This restaurant was recommended by our inn keeper and he did not lie! Very nice with deliciousness food and reservations was a must for Wednesday night. Seafood was fresh and we enjoyed our meals very much! Thanks to Brandon who took care of us and shared ideas on shows we both enjoyed while attending to our needs.

It was a birthday dinner remembering my mother,we happened to get a booth which was perfect. The best restaurant for seafood,unfortunately my husband is not a lover of your rice.Which he avoided last night.

Our waiter was wonderful and the food was as absolutely delicious! Took dessert to go and it was some of the best carrot cake I’ve ever had! We will definitely come back, there were many things on the menu that we would like to try.

We visited Williamsburg over our anniversary and made reservations at Berret's. On the day of our reservation we had finished our touring an hour early and decided to see if they could seat us early. They graciously took care of us and we had a great meal sitting outside listening to live music. My husband raved about the crab cake, I was very happy with the grilled and lightly fried shrimp over mashed potatoes and julienned zucchini and yellow squash. A great place to try if you're in the area.

Seafood was excellent and ambiance was nice in old town area of Williamsburg. The Mussels were incredible. We asked for extra bread so we can dip in the broth when we were done with the mussels.

I chose Berret's based on reviews that I had read online. It was an absolutely amazing meal. We were so fortunate to have the greatest service from Jacob. He truly made our meal extra special. We will definitely eat here again whenever we are back in Williamsburg. Absolutely Perfect!

Amazingly, our waitress remembered me and how I like my drinks from waiting on us 2 weeks ago! We love her! The she crab soup was outstanding, as is all of the food. Next time, fish fry for me. Barretts has become a favorite.

We LOVE Berret's. Their seafood in parchment is always special. This time I tried the grouper and shrimp with cheese grits - yum. And it was wine Wednesday - 1/2 price on all bottles. Excellent service from Jordan!

We have enjoyed dinning at Berret's for the past 35 years and this was one of the best experiences we have had. We were seated in a booth which offered a nice quiet spot to enjoy our meal. Our server, Jordan, was delightful, always paying attention to our needs but never being pushy. The fennel encrusted tuna appetizer was awesome as was the Chowder. The seafood in parchment is a go to dinner entree and did not disappoint this time ! We can't say enough about this local gem of a restaurant.

We enjoyed our meal for the most part. The fish was fresh, but the preparation was only fair. My fish served in served in parchment paper did not look appealing, and some of the pasta was stuck together. It could have been better.

Lovely experience! We kids live in NYC, our parents do not so we were looking for something to please everyone. This hit the spot, in food, service and ambience. traveling with our parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. We called ahead and Barret’s had happy 50th anniversary printed on top of the specials menu, which was above and beyond and made them smile. The restaurant was quiet and cozy and we could really enjoy our conversation. We enjoyed our food, everything was prepared well but we did wish there was more variety in the fish choices. Great cocktails and wine selection. Our server was great, 10 stars!! My mom is recommending it to everyone she meets at the hotel. Thank you Berret’s!

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at Berret’s. It very close to Market Square in Williamsburg and perfect for lunch. My husband loves the Blue Plate special which features She crab soup, fried shrimp, crab cake and Scallops which he was able to substitute for the Oysters Rockefeller. All the staff was great, especially our waiter who could not have been more personable, efficient and all around nice. We try to eat here everytime we come to Williamsburg.

Brianna was a great waitress. Food was amazing. The fried calamari could be a bit crispier but everything was wonderful and made my birthday great! Loved the free mini bottle of champagne too!

Brunch started well with a pitcher of tasty mimosas. The sticky buns were delicious as always. I ordered poached eggs but they came out over cooked and hard. The crab cakes were hard fried. Overall, the meal was good, just not wonderful. We arrived early but were told we would have to wait because they were full (understandable) but when we were taken to our table, there were many open tables. I have to think they do not have enough help. A common problem since Covid.
