    Everything went well except for the wait time. Waiting over 45 min to get seated. Another 30 for the chef. We were informed they were short staffed after the fact, however it was an amazing experience. Our chef Chris M. was a delight!

    I had a reservation at 7:15PM, I’m not one to complain and I’m fine with waiting a little bit of time but I didn’t start eating food until 9PM. They compensated us with some average shrimp tempura but at that point we should’ve left. Only reason we didn’t is because they had already taken my $30 birthday voucher so I couldn’t get that back otherwise I would’ve went to the Benihana in Carlsbad. Apparently there was a party that was waiting 2+ hours just to eat (not including waiting to get seated) and they eventually ended up leaving. Overall, if you want Benihana then I’d go the extra distance and eat at the Carlsbad location, it might be a further drive but you’d probably finish your dinner and be back at home before you’d get your food served to you at this location.

    A long 3 hour experience!!! Definitely a shortage of chefs for 26 Teppan Yaki cooktops. We asked for an explanation from a manager. An assistant woman manager came to our table condescendingly saying they had a full house & we just needed to be patient. She refused to give us any discount on our meal or consideration for the inconvenience. Luckily after waiting 2 hours seated at our table, we finally got Chef Jesse who entertained us hysterically & prepared a delicious meal.

    We had an amazing dinner. We were one of the last groups there however, we didn’t feel rushed. Chef Luis was AMAZING, my nieces and nephew were all excited and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you Chef Luis and thanks to the waitress as well for making our dinner special, we left with an amazing experience.

    Whole experience was bad but the bartenders were the only thing saving my experience there. Food wasn’t coming out as it should.

    We visit Benhihana quite frequently, and I have never seen such disorganization when it comes to reservations and seating. Our reservation was for 8:45, and we did not get seated until 9:30. At 10:20, our orders were finally taken, and we waited about 30 minutes for the cook to arrive. Our cook was great, but by the end of our dining experience it was 11:45.

    We had a reservation for 7:30 and were told it would be at least an additional half hour wait. Once we were seated, the host told us they didn’t have a high chair for my 1.5 year old, that they were all taken, and I would need to use a booster seat, which she cannot use. I told her that I put in the notes we needed a high chair. She told me there was nothing she could do, so I went back up to the front and said my daughter needed a high chair and asked for the manager. They found one for her to use relatively quickly, within a minute or so. The appetizer took over 30 min to come out, and our drinks took 20 min after ordering. It took an additional 45 min to get a cook. It was Father’s Day which is a busy holiday, but they should be able to handle their reservations. They also got our order wrong, and the chef was short an entire kids meal and needed to go to the back to get more food halfway through cooking. Although the meal was tasty, it wasn’t a great experience, unfortunately.

    Benihana is always a fun spot for special occasions! We've been coming here for years, every year on Father's Day. This time they were especially busy and although we had a reservation, we still had to wait 30mins for a table. They were running behind. Our chef was fun and engaging and the food was good as usual. They were so busy that they didn't offer dessert (usually comes with ice cream) this time but seemed like they were trying to turn the table as quick as possible. Otherwise, all good. Very pricey but its just once a year.
