There's a couple there of Asian descent they are habitual abusers of this restaurant. They come 2 or 3 times a week. Why get free food appetizer and drinks make a big scene and then they leave unfortunately? We were stuck seated with them as they ruined our dinner last night on my birthday june fifth

These service people and chefs really know how to put on a show! It really made my daughter’s 18th birthday special! We had a big party and we were all served and entertained the whole time! They even let us bring in a birthday cake and helped us sign Happy birthday! They took a picture of our whole group and provided a copy! Wonderful experience!

We arrived an hour earlier and they accommodated us immediately. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the spectacular service. Everything was wonderful and we will be back there in the future.

Very disappointed was expecting so much more. NO YUM YUM SAUCE. What Japanese steakhouse doesn’t have YUM YUM sauce. Service super slow. I got my sushi after the rest of my party got theirs and finished eating it. We assumed they forgot mine , nope right when dinner was to be served my sushi showed up. $400.00 dollar dinner and we should have gone some place else. Won’t recommend to anyone. Go to Jurin in south Elgin blows this place away.

Ordered a Filet mignon well done. They did not ask but butterflied it and it was over cooked. Extremely dry and didn't taste good. Very disappointing for the price.

Food was Amazing, service was Amazing but the drink prices were a little steep. Almost as bad as going to the city for a few drinks. I don’t mind paying high prices for food and service, that’s what it’s all about for a night on the town. BUT when you can buy a bottle of liquor for almost the price of just one drink, that is extreme! I would recommend anyone to this place to eat but drink first and after elsewhere, save the money.

The service was slow, bathrooms were absolutely filthy and food was mediocre at best and very salty. Dinner for two children and an adult was $166 without alcohol, and I won’t be going back.

The ambience and decor is nice. The food was mediocre this time and at first they forgot the rice and the sauce to go with our main entrees. They overcooked my seafood medley (lobster, shrimps & scallops were rubbery). We decided to seat by the sushi counter, and we realized our waiter was busy helping out at the hibachi stations so he wasn't able to check in on us as often. Overall, it was alright.

The food was outstanding, as always. Our chef was extremely nice & funny & cooked everything to perfection. He also did some new tricks that I've never seen others do. We've been coming there for years & years & the chef was unique. Definitely a keeper.

There was no table for us when we arrived. We were told to wait a few minutes but after almost 15 minutes hostess after we asked advised there was actually no table available and to wait until next customers leave. We opted for the sushi station instead of leaving as we were very hungry. Also it was our 24th wedding anniversary so it was a bit disappointing that we didn’t get our big dinner.

I have been to Benihana numerous times and my experience has been good expect for the most recent. I went with a group of friends and we are young so they tried taking advantage of us thinking we were naive. In my case my total came to 56.75 and I gave 60 in cash. The waiter told me they didn’t have change so I had to give my full 60 after already paying 18% tip. What restaurant doesn’t have change…

We had a great time with our work peers celebrating a birthday with a big crowd (8 total). Our table was ready on time and food was cooked perfectly and on time. Replenishment of drinks were good and fast as well. Excellent!

This was the first time going as a family of 4, and the first time for both of my kids (10 & 6). They had a blast. Staff was very attentive to them and made them feel extreamly welcomed. Kids wanted to go back again the next day. Food was perfectly cooked and season, even for someone like myself who isn’t big on seafood.
