Birch & Vine is an innovative restaurant within the hip boutique hotel known as The Birchwood. Birch & Vine takes a seasonal approach to crafting its Globally Inspired cuisine.     Went for Sunday brunch on our anniversary. Service was wonderful. Food was fabulous. Kevin was our server. He made excellent recommendations and suggested we visit their rooftop bar and taking in the beautiful view before leaving the area. Will go back next time we’re in town!!

    One of the finest meals we’ve enjoyed anywhere! Great service, not rushed. We spent just over 2hrs at table. Great selection of inventive food combinations. Everything cooked to perfection and elegantly plated. Would highly recommend.

    Always a pleasant location to dine. This time it was for Sunday “Brunch”. Good service a nice view of the street and the water where they were lifting out the power boats from the races.

    It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to birch and vine and I have to say I was underwhelmed. They have one of the best locations in St Pete, but the food was disappointing. The positive. Good wine selection, we had two bottles, location and service. Food: The Tuna, very plain, not flavorful, no wasabi served and if there was a glaze/sauce, they didn’t add it. This should have been sent back to the kitchen. The scallops, cooked well, it I wasn’t a fan of the purée under the scallops . There were three larger scallops on the plate . Bolognese , very good. Flavorful. Nice bucatini noodles. Salmon: average. Nothing to write about. I’m not sure what’s changed, the chef, owners, but I would not recommend or go back.

    The staff was very nice starting from when we got out of our car! Michael the manager was outside to greet us. Check in was easy for our reservation. The restaurant has a nice dimmed light quiet ambiance with the entire back wall consisting of a wine collection. The waitress made great recommendations. I loved my Scottish salmon and my husband enjoyed pork porterhouse.

    I was so disappointed in dinner at Birch and Vine. The host was rude, the wait staff and kitchen were really slow (it took more than an hour to get our food), the food was just OK, and it was so noisy in the dining room that we had to shout to be heard. Considering the high prices for the food and wine, it wasn’t worth it and I won’t be going back.

    Steak had no flavor. Server charged us a corking fee for a bad bottle of wine we didn’t even drink. Was so excited to finally go there and was so disappointing!!!!

    Camile was our server, she was excellent and very helpful. The food is always spectacular. We had filet mignon and brussel sprouts. Both were done perfectly, and were delicious. We were given a small tasting of eggplant and bacon which was amazing. Old Fashioned was wonderful. Pinot Noire and Cab were perfect pairings. Great atmosphere.

    What a wonderful evening. we were surprised to be seated in a private room due to the fact that three of us (out of six) were celebrating the same birthdate/year. couldn't have been a better seating. Tara at front desk couldn't have been more pleasant in ensuring our comfort and Jarad our server was outstanding in all categories. the food was devine and delicious. the wine and cocktails superb. we will return. A+ all around. and we appreciated having a quiet area to dine, although it appears that this fine dining establishment ensures comfort for all dining guests.

    We chose to sit outside. We were the only people outside till half way through dinner. The weather was great, the outdoor fans kept a breeze blowing. I'm so happy that most people want to be cool inside so we had our private dining area outside!!! Our server Devin (I believe was his name) was so attentive, professional & informative. We loved his high standard of service! The lamb was superb. And the presentation was gorgeous. Thanks for a great evening. We will definitely be back!!!

    We had heard good things about the B&V and so on our first visit to St.Petersburg we looked forward to dining. Our waitress was very nice and the restaurant is very well appointed and inviting. Unfortunately our dinners were not good. Especially the salmon dish with a horseradish topping. Basically the fish was flavorless and dry as were the vegetables underneath. We complained and they gave us some horseradish to help the flavor. We should have simply returned the dish immediately but that's not our style so we finished our dinner. We did complain to the manager and she didn't really give us any satisfaction with her answer or even a simple gesture to make us feel heard. We were very nice about it and our waitress was very nice. However on reflecting the experience we were very disappointed and would not return. Also, my dish which was the rack of lamb was really not very good either. It was fatty, had no distinctive flavor, and I ended up with a digestive problem that night. I guess to summarize, it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

    I unfortunately can not give Birch and Vine an outstanding review. The first young lady we encountered at the hostess podium seemed irritated that we had arrived early and let her know we would be talking a walk and would be back. Once we were seated we were not greeted until we called another staff member over to our table to enquire about our server. The food was disappointing. The meatloaf was not not flavorful, the chicken was fatty, but the coconut rice was good. The best part of the charcuterie board was the chocolate. Overall a disappointing experience

    Kudos to the chef and wait staff. The food presentation, selection and flavors are superb. So good that. we dined two nights in a row. Staff are fun and competent. Birch and Vine is a hidden gem.

    Strange soft mushy green tinted (not wasabi) rice accompanies several meal options. Otherwise very pleasant experience. Service was exceptional. If you have time, roof top bar setting was a plus
