   From the wonderful smoked salmon and fried green tomato appetizers to our creative seafood main courses, the meal was delightful. Our waitress was helpful and friendly and the ambiance pleasant and cheery. we wished we lived nearby, not 10 hours away!!!

   This was a last minute choice while driving home. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a casual elegance to it. The food was delicious with great attention to the preparation and presentation. We will go back since I saw they have more of my favorites on their menu. A fantastic dining experience.

   Waitress had no personality. The burger was much smaller than last visit. Asked for mayo several times which never came. Ordered tater tots but got fries instead and waited long time for correction. Waitress took plate while I was still eating.

    Berret's is, and always has been, the #1 seafood restaurant in Williamsburg. My wife and I dined there on May 23, and we were both very pleased with our meals -- two different fishes and preparation types. Not only were the meals excellent, they were beautifully plated and appealing to the eye. Crabcakes are also excellent here, usually accompanied by a bit of country ham. Cheese grits are used extensively as accompaniment as well, and go well with most entrees. While prices here have increased a bit over the past several years due to increased costs for ingredients and labor, we have found that Berret's has held the line as best they can, and prices here have increased less than at most other restaurants in greater Williamsburg. In short, you'll find consistently excellent cuisine at Berret's.

    We enjoyed the varied, tasty and reasonably priced lunch menu, and the absolutely wonderful service. Seated in a comfortable booth next to a window, our party of four "locals" ate, talked and agreed that we'll be back!

    Wonderful food, especially the seafood which is outstanding. The daily specials are a great value and offer a nice variety of choices. This restaurant also has Virginia wines on the menu, which earns it extra bonus points with us! Definitely worth going if visiting or traveling through Williamsburg.

    Everything was great. The service as well as the food were great. We love the crab broil and brought our friends because the love crab and they loved it. We also had the carrot cake which was probably the best we’ve ever had.

    She crab soup was fine. Crackers were stale. My wife’s fried green tomato stack was so salty it was inedible. Crab cakes were unremarkable and the shrimp two ways was essentially tasteless. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive and kept the evening from being a disaster.
