Great dining experience! Service was excellent from the Valet parking to the meal and departure. The concept is transformative for the interns, which adds value to the overall dining experience. The meals we ordered were absolutely delicious. I gave it 4 stars instead of five because no one in the ATL puts pork in the greens. Hopefully they catch up and go with turkey or broth.😊

Basque
West Midtown
About the restaurant
Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts. Behind the bar, Cooks & Soldiers offers guests an extensive collection of Basque and Spanish wines, txakoli and ciders, in addition to craft beer and signature cocktails. The cocktail list places a heavy emphasis on gin, offering a seasonal selection of house-infused tonics blended into gin tonics and other popular libations.

Thai
Virginia Highland
About the restaurant
According to Zagat, This "excellent" local spot where Va-Highlanders meet is known for its "great patio" and "good, reasonably priced sushi and Thai food"; it's a mystery why it's "rarely crowded", but "those who love it" and want to keep it all to themselves "hope it stays that way."

We have dined at Mali many times over the years. Unfortunately, our food last night did not live up to the normal quality. Each of us (party of 6) had the same impression. Very disappointing. I’m sure we will go back in the future (we live in the neighborhood) but won’t continue to go if the food quality doesn’t improve.

Japanese
West Midtown
About the restaurant
Mujō is a one MICHELIN star, intimate, omakase-only tasting menu experience serving modern edomae sushi led by Executive Chef J. Trent Harris. Our menu changes daily and reflects the best seasonal ingredients available, as well as fish flown in directly from Japan. The experience consists of a series of small plates and a progression of seasonal nigiri. We are inspired by the Japanese concept of ichi-go ichi-e, 一期一会, or “one time, one meeting. Our goal is not to recreate the sushiya of Japan, but to offer an experience that represents who and where we are, while respecting and honoring the traditions of edomae sushi. Inspired by the concept of omotenashi, but rooted in southern hospitality.

Customer service was better than any other Michelin starred restaurant I’ve been to. From the moment I walked in, the way the foh treated you felt warm and genuine, not forced and robotic. I knew the food would be stellar, but the hospitality made the experience perfect.

Fusion / Eclectic
Downtown
About the restaurant
We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.
