   Our reservation was at 9:30, but we didn’t get seated until 10:15. We didn’t eat until almost 11. If you’re going to spend $200 on a dinner, it should be great….. but, it wasn’t . The food was decent but you pay for the whole show. The Habachi wasn’t even that great. He rushed it due to being behind. Just a shame

   Food and service were good but the restaurant was filthy. The menus were so dirty the pages stuck together. Hard to be excited when that’s your first impression.

   Food was good and chef was friendly and entertaining. The interior is getting old and looks shabby. Too many customers crammed around tables.

   Soup was horrible and COLD Food had no flavor. Waitress wasn’t attentive to us and the chef had to go get her.

   The table seated next to us was extremely loud and very condescending towards their chef to start. The server was busy so refills didn’t come often; which is understood. The food was very bland and not worth the price I paid.

    Maybe it was just because it was Valentine’s Day but this place wasn’t what I expected at all. First off I made reservations for 10:15 and me being me I got their a hour early because I don’t wanna lose my spot and I didn’t get sat down till 10:45. Now I can understand it takes a while sometimes for tables to open up so being sat at my table at a later time wasn’t the problem. The problem is that, while I was patiently waiting in the bar area it was completely filthy and being that I am waiting for my table, my first impression of this place is that service is careless and filthy not something you want to see when you are waiting for something you ware willing to pay for. When we where finally sat we waited for our cook to be present for a hour. The chef made very good food but he didn’t seem thrilled to even be their or even happy, he looked like he was ready to leave which I don’t blame him it was late but I came for a show not just to eat. Lastly in the end I finally got up to use the restroom and it was filthy as well, very nasty! I don’t normally sit on public toilet in the first place but I was more then scared to even squat.

    Well first off I made it there a few minutes before my check in time so I was told a table would be ready to wait at the bar well in waiting at the bar for over 30 mins I realized hey it’s taking a long time for my table to be ready not only was it taking a long time other guests came straight in and was seated which I didn’t understand seeing that I made reservations so I ask about my table only for them to tell me I wasn’t on the list then they found me on the list only to tell me they had seated other guest before me and that I would have to wait again they would be getting a table ready I was very upset seeing that I had already waited long enough for a table I honestly felt like it had something to do with me being black because all the other guest they put ahead of me where white I had a very bad experience and this was my first time going

    The restaurant was noisy, and not enough room at the tables for the chief, cart, and my seat. The waitress forgot most everyone salad and soup course and didn’t know the fried rice was $7 extra so we paid for 2

    Thank you for another Birthday Celebration we have 5 February birthdays and have celebrated our birthdays for the past 25 years that I can remember maybe more at Downtown Benihana. The service was excellent our server Trevious kept coming by once we were eating to check on us. As did I believe he was the manager. We look forward to the dinner every year

    In case you were looking for an run down, formerly pleasant place to dine - you have found the place. From seats w/pieces of vinyl missing, to sagging ceiling tiles to vent hoods that don't quite work - the restaurant itself doesn't remotely justify the pricing. But hey, for no additional charge (unlike the fried rice), you can smell like dinner for the rest of the evening. Then the food itself, while not bad taste wise, were meager quantities of protein at full prices. I had bacon for breakfast that was thicker than the teriyaki "steak" that was served. The scallops were the size of shrimps. Avoid - better places to spend $60/person w/out alcohol. Just disappointing.

    Benihana is a childhood favorite! Been going to this or a similar place for years. This Benihana did NOT disappoint! The food was fabulous, chef Doan was talented, funny and entertaining. All requests were catered to (including a seafood allergy). All was good. Glad to see a great return to it after covid.

    Service was not that good, some of our food was not brought out until we were ready to leave, dishes didn't get picked up at all, had a reservation and was late getting seated. Overall not worth the price I paid.

    Made a reservation using open table and specified birthday. Staff says they do not get that information from OpenTable. No birthday recognition from Benihana even after providing my birthday certificate. And no birthday pictures. I look forward to my birthday dinners at this restaurant and this experience was extremely disappointing. Dirty dishes used in setting the table Dirty dishes left on the cabinet behind our table No explanation from server that we need to specify which type of fried rice (chicken, veggie or shrimp). And only stayed fried rice is an upgrade No fried onions in the soup, probably a cost cutting measure and just plain cheap considering the price of the meal. Hot saki taste like hot water with a splash of saki

    It was my first experience and I was not pleased from the moment we walked into the establishment. There were three people standing at the door and I had to say we have a reservation. No one opened their mouth to greet us. I received a text letting us know the table was ready. Once we arrived it was not. Then once we were seated the grill had old rice and nastiness, floor was dirty and chairs were not clean. I had to ask if they would clean. How long does it take to tidy the area? So I had to asked will they clean. The menu is so confusing and it seems you no longer get rice with meal you have to order separately as chicken rice and you only get white steamed rice. Then they fix all of the food and it has no taste whatsoever. It was so bland. It was three of us and our total was $170.00. I will never visit again

    The tables weren’t set correctly with napkins, chopsticks, and a fork. The grill on the table wasn’t hot enough for the chef to cook on so things took a lot longer than they should. The hostess seemed very flippant when mispronouncing my name and no apologies were made. She also took a answered a personal phone call on her cell phone while seating us. The bar tender ignored us while waiting for our table in the lounge. We’ve visited this location several times and have always had a wonderful experience but this time wasn’t very enjoyable. We are disappointed.

    Food was ok, could have went to any other Hibachi Grill and enjoyed the atmosphere. Had way to many people at our table to enjoy. Literally we were touching elbows. Took at least 15 minutes after we were seated to order drinks. Bathroom in the restaurant was not working. You could use the restroom in the attached hotel.

    We booked a table for four and they ended up seating us with a different group at the same table, the table was so crowded that I can’t even move my elbow to eat my food without getting in the way of the stranger sitting next to me. We waiting so long before getting our server attention and finally the food was very heavy and unnecessarily loaded with butter.

    Always a great meal at BH downtown, plus I had my favorite chef Doan prepare our meal. We sat in the side room towards the back to the left...got really smoky, so maybe the exhaust fan was at working correctly. Besides having to shower off once we got home, was a great time with my daughter!

    We walked in, towels all over the floor. Took my son to wash hands before they sat us down, toilets were over flowing water all over floors. Restroom and sink were unusable. We left the restaurant. I felt that the restaurant should of being closed for the day because it was unsanitary to have it open when restrooms were clogged and overflowing. Paying customers didn't have a place to use restrooms or wash their hands.
