Marché is situated in the quaint town of Ross in the heart of beautiful Marin County. We are named for the farmer's markets of southern France where chefs and restauranteurs visit seeking inspiration and ingredients for the meals they will serve each day. We are a French/Italian inspired, California contemporary farm-to-fork restaurant and feature produce, meat and seafood from local purveyors to help us create our delicious seasonal dishes. We have a diverse wine and beer selection sourced from local and international small production wineries to accompany your meal.

Dining is available inside the cozy dining room and on our charming open-air patio.

It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon. I have been going to the Lighthouse every Wednesday evening for the last three years. Last night it was a balmy summer evening, and the windows were open, and the sliding glass doors were open, which made for a magnificent atmosphere. The views are gorgeous of the old water, the sea birds and the mansions. Our host Kenneth did a wonderful job helping us with our event. We were very grateful for all his kindness and special touches as always, our waitress Sara and her bus boy Luis were wonderful, attentive, and as sweet as pie.

As always there is no better restaurant in West Marin insofar as service goes. The food if good. The prices are reasonable for restaurants in West Marin. The setting is welcoming. The usual crowd is friendly.

I came with my spouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, meat was cooked to perfection, chicken Parmesan was saucy. We ordered an affogato, it was delicious but I wish they had served the gelato ice cream and espresso shot separately. This would have given me the option to control how rapidly the ice cream melted. By the time it reached the table it had more of liquid texture, there was no need for the spoons as we were sipping the affogato. A thick straw would have been a more appropriate utensil choice. We also had a pistachio Crème Brûlée, it was delicious although topping the whole top with whipped cream was a bit of overkill. I feel like a small dab while still showing the caramelized sugar would have been better presentation. The cream on top looked like it could have been a scoop of gelato but with a disappointing taste of whipped cream.

We were touring my sister in San Francisco visiting the Golden Gate Bridge today. We drove to Sausalito. We had plan to eat somewhere else but my husband saw The Trident restaurant remembering our previous lunches here. Quickly I made a reservation from Open Table for 3 and made it at 12:15 pm. We got sat down by the window. Our server Gabriella was pleasant. We just ordered the Arnold Palmer, Sprite and Lemonade for drinks. My sister & I got the Captain’s Platter to share and my hubby had his favorite Fish & Chips. The ambiance was beautiful as always. The casual food was good. The crème brûlée dessert was not sweet. The server said they make it in house. The balance of sweetness contributed to a more enjoyable and complex taste experience. We saw the ferry boat passing by. The other male server who was helping us was nice as well. Then around 12:45 pm, a large group of customers arrived. Good thing we ordered our lunch already! Overall I don’t mind returning to The Trident for casual dining.
