Seasonal Local American Cuisine. We use many local products from local farmers. We are located about a mile west of the University of Virginia campus. Historic old home turned into a restaurant. Three small intimate dining rooms upstairs, one on the ground floor and a large weather protected patio. In the winter the Patio is heated. Family owned since 1995. Special diet needs met upon request.

Dinner is served in our mezzanine, bistro and upstairs dining rooms, Tuesday through Saturday.
Reservations are for dinner only, please. Bar seats operate on a first come, first serve basis, and cannot be reserved.
We cannot accommodate parties larger than 10. Due to the layout of our restaurant, we are unable to accommodate pets on our patio.

As is always the case, food was great. Peach serano ham appetizer was perfect balance between sweet and salty. The duck special perfectly cooked and tender. Slavisha was his outstanding self. Dessert- shared three and all were great.

An incredible expereince centered around fantastically crafted food and impeccable service. Easily falls within the top 10 of places to dine in the Charlottesville area. The attention to detail and the intimacy provided is unmatched anywhere else I have dined since living in Charlottesville. The setting is also remarkable, surrounded by the unique beauty of central virginia. I am looking forward to bringing my family in the future. Wonderful place for a celebration meal. We dined in the library which is very nice! Our waiter, Ethan, was one of the best we've ever had. Just the right amount of attention, spoke clearly with enthasiasm, and was knowledgeable. We even had an extra surprise from the chef! Delightful food and overall experience!

Great food, Great resutruant week menu, great waitress but very slow service with food and drinks coming out (bar/kitchen, not server). Beautiful spot and ate outside and got to enjoy the downtown mall homeless folk talking to customers and rats hanging around tables - to no fault of the store.
