BBQ & Lobstershack. We're a local institution, with an international following, this powerhouse of a restaurant is set over 2 huge floors in Covent Garden boasting a 9m wow factor bar on the ground floor & a more intimate speak-easy style shelter bar on the lower deck.

We proudly offer a large slice of easy going living, inspired by the Gulf Coast, with live bands 7 nights week, a friendly welcoming atmosphere, fresh cocktails, ice cold beers and generous portions of
good old home-style cooking offering Home-Smoked BBQ & Fresh East Coast Lobsters.

Fast forward to today and we continue to uphold those time-honoured traditions; social occasions of the bygone age, friends getting together over great fresh food, plentiful drinks and music - these never go out of fashion.

    Stumbled across this online so wasn’t sure what to expect. Food was just what my partner loves. The evening was fabulous. Good starters and mains, nice drinks. We will definitely recommend to others.

    Table was booked online so we wasn’t a walk in. We kept being told two minutes two minutes and it turned into 40 minutes. We ordered ribs and lobster however we wasn’t given anything to get the meat out of the lobster until we finally caught a waiter at another table. But to be honest it was hardly worth the wait. Hardly any lobster. Food was Luke warm. It was far too busy to get anyone’s attention. Being seated near enough in a corner I feel we were forgotten about !

    I would describe our trip as just average. The venue was very lively and bustling but with an upbeat atmosphere. We had the brunch and found the drinks choices to be very limited with only one cocktail being available so if you didn't like that you were stuck. They also have a silly rule that means when on the brunch package of "umlimited" drinks you have to stick with the same drink throughout. For example I chose a "house" lager as that was the only lager inc. It was lousy so certainly didn't want another yet I couldn't swap to another drink on the imlimited menu The food was just ok. I had steak and lobster with the steak being 3-4oz at best and chewy and the lobster had clearly been a diet as there was so little meat!! In fairness another member of the group had a lobster and there's was great. 2 guests had the unlimited bbq which again they said was OK but when it came to asking for more pulled pork on the unlimited offer they had to ask 3 times and wait 30mins for it to arrive after which time the rest of the party had finished their meals. Service started well but it was very obvious once your initial order was taken you were neglected and service deliberately slow. We can oy assume this is to minimise the nu.ber of drinks they have to provide in the 2 hr window. In summary - would we recommend? Not really. Was it awful? Just average. Would we go back? No - there is far better available for the money

    Went to big easy for the 2nd time as we really enjoyed the 1st time we went. I must say this second time was a let down. The food we ordered which was the big bbq plate was different to the 1st time we had this. When we was here the first time we all got our own individual plates with all the items on. This time we had 4 lots chucked onto one plate so we all had to share which is not good when you like your own plate. Also the portion size was a lot smaller when you have it all on one plate. Some of the food was Luke warm. Overall not the best experience this time

    We visit twice a year for group meals. This visit it was not made clear that there is now a 22.2% service charge. This was over £40 for our group of four people. This needs to be made very clear to your customers especially now have to pay using the QR code on table. Very disappointing!

    Always love the food and drink in this joint, sadly service has been a bit thin on the ground, had to wait for long time and not easy to order. Also, came for birthday but no compliment from the restaurant, last time I went for special occasion it was much nice.

    I had booked the restaurant for 6pm and arrived at 5.55pm and the lady at desk said it will be a couple of minutes and we could wait by the bar or the sofa’s. No problem so far as we were a little early anyway, so we waited by the sofa’s . The restaurant was not very busy and there were tables available at the time . We waited patiently until 6.15pm and no one came over to us even though other customers were coming in and were getting seated. So I then approached the lady at the desk again and she said that she had high tables available if that was ok and I said yes no problem but it will be a couple of minutes. Another 10 minutes go by so I said is the table available now and she said yes. Now the table she took us to I noticed was already empty when we 1st arrived. I think training is needed on the front desk or more staff needed. The staff were polite, the food was good but still took time to take our order about 10 minutes after finally sitting down.
