Locanda Veneta is always AMAZING! Cozze Vongole is exquisite. I am desperate for the recipe. Branzino and Carbonara are the best you can find anywhere. If you are lucky enough to score their pear tart - indulge Massimo makes the whole experience enjoyable. If you have not been there GO!!! 😊🍐

Juan was hands-down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. His energy was warm, his timing was perfect, and he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Juan deserves to be Employee of the Month for his incredible service, professionalism, and positive attitude. He made our experience memorable, and we’ll definitely be back because of him!

This was our long-awaited second visit to this amazing restaurant and again, it did not disappoint! Outstanding pastas, highly recommend the tagliatelle al ragù. Was nice to see our hostess Monia again, she is so attentive and friendly. Loved it from the appetizer to the tiramisu (which is not to be missed), to the service and the vibe. See you soon, N10!

This was my first visit. Quite the discovery! It's small, unfussy, but still very charming. Servers were pleasant, the prices were modest, and the food was SPECTACULAR -- at least it was on this, my first go! I fully intend to return to see how the other menu items stack up. The asparagus radicchio salad I had was chopped, which was not what I had expected, but absolutely delicious with its balsamic glaze and shaved parmesan. My second course was the mushroom and truffle ravioli with sage butter sauce. Heavenly!!! It may take me a while to get through the rest of the menu, surprisingly extensive for such a small place, but I'm a trooper like that ;-)

About the restaurant
If you know LA dining, you know Cesare Vietina. And if you miss the old school restaurant magic, you’ll find it here—tucked into Beverly Grove under the name Cesare Ristorante.
This is the kind of spot that doesn’t need to shout to stand out. The menu is tight, focused, and full of soul. You’re here for Nonna Tina’s meatballs, housemade pastas like ravioli in salsa rosa, and mains that hit like home—risotto ai porcini, veal Milanese, grilled branzino.
The room? Intimate. Low lighting, soft conversation, no pretense. You will catch Cesare himself greeting tables. The staff knows the regulars by name and the regulars order off memory.
It’s a place you go to feel taken care of. Whether you’re celebrating something big or just need a great glass of wine and a proper plate of pasta midweek, Cesare Ristorante is that place.
Book a table. Come hungry. Leave happy. Then come back—because this is the kind of place that turns first-timers into lifers.

We really enjoyed our evening at Cesare’s ristorante. From the service to the food to the atmosphere—it’s perfection. Still dreaming about the pea and prosciutto pasta & veal Milanese. The eggplant Parmesan was fantastic. We could go on and on. We will definitely be eating here again!
