Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. Executive Chef Tom French uses high quality ingredients sourced from the Shenandoah Valley to create a seasonal menu highlighting our local products . Creative dishes well-executed using local and select ingredients, very attentive service, great beverage choices including house-made hazelnut liqueur. Golden tilefish over Parisian gnocchi and broccoli, strawberry peppercorn cheesecake. One of the best reasons to go out, to eat dishes you would not make yourself. Continues to be the best restaurant in the valley.

This was our third time over the last couple of years coming to the restaurant. He didn't seem to have the edge we felt from a few years ago. Green got a salad way too tart and quite unpleasant and clash with the rosé it was served with. Soup was delicious, but overly sweet. Duck was very nice. Steak was overcooked for me but very nicely done for my guest. The menu said Claret, but we were served a Merlot . We ended up having both and actually the Merlot was the better choice. So again, a few misses I took this from a five star to a four star for us

I had a wonderful experience dining at Byrd and Baldwin. Our server, Aaron, was attentive and informative. He was kind enough to take a picture of my father and me as I was celebrating Father’s Day with him! Everything was outstanding, from the hors d’oeuvres to the filet mignon!

My wife and I had dinner at the Chop House for our 45th anniversary. We have been there before, and the service and ambiance are wonderful. We started with Old Fashioned cocktails, and they were well prepared. For dinner, my wife had their signature rib-eye and I had the smoked strip steak. Both were well prepared and delicious. Our side of broccolini was wonderful, sautéed in the brown butter. The Chop House is pricey but the food and service are great. Highly recommend.
