    As much as I dislike leaving this review I find it very necessary. We were a party of 10 with a reservation booked weeks in advance. We were subjected to wait 30 mins before getting seated. The table service was slow and the grill was not turned on upon being seated which in turn when the chef came to prepare our meals we yet again waited an additional 15 mins. Soup was served before our drinks arrived. The food was a bit overcooked and dry. The orders were somewhat mixed up. And the pricing is atrociously high! Don’t mind paying a high price for good service and tasty food but Benihana’s offered neither.

    We went during lunch time. I think it was better. Not as crowded. It was so good. Our chef did an amazing job cooking our meal. Everything was so delicious. Our waitress was spot on. We will be back.

    As always our birthday dinner was perfect. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Our chef did a great job entertaining us and cooking us a very yummy meal. We will definitely be back

    Our experience was awesome all because of the chef Luis. He is great and I love his energy and his food comes out GREAT AND DELICIOUS! Our server was very slow and he was not that attentive to what we needed it took more than 15 minutes to get our soup and another 15 for our salads. Refills were not refilled as fast and it was very disappointing service. I would have graded it lower but Luisa’s it so special and awesome! Thank you Luis for the awesome energy and for being more attentive to us than our waiter. ❤️

    I understand this is a busy place. But the sheer fact that my son got poked with a badly maintained chair that had a nail poking through is insane. Like how does that get passed up, to me it means their not wiping down the chairs to notice or care. The food and the guys that cook aren't the problem. It's the service you get from all the other employees. It seems like service is lacking, as the floor was not kept as I walked to the back room I noticed trash on the floors not being picked up. I went through the same pathway 3 times to see within the almost 3hrs I was therev to see if it was picked up. And it wasn't and that's disturbing. Sanitation needs to be maintained in all areas of a restaurant. Do better

    I love Benihana. We went around 7:00 pm, it was busy but not over the top. We were sat fairly quickly but it took almost an hour for the chef to come out and start cooking. He was really great once he came out and very accommodating with my shellfish allergy. We’ll for sure be back!!

    DONT EVER GO TO BENIHANA IN MISSION VALLEY THEY HAVE POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE WE ARRIVED AT 7:45 FOR RESERVATION AT 8:00 WAS SEATED AT 8:45 AND NEVER ATE CAUSE AT 9:45 WE GOT UP AND LEFT!!! FOUND A BUG (termite) ON OUR PLATE, THE GRILL WAS STILL DIRTY WITH RICE ON IT FROM THE PRIOR GUEST🤬ALL BAD THEY WOULD GIVE THE MANAGERS NAME, NO CARD TO THE CORPORATE OFFICES AND SHE CALLED THEIR SECURITY GUARD ON ME AND HE CALLED THE POLICE ON ME😡🤯🥵

    We made a reservation for 7:30pm and weren’t seated until 8:20pm. The sweet waitress took our order but the chef didn’t come to our table to begin grilling until 8:45. Finished eating after 10pm. Spent so much time just waiting and waiting.
