    David,our server, provided expert daily menu special guidance to set the tone. Started with Oysters Rockefeller and riesling wine. Each of us ordered a different seafood lunch. Finished with a California Pinot Noir and creme brulee.

    This was our first visit. The food was delish and our server Jamal was excellent. He was very personable and patient with us. He anticipated our every move and made wonderful recommendations for us. We look forward to returning when we are in town again.

    Amazing food, decadent deserts, exceptional service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We travel from New York to Virginia at least once a year and Berret’s is always on our “must do” list as a couple. For us it is a little pricey, but so worth it. I recommend leaving children who are picky eaters at home as the menu has unique dishes. It is more of an adult place. Inside is quiet and outside has had live music every time we have been there. Ten out of ten would recommend.

    The table behind us was very noisy with a phone ringing and the guest talking with speaker phone on. It would be nice to tell guests not to use speaker phone in the restaurant. We were seated at a table for two which was very small for us. Felt cramped

    This was the second time this week we dined at Berret’s. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. It was wonderful. The seafood was fabulous and the crab cakes were everything the reviews say the are, scrumptious. The bartender made tantalizing and well crafted cocktails, not shortchanging us on any ingredients if you know what I mean. David was an engaging friendly, professional waiter who was attentive to our every need. We will definitely visit Berret’s in the future.

    Restaurant has an old, painted over feeling. Food was bland and at room temperature. Okay for fresh oysters and the like. Not a place for a special occasion. Nothing compels us to return.
