They were very accommodating and helpful. We all had a good time
While our entrees were very good, the mojitos were weak. When I mentioned the to the server, all he could say he knew there was rum in the drinks. I sent my mojito back.
While the entries were reasonably priced we were shocked to find the key lime pie was $14 a piece. We were appalled to find the bread was $10 a piece. We were not aware bread was not not free. We certainly would not have have ordered any, and certainly not 2 loaves.
Absolutely delicious!!!
Very nice dinner! Great service , food and view of the ocean.
The best food in all of Southeast Florida! Chef Jeremy is a master!
Our waitress was great. Wish I knew her name. We always love coming to Benny's.
Nice, outdoor casual feel right on the beach. The price a bit high for such a casual experience. The service was excellent, knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. The food was fresh and many seafood options. I got the scallops which were tender but somewhat ordinary as well as the coconut jasmine rice which was also good but not too exciting. The Heathers classic salad with fresh fruit was excellent. The key lime pie was awesome and huge, definitely meant to be split. Overall, a nice experience and family friendly.
Nothing like sitting next to a beach eating fine food served by attentive servers
It was our anniversary dinner, and the food, service, and beautiful ocean background made it perfect. We had a huge clambake with shrimp, snow crab, corn, potatoes and andouille sausage. Delicious! Will be back again.
Food was wonderful accompanied by a marvelous atmosphere. Margy was super.
Excellent service excellent food could use a good cleaning understand they’re right on the ocean a lot of people go in hard to keep clean Plus ocean salty air is dirty
Two big problems:
-The whole snapper was deep fried until it was uneatable.
-The server kept asking if everything was wonderful even though I could not eat my snapper.
I didn't know how to order. I didn't realize that what you called a Lobster Dip was a Lobster roll. I ordered a crab cake which was delicious. Our server suggested I get a side with it. I picked Asian Noodles when I would have rather had spinach. Asian Noodles didn't go at all.
Crab cake was poor. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees.
We've been here a few times. We always love it there & will definitely be back. Great ambiance, live music, great food. We had a very nice server last time we were there, but the service was a little poor on our last visit.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary! Love sitting outside drinking Prosecco and eating fresh fish with my sweet husband
Hands down one of the best meals we have ever had! Worth ever penny!
Terrific place!!
My family of 6 went to Bennys to celebrate a birthday. We have been there numerous times fir many celebrations. Last night was a disaster! From the second we arrived until we left the customer service was horrible. We were seated at a high top table with a big umbrella in the middle that blocked the ability to have a conversation with the person across from you. The umbrella was permanently secured to the table and they would not allow us to open it since they said the wind was blowing.
Our food came out plate by plate and by the time we got the sides to go with our entre, the entrees were cold. The hostess in the front with her fake eyelashes and purple hair was worthless when my husband asked about our food. We all got our meals at a different time as well.
The restrooms were disgusting and you’d think with COVID that they would be mire attentive to the over flowing receptacles. The staffer that were folding napkins were not wearing masks and they were wrapping silverware.
There was no one overseeing the service and even though this is not a classy 5 star dining venue, you do expect good service, clean restrooms, serving etiquette. There was none if that last night!
We might need to find a new place to celebrate!
We love Benny's and have eaten there many times, but on Valentine's Day we had a LONG wait for our food.
Our entrees came out at least 1/2 hour and maybe more after our appetizer was finished. And that took a while.
We ordered the special Valentine's Day cake for dessert. Should have been out in a few minutes. That took more than 1/2 hour as well... for cake. We were thinking of canceling and just paying for our dinner and getting dessert somewhere else.
It was a holiday, but the restaurant didn't seem much more crowded than usual -- we were seated right away and there were plenty of tables at the time. Just really slow service. I don't think it was the server's fault. She was charming and helpful, and the food was great as usual.
My Valentines Dinner was disappointing to say the least. Booked it a few weeks in advance. Having a reservation didn’t seem to matter. Was told to go upstairs and pick any square table. No escort by the multiple people at the desk. Then we order and my partner wasn’t happy with her Lobster Salad as she searched for the 1/4 cup of Lobster hidden in the lettuce. She told the waiter that she was unhappy and he went to management to get it fixed and came back and said the manager basically said too bad. I’ve been in the service industry for years, what manager does this? Can’t even bring his or herself up to deal with it in person? I felt bad for both the waiter and my date. It was just silly. To top it off I get an email from Open Table that says we didn’t show up to our reservation. Horrible!! Next...
This place is better for lunch after a day at the beach. The food is so so. At dinner time it was pretty empty on a Sunday night and the food took 40 minutes. When the food did come the fried clam strips were hard as a rock and very over cooked. The fish fry was good. Pineapple drink was yummy. Nice beach view and staff was very nice. Coed Bathrooms not very clean and toilet paper sitting on a chair.
great atmosphere and food. Adam was a great server.
Valentine’s
Food was good but we waited over 40 minutes for our main dishes. Server said kitchen was backed up.
It was very disconcerting to see the staff constantly taking their masks on and off, only putting them back on when approaching a table. Some were barely wearing what would be considered a face covering.
The bar in the front of the restaurant had music and people were dancing which was a nice thing to see after so many months but again unmasked and too close.
Would like to see more items on the menu for small meal selections.
Great view, great service and fantastically delicious food!
Beautiful experience - great food, dining outside watching the waves coming onshore!
I was expecting paella and wasn’t aware that it was only served on Saturday and Sunday. I really didn’t need to drive an hour to eat dinner
We came here on a babysitting night, and the kids loved it. The food came out quickly, which is always a plus when you're with kids. The menu has something for everyone and the beachfront location feels more celebratory/special. Expect higher prices when you're on prime real estate because folks need to pay higher rent. That said, we didn't think their prices were outrageous for a seafood restaurant. Veronica was our server and she's great and made sure the kids had everything they needed.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food.
It was nice to be outdoors and enjoy good food.
But except that when it was time to pay, the server just add up or pick the tip amount for you another words it very rude to not let the customer pick how much tip to gave you instead of pick one himself.
Food has gone downhill in the last 1 1/2 years. The chef has definitely slacked off.
Love the food and atmosphere at Benny’s! The service was great too.
Service was fair at best. Servers are not educated in dining protocols. Food was mediocre at best.
The paella was superb as was the service. My only complaint was the way we got our check. We were splitting the bill 50/50 , handed a hand held device and told all we had to do was sign. No itemized bill was given nor were we told that a 20% tip had already been added. There was a place to add the tip suggesting a 15, 18 or 20% tip. Not until I asked for an itemized bill did I realize I had already been charged a 20% tip. Had I just gone ahead and signed I would have left ANOTHER 20% tip. The waiter did not complain about having to go back to get the itemized bill and in the end did get a 20% tip. My suggestion - forget the hand held device until after the check is left for examination.
As usual the food amazing. Server Veronica did a good job, especially in keeping her mask on and on properly. Masks seem to be an issue for many of the servers and bus people. One young man actually never put his on. We asked about the mask policy and was told well you know, “this is Florida”. Patrons were actually good with masks. It was too bad, changed the ambiance for us from an outstanding to wanting to get out in a hurry 😥
One of my most favorite restaurants right over the water on the pier. The food and staff are outstanding
From the hostess to our AMAZING SERVER Nicole, the drinks and food. Really was an amazing and much needed date night. The manager Bruce was also amazing. I asked to speak to the chef who made out salmon dish because that dish....... BEST FLIPPING SLAMON IVE EVER HAD.... and that says a lot considering I worked in restaurant and the boyfriend works still in the service industry.
We can’t wait to come back and have another mind blown experience :)
no distancing between tables outside. Our family had to split up because they were too close to the next table. Food was so-so. Being on the ocean is nice but our tale was over the beach. A party of 4 will be over $100 before tips and extras for dinner
