Avanti, a Valley tradition since 1974. . . Dramatic, crisp black and white interiors, candlelight and a quiet atmosphere. Vegetarians and Seafood lovers will be awed by the selections of homemade pasta from deliciously light Gnocchi Alfredo, Eggplant and Meat Lasagna, to seasonal hand crafted Ravioli. Fresh Fish and seafood dishes vary- from a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail to an Italian crafted Cioppino. Avanti has also garnered numerous awards and accolades for our Ossobucco, said to be the best in town as well as robust steaks and chops (lamb and pork).Enjoy dessert and Cappuccino in the piano bar sweets that are carefully guarded family recipes include, Tiramisu, Cannoli, Creme Brulee with a crunchy burnt sugar crust but if your passionate about chocolate the chocolate mousse is infused with rum and whipped so fluffy and light you'll swear it's heaven sent!

Wow! What a fantastic dining experience! The food was fresh, homemade, and exquisite. The service was superior - very personalized; Arturo and Sergio are superior human beings. Parking was easy. Overall , A+!

Lobster ravioli in sage/brown butter was amazing, as was the Bolognese Ragu. My previous visit included the Spaghetti Neri, it's another amazing dish.

We had a large party with children and placed upstairs away from the dining room. While not as beautiful, it was perfect for our group. The waiter ran up and down and was so attentive.

Tratto is headed by Chris Bianco who is a James Beard award-winning chef. Reservations are highly recommended as the seating fills fast. Parties over six are required to have reservations. Walk-ins are always available at the bar top on a first come first served basis. The menu is small but well thought out and balanced. Try the Farinata, which is a thin savory chickpea crepe. Fill up on a pan seared double-cut pork chop or the grilled two wash ranch piccolo chicken. Tratto has a small wine list heavily focused on Italian reds and whites that will perfectly compliment the cuisine. Cocktails and draft beers are also available.

We had family visiting from out of state and we chose North Italia for dinner. We’ve dined at North previously, over at the Peoria location, and as usual, the service and food was exceptional!
