Chef was really good,although he forgot my shrimp and had to go back to get some. Waitress was on her first day and clearly was over-matched. She was nice enough, but didn’t really know the menu and messes up our drink order.
The person that answers the phone needs to work on their customer service. The food was subpar and there seemed to not be enough workers because the person serving us seemed to be scrambling.
Didn’t have many severs. We were there for almost 20 minutes before we even got seated. Waited another 30 minutes just to order drinks. Water had stuff floating in it. Servers were running around crazy because so many people were there. Only 2 servers taking orders for 7-8 tables full of people!
Wanted to go out and support local restaurants during this pandemic. However waiter refused to wear facemask appropriately after several requests even by the manager . additionally servers weren’t wearing gloves. This makes it difficult to want to support others that won’t even protect the general public.

The cook was great and the service was good. However, the food or our drink made us all sick. I'm not sure what happen but for almost 200 dollars, that was very disappointing. I am going to call and try to get some type of refund because that is rediculous.
TOT is the worst chef in the establishment. I asked for my steak medium well and it was well.. he continued to cook it when I asked him to stop then ARGUED with me when I told him it wasn’t well done! I asked him to get garlic butter and he yelled for the waiter then kept cooking. When I finally got it, it wasn’t cooked on my food like I wanted. This is my second bad experience this year and I wrote you guys then too so I DO NOT expect anything to change. I may have to take my business... which is almost 2-3 times a month elsewhere going forward
I always enjoy Benihana! The entertainment is just as good as the food!
The host was rude when we first got there. Rochelle the waitress just didn’t have it together. The 5 of us were celebrating my sisters birthday, which we notified prior to and told the chef, but no cake or singing. She continued to give us settings for 4 people, the chef had to keep asking her to do things as she would forget and she forgot to order my entire meal. Curtis the chef was amazing, entertaining, funny and the food was cooked perfectly! We left after dinner as Curtis was the only friendly person working there. We did not even take a group picture as they never brought cake.

We waited over an hour for a chef to cook food. Why to long ghey where not busy She never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee ..it was my sons birthday asked them do something for him. NOTHING .could not use his bday certificate for free dinner. You think with covis they make a exception!!!
We wanted to try a new hibachi restaurant. I researched reviews and found this one. Overall it was “ok”, I felt the quality of food wasn’t that great. The service was excellent. I’m not a picky eater but for the cost of hibachi I expect better quality food. I didn’t have a bad experience here, just sharing my opinion.

Always fun and entertaining. I didn’t like that they sat my kids all the way across the room, (They called me an hour before our reservation time to confirm and knew we had 2 tables of 6) even with social distancing you would think since they knew we were together having our tables near but nope...Our chef TOT was awesome tho, food was delicious😋we had a good time.
The food and drinks were excellent. I cant wait to visit Benihana again.
Place was dead on a Friday night and looked very outdated. Experience overall was mediocre and nothing like what the official website described. They did nothing special for a birthday celebration. Food tasted great but was hardly worth $40 a plate.

We were seated for half an hour before we were brought any food. Seated near the entrance and hear a lot of loud talking
This location was so dirty, hot and loud. There are portable ac’s everywhere and all they do is blow the hot air around. We were all sweating through our meal. Our server was horrible. She was never around and we always had to look for her or get things from our Chef. We had to ask her for things over and over because she just didn’t remember or seemed to not even really care. The only good thing was the food and our Chef. He was energetic and really engaged with us. His food was amazing as well. Overall for the money spent this was NOT worth it! Stay away from this location.

Ron was our chef- we’ve had him before - he’s great! Food was spot on!
I have been to this location many times. But this is the first time in the last year or two. The prices have gone up significantly, however the quality of the food has gone really downhill. The air conditioner was not working and there were portable units placed throughout the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the basement of an office building so the air wasn’t circulating at all. During dinner I had a large air conditioning unit blowing on me while I was trying to eat. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and there were dirty dishes stacked in the bar area and on other hibachi tables. Lobster shells and left over food just sitting there the entire time. I went to use the restroom before we left and the whole area near the bathroom smelled like a sewer. The kitchen and sushi bar area is also right near the restroom. It was so unappetizing. Our dinner for 2 was $133 without tip. Including 2 cocktails. We also had drinks in the bar area where there was no seating due to Covid which was another $50.00 I feel so disappointed and violated. For the same amount we could have had a great dining experience elsewhere. On top of it I was sick to my stomach the entire night. Not sure how the health department can let this place stay open!!!
Diners beware of this location!!! Reservations were for 3:30pm and we arrived on time. There was hardly anyone dining but were told that it would be a minute because they were sweeping the dining area. When we eventually got seated, the waiter was terrible. He took our drink orders and when he brought them to the table, he literally threw the straws down. He brought out the onion soup, only for us to discover a bug in it. He took them away, showed the hostess but no one came over to our table. We waited an hour before the chef came out but had to move to another table because the grill would not get hot. The chef was entertaining and the food was good. However; the experience was already ruined by that point. I had to request to speak with a manager and he provided less than satisfactory service or resolution. He was accusatory when he initially sat down but then tried being apologetic...the damage was already done! Let’s just say that we will NEVER dine at the Beachwood Benihana again. Wasabi has earned our business or we’ll drive to the Benihana in Columbus.
Food was good as always but looks like there's an issue with their AC. They have giant temporary units. Also some staff did not have masks covering their noses.
The food was great , service not so great. The restrooms are filthy, as well as behind the scenes. The chef was awesome the only bright spot. For the prices paid I can go to other restaurants that are a lot nicer. This place is in need of a complete renovation. Been coming here for years but sadly it has run its course.
Super hot. Air conditioning isn’t working. They have portable air conditioners EVERYWHERE. Looks so tacky. Tables off to the side filled with boosters and high chairs. There were tubs of clean dishes on tables . Staff is sweating, we are sweating, not good. They are doing a huge take out business. I would never go back to sit down for a meal again. There are other options out there
Waitress we did not see much of, appetizers were brought out when food was served. Just overall was NOT like it normally is and extremely disappointed.

The dinner was great we had a great experience and our chef Marco was amazing and entertaining !!!
Maitre D needs some work very rude, we had two reservations one at 12:30 and one at 12:45 pm. I was there at 12:25 told him my name and he canceled the 12:45 pm reservation in my name. Luckily it worked out for our party of 8. Please don’t complain about lack of customers when you are turning them away. Also fix the AC.
The food and service was good but the building was dirty and unsanitary, the bathrooms smelled horribly which takes away from the ambiance. Very disappointed in Benihanas I’ve never seen such a dirty environment...
No where near the experience this place used to be. Wait time was unwarranted (with available tables), service was nothing to mention, over half of the sushi sampler was not edible, very little protein for the price. Up charges were not made clear. Can’t say I’m excited to go back.
Loved our cook and waitress everything was amazing and good cook was funny keep up the great work

The waiter was not efficient. As soon as we sat down we were asked if we wanted to order. We had to ask the chef for forks and napkins also he went to get the appetizer. I ordered a second drink which the waiter forgot to oder with the bar. I will not return.
