Appallingly rude and incompetent service- lukewarm food. Avoid like the plague.
I have orderded starters and mains together, we have got separate, burger order without chips, we have got withs chips and separate salads, plus 2 pounds
We were on Canary Wharf for business and dined at the restaurant. It was lovely.
One of the worst meals I ever had. The quality of the food was questionable at best, while the prices weren’t representative of what you were getting. I would honestly suggest getting frozen lobster or wings from your corner shop instead of wasting your money there. Having said that, service was fast and polite.
Food is always great, as is the location. Whilst times are difficult and outdoor seating is only allowed, more effort could have been made woth heaters and lightening outside.
I think they were having problems with the reopening. I’ve seen tables around us sending food back. Our food was below average, we ordered the deluxe BBQ and it was all pork and a bit of chicken, all very greasy and heavy and not warm enough. The coleslaw was bad and the muffins way too sweet. We enjoyed the starter - voodoo shrimps, and the cocktails. The beer was flat.
It’s a shame, the food used to be very good before the pandemic, clearly staff has changed. A bit gutted to have paid over £100 for such mediocre/poor food, but at least our waitress was lovely, the place is very nice, we had a nice sunny spot on the terrace and we enjoyed the view. We didn’t want to add to to numerous complaints the waitresses had to deal with on that night so we just paid for our food and we won’t be back anytime soon.
Glad to have Big Easy back! But disappointed to pay £140+ for overcooked kids burgers and ribs so dry you can use them for hammering! Perhaps early days since re-opening but we know they can do better. Staff was friendly as always and the outside seating was perfect.
We love Big Easy so we are regular customers. It's usually quite good but this time it was amazing. The waiter who's name is George is amazing!
Delicious starters but mains cold and prosecco was flat. Service was friendly but slow and lazy
The big pig brunch food wasn’t great.
Great food and endless drinks. Great value for a Sunday Brunch.
Went as a group of 5 to the big easy for brunch. Had an amazing time! Thanks for the great food and service. Especially to Davide who looked after us so well and the host who secured us an amazing table with lovely views.
Really good food and restaurant. But felt a bit rushed out of the establishment where plates were taken off the table with food on them after only sitting down for about 1 hour. When you spend £80 on a lunch you'd expect to not be rushed out.
Great experience, the bottomless brunch is so worth it! Their frozen slushy mojitos are to die for.
Opted for the unlimited bbq and prosecco brunch...The food was the best we have had to date and kept coming until we were all totally stuffed. ...The prosecco too was replenished within moments of asking.....The service was outstanding......Thanks all, but especially Davida and Ivana for making our Sunday brunch such a good one....
Hope that they keep up those standards...
Food was great, service was great, everyone was very accommodating and lovely. 😊
Slow service (I think mainly due to the layout of all tables spread around the outside)
Great food, great service, great music - great place!
Booked here for the vibe and atmosphere but unfortunately was seated in a place where I don’t think there are normally tables - Freezing cold and couldn’t hear the music. We were willing to wait for something else to come up but were told the only other option was separate tables even though there were only 5 of us.
I booked for a 30th celebration which I put on the booking that I made around 6 weeks in advance. Particularly frustrating as we were really looking forward to it and left another bar on west India quay where we had a lovely table and great service.
Food was average, it is reasonably priced and the service was quick but to be honest, I would have just preferred to get the food to takeaway and have eaten elsewhere.
Think this place is very hit or miss depending on the time you go and where you get seated.
Overall I wish they had taken less bookings to ensure everyone gets a good experience. Both parties lost in this situation as I will be hesitant to ever go back.
Everything but the food was good, on this occasion
The quality of the food was poor
Third time coming to Big Easy and noticed a change in service. Had to ask multiple times for drinks, food, missing cutlery and the bill. After waiting for over 25 minutes for the bill to arrive we had to go out and pay up front.
Food still good, hopefully just reopening teething errors.
Was a lovely day to eat outside. Food was good and Prosecco plentiful! Fab
Overall we had a nice time - the service was inconsistent. Lots of waiters/waitresses around however any request (eg for another drink, sauces etc) got lost for about 10/15 mins and sometimes we had to ask again. We had fun though - boozy brunch on the terrace in the sunshine :)
Excellent service levels in my opinion. Good as it gets. Vibrant atmosphere! Fun and enjoyable.
Food wasn’t great but bottomless brunch drinks were good. They left the bottle and jug of frozen mojito so was great. Romona was wonderful and Yasmin. Would do brunch again.
Great experience with el fresco dining. Food and staff were great, highly recommend!
Lobster was a bit bland , service could be a bit better with me having to constantly make awkward eye contact. Ribs could be seasoned a bit more with some sort of BBQ sauce.
Unfortunately it was cold being outside
But the food was good and the service was also good
Definitely look forward to going back
After May 17
Opening back up after lockdown, you would have expected Big Easy to have had time to organise some outdoor heating but not a heater in sight.
The young lady that served us did her best but was having to fight off the attention of a group of lads who were intent on getting as drunk, loud and obnoxious as possible. Not the sort of environment for a family meal out.
The food was average at best and not helped by the fact that it didn’t keep warm for long.
I had the platter and the meat was fatty and greasy.
Certainly not worth the £210 including a service charge for poor service.
Why do these places cram you on a tiny table and then serve your food on massive trays. It cramped, uncomfortable and cold.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Didn’t get our orders taken and when we finally did, they admitted they hadn’t put the order through. Waited 45 minutes for drinks (which were wrong when they arrived) and even longer for food. When trying to complain, staff ignored us. I asked to take the service charge off the bill and they still charged us.
Bad service, food wasn’t as good as the last time I visited, had to claim money back.
The servers forgot our food and had us waiting for an hour and a half. Thankfully we were served for free to compensate for the long wait.
There could be a few more options for those with allergies
Not the greatest experience and service was very poor.
Excellent service and the food was delicious!!
Great food, shame no live music, but given the circumstances not a problem, but would like to come back when this can happen. Would have liked to have sat at the front of the building, but not a major thing.
They have increased their prices, massive due to the pandemic but the quality of food had really gone down.not as it use to be.
Cold, very poor sevice!
Great to be back out eating again and great first experience after lockdown. Recommend Thursday steak, lobster and half a bottle of wine x
The staff are very friendly but unfortunately the restaurant seems to be understaffed and service is very slow. The ribs were very good but got cold very quickly as there is no heating when sitting outside. Two of the prawns I had weren't fresh.
Nice atmosphere and food was nice. Not enough heaters in the outdoor area though and the service was shocking. Staff were frustrated, confused and inattentive - usually a sign of poor resources and management rather than the frontline staffs fault though. We paid the service charge out of obligation but really it was a bit disappointing to be put in a position where we felt like a burden, refusing food we hadn’t ordered, asking to be refunded an overcharge etc.
Fine overall but I certainly would recommend to anyone coming for an occasion like we were.
