Childhood friends Alessandro Ercoli, Gianpietro Silardi, and Lino Savoia opened this typical Italian restaurant back in 1990. Continuing the adventure now with Alessandro are Riccardo Menichetti from Tuscany, a long-time friend with a strong passion for food and cooking, and Teri Ercoli (Alex's wife). Caffe’ Delfini has become synonymous with romance. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that transports you to the cobblestone streets of Rome, and soft music fills the air, adding to the intimate ambiance that permeates the restaurant. The menu is a culinary journey through Italy with dishes that are prepared using only the freshest and finest ingredients. I have been dining here since they opened 35 years ago, and it continues to be one of my favorite “go to” spots. The owners and staff are all terrific and the food is consistently excellent and delicious. And the ambience is lovely—nice lighting and not too noisy. Everyone I have taken there has become a fan as well.

We love this little place. But this weekend we arrived early to have a drink at the bar before our dining reservation. A table was available immediately. However I felt we got hounded to order every couple of minutes which chilled our pre-dinner cocktail plan. Theres a fine line between conscientious service and annoying especially when our cocktail plan was not intended to interfere with their dinner reservations. It wont stop us from enjoying this place. It was a minor annoyance.
