Mr. Baan’s Bar and Mookata is a place to gather and share unique cocktails, wine, and spirits while feasting on charcoal grilled Thai barbecue.

Mookata translates is “cook it yourself” barbecuing experience. It consists of a domed grill surrounded by a moat of broth, which is enriched by the drippings of the meat. A mookata set comes with various marinated meats, vegetables, eggs, and dippings sauces. Come enjoy Mookata on Mr. Baan's patio which has misters when it's hot or heaters when it's col.

Mr. Baan's is run by Yotaka and Alex Martin.

What a neighborhood gem ! Not a better place for fresh and interesting salads, creative and tasty thin crust pizza. Service is always friendly and pleasant, ambience low-key but vibrant. If you haven’t been, go !

The service was second to none, and the cocktails were incredible. The best thing is that you don't kicked out after 90 minutes like most other cocktail bars in the Phoenix area. Not sure why that's a thing here.

Excellent 1st experience. Food was great: appetizer of bacon wrapped dates was amazing, entree of Osso Buco was great, and chocolate bread pudding was also great. Party of 5 all agreed it was a great dining experience. Highly recommend! 😀👍

PLEASE visit this Latino family owned restaurant!! The tapas were outstanding, the wine was delicious, the ambiance was warm, and intimate, and the service was not only outstanding, but friendly and personal. 20/10 would recommend!
