menu night, which just mean fixed price.
Also, we have never seen these waiters here and they were inexperienced and probably temporary hires for the busy night only
Took 45 minutes to get appetizers, on a prefixed menu. Also had to ask multiple times for drink service. Had to ask for desert to go since we were going to be late to catch a show. Given it was Valentine’s Day, but on a prefixed menu, with a reservation, at this type of restaurant. I dunno I expect more for spending $250 on two people.
Took my girlfriend there for Valentine's day. Everything about that place was top notch. The food was fan-effing-tastic, great ambiance, and our server Chris was attentive but not overbearing. Definitely will be back.
It was busy and we waited for 25minutes and seated at a small table. Food was excellent, but pricy for a 3 course meal. Waitress seem over welm, but tried her best. We have been there many times for the regular menu which we enjoyed.
Hate the limited valentines menu, ridiculous inflated holiday pricing, and lack of attention on February 14th. Looking forward to trying a regular menu, service, and pricing on a normal night.
We were there for Valentines night and enjoyed the fixed priced three course meal. Wasn't expecting music but the piano player and singer were an added bonus. Food was really good the service was excellent.
It was our very first time visiting bistango so we really didn’t have any expectation we’ve been to a lot of restaurant such as Ruth Chris , Houston, Morton steakhouse but I have to say this place is very different the quality of food is excellent and Our Waiter Steve was awesome
we had a great time with him and everything was brought out fairly quickly All and all it was a great valentines. my wife and I will definitely come back.
Had a great time. It was Valentines Day and they had a prix fix menu that still gave us great choices. This restaurant is at least 30 years old but I had no idea it was there; don’t know how I missed it. We will be back.
We haven’t eaten at Bistango in 17 years and we were really looking forward to it. We made reservations online after looking online to be sure they did not have a fixed valentines menu as we never go to a restaurant on Valentines that does.
When we got there we were disappointed to see they had a fixed and extremely overpriced menu for Valentines.
At the price they charge they only gave you two small items to eat at your meal and they only had one very processed dessert mouse for their dessert option.
We also were disappointed that the live music didn’t start until 8pm when the website again was wrong and said 7:30. We even asked our waitress and she said the music began at 7:30 but the musician got there and said 8pm and he was unwilling to begin before that.
To say we will be back after a disappointing evening, won’t be the case.
We were so looking forward to this night because we had good memories from this restaurant but they disappointed us in every way and you obviously can’t trust what they say on their website.
Bistango has been our “go to” place for Valentine’s Day for the past few years. There are a wide variety of dishes on the fixed menu to choose from and service is always right on. Bistango never disappoints!
Very noice in backroom, AC sounded like vacuum cleaner next door. Non stop.
No music, uncomfortable chairs, obviously a storage room was converted to extra space for valentines day. Not what you would expect for a high end restaurant.
Disappointing and won't be back
$82 apiece for a prix fixe meal on Valentine's Day. Only three courses. Should of included an appetizer. The salad was very good as was the entree. But there was only one choice for dessert. Some sort of mediocre white choc that we couldn't and wouldn't eat. Not sure we will go back.
Always a great experience . . . fabulous food, outstanding service and a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Truly one of the top restaurants in OC.
We’ve been to Bistango in the past and thought food was much better in the past. Ordered creamed spinach and it was so spicy we sent it back for sautéed spinach...marginal at best. Salad was very good. Pork chop was overcooked. All in all, average experience at a high price.
Our server was awseome - I liked the snapper special. My guest's fish was a little undercooked- he brought that to the staff's attention and it fixed quickly and professionaly .
The food is exceptional great ambiance ; bar area very open live. Using is a nice touch. This is a great place to have on the Resturuant rotation ; business or personal it’s a classy spot.
Excellent food and service at this long-standing restaurant that caters to business and local clientele.
Great meal quiet and allowed conversation cant wait to go back
Fabulous food, service and ambience!
Years of dining here and we have never been disappointed!
Nice restaurant, food was ok, service was good. Nice atmosphere
We've been coming here for special occasions for over 25 years. Service is always excellent. We both enjoy the live music which starts at 7PM...not late as some restaurants. My favorite fusilli pasta with asparagus and shrimp is no longer on the menu and I tried the pasta with filet mignon which was too salty. My husbands salmon was perfectly prepared but next time we should ask for them to hold the salt!
We'll be back...just with some instructions of the amount of sodium...otherwise a very enjoyable evening.
Great atmosphere and super musical group. Really friendly staff.
Server seemed like he was having an off day, disinterested and kind of awkward. Food was OK but was expecting more for the price. Even the very popular garlic soup seemed a bit runny and meh. Vibe and crowd in restaurant is dated, but this restaurant was probably a major hotspot in the 90s. Real disappointment was that we wanted to try the soufflé for dessert, but server failed to offer this to us as an option when he brought out our dinner entrees, as is standard in any restaurant that offers a dessert that takes a long time, such as a soufflé or lava cake. We didn’t want to wait an additional 30 minutes for a soufflé after we had already finished our dinner. Please train your staff to tell guests about the soufflé before or when dropping off entrees.
Food was excellent but service was very slow. We had to ask to order drinks. Our drinks were empty and we had to ask for another. We felt that we weren’t a priority.
Excellent dining experience, the food was fantastic!
I was very happy with the service but mainly the food. It was delicious.
