Took 2hrs for the chef to get to us, once he got to our table mixed up the orders. Kids were falling asleep and and antsy from the wait (12 yr old birthday, 10 year old and 5 year old) by the time it got to desert I was there 3 hours and everyone was falling asleep. Probably would’ve been a better experience if they had gotten to us in a timely manner. Unfortunately the visit was definitely not what I expected. In the future I will try a different location hopefully the experience will be different.

It's just getting worse, been going there since the 80s and everything is just not even close to as good as it was. Is this a franchise? There should be a dress good as well. Embarrassing!

Restaurant appearance inside and out is tired and long overdue for a renovation. Paint is peeling off the walls and the carpet smells. The hibachi chef wasn’t the least interested in preparing our meal. Instead, he was looking around the room and seemed like he’d rather be elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Dine somewhere else that’ll give you a more authentic experience in a better more sanitary environment.

Great food by chef Jean and valet was complementary so that’s great! Great location by the water too! However, upon arrival there was a young lady/worker sitting outside next to the entrance of the door with her feet up on a chair eating food; it just looked unprofessional. In addition, we waited a very very long time about~45/50mins after being seated and having taken our orders for the chef to come to our table and start preparing our food. The waitress got some of the orders wrong which caused the chef to get some of the orders wrong as well. The food was amazing but they were just wayyy tooo slow as Everything just took forever!

Our server forgot to include my granddaughters order. so she just shared with the rest of us. I requested my meal to be very mild…i ordered seafood diablo. i told the waitress and the chef several times!!! My husband and i both spoke vigorously up when he pulled out the diablo sauce but he just threw it all in. I couldn’t eat it!!! It was as if he just didn’t care at all about my wishes.

This was literally the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant in my life! The only saving Grace was our hibachi chef Enrique who was kind and cooked good food. We bussed our own tables and everything took so long we didn’t even order my daughter a birthday desert! Was crazy your surrounded by employees and not one person comes to check on you. The food was good but the experience was totally lacking and your told with a table of 8 that’s 18% gratuity is included and then you never see the waiter again!

Service from actual waitress was really really bad. Truly terrible. Reservation was for 8:30pm. Arrived @ 8:09pm. Got set @ 8:45pm got initial water/ drinks roughly @ 9:03-5pm. Waitress spills drink on cook surface & clean it. Thus burnt on smell over whole dinner. didn’t get a cook or soup or salad 9:38pm then cook was verbal about mess & cleaning grill before service. Then all components were cooked out of order. Cook was dealing with poor waitress service & should be rewarded. Waitress should be fired. Terribly. No interest in addressing table.

Benihana used to be a great go to for a birthday or special event. This restaurant is very aged and showing it. The service was between non-existent and minor existence. The food was good but nothing worth the price. The show which used to be a very good Chef show, is now just a bunch of banging spatulas and knives around. My opinion skip it

Hard to believe this is the same place that used to be packed with customers. I don't mind paying for an expensive dinner if the quality service and atmosphere is great. The service was very slow the chef just cooked no fun in the experience any longer. I was amazed at how expensive it was for what we received definitely not worth it. I will not go back again. I think this was the third try of just ok.

Overall good as usual. The waiter was very friendly but behind due to understaffed and he tried his best. The food was good and the chef was friendly but more or less no show at all.. The indoor temperature was was to low, our whole table was freezing and that took away a big part of the joy with the dinner.

Our chef was amazing and the food was delicious! Our waitress unfortunately was not available at times and stated she as in a server meeting. I would not advise pulling a server when she has customers waiting. That was the only downside to our experience.

Benihana is always great. The service is pretty slow and the prices have definitely gone up. Food is very good and love how flavorful everything is. Try to go before sunset to enjoy the intercostal views.

As expected the best part of the evening was enjoying watching our table chef prepare our dinner. The food was above average. Service was good however we had to get up and find the server to order a second bottle of wine.

It’s always a hit or miss when we eat here. I think our chef was probably new. We didn’t get any entertainment. No onion volcano, egg tricks or anything. The food was still great though.

I visit Benihana Ft Lauderdale last time 10 years ago, still the same bulding, inside the same, not remodeling, a lot of noise, poor everything. Wait one hour for the chef start making the food, unaceptable. Let without having dinner. They need to invest money and renew the whole place. Wont go again until remodeling. Sorry shame Benihana

We got sat at a corner table that was uncomfortable to be at. The restaurant appeared to be busy but that is not an excuse if we made a reservation. We were given plastic silverware and no napkins until the end. The food was on the salty side this time and we spent 3 hours there because we could not get help. And once we did the serves wouldn’t come back for 20 min.

Poor overall experience. Server couldn't get order correct. Poor service. The chef was good but the hype of benihana has declined over the years. Needs to be updated and remodeled. Service staff needs to be more attentive. Poor overall experience for the price.

Always enjoy the atmosphere. Chefs are the best act at cooking and humor. Seems like they are trying to do some cosmetic work to the restaurant itself. Hope it gets done before season.

Food was great. Waitress got my order wrong, it was too late to change it when the chef arrived at the table. (The waitress needs to pay attention, and repeat customers before leaving the table).Waitress was nice in the beginning, I gave her a $10 tip at the end, she did not look too happy with what was given to her, didn’t say thank you, she just walked away looking upset. The chef was great.
