    Our family is used to dining at Benihana for special occasions a few years ago we had a rough experience and vowed not to go back, but one of the family members wanted to go back for their birthday so we did it last night nine of us now we have all vowed all nine of us. We will never return to a Benihana Service was lousy. The value was lousy the cook forgot some of the meals and the overall ambience is dry and dull so we are finished with Benihana.

    Our chef seemed to be annoyed and felt like they didn't want to be there. Only did 2 tricks but was annoyed to do them.

    My mistake but adter dinner I was handed a machine and was told if you want to add tip do it here. I did so rather generously while the server hovered. Not until I left the restaurant did I see signs that indicated they automatically add a service charge. I checked the bill and in fact they did add a service charge to which I added to. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager. Was “transferred” to someone who said they would have a manager call me back. That has not happened. I am not asking for a refund as ultimately it was my mistake. But the process was misleading and should be changed.

    The experience this time was poor, I have to remind the server regarding the salad. And the bill was given before we were offered the ice cream, I had to remind her about the free ice cream, it’s not worth 20% of the service charge

    We had a great time together was a little surprised that they only offered the dinner menu for lunchtime! We elected bar area seating to avoid the automatic tip they like to put on your bill for sitting at the hibachi tables I still tipped 18% because she did a great job but I don’t like to be forced to pay 20% when you don’t know if service was going to be good or not. Anywho I do love the food but can only dine here on special occasions due to what I think are high prices.

    Food was solid. Had to remind multiple times on a food allergy. That's dangerous and undermines the overall good experience.

    Cook jose was wonderful. Everything was cooked very nicely. Waitress Daisy was wonderful as well. She was pleasant, attentive and great personality. I did stop by the front counter to order some gift cards and some salad dressing to go and the lady that was assisting really had a very poor attitude very short with me. She had a skull on her face really seemed like she didn’t wanna be there seem very annoyed that I was getting anything once she was finished with my order. Another lady was behind me to get it to go order and she said from across the room to the lady at the entrance table and the waitress talking to her that one of them needed to come assist this lady because she needed to get out of there and said a very rudely a few times and as I left, I told the lady at the front that this was probably a good thing that she was getting out of there because she had a very poor attitude and she was having a bad day and that it’s probably a good idea that she got out of there so besides that pork experience, everything else is good.
