   We had a great time even though it took almost 2 hours to finally have a chef come to cook for us. They were short staffed and it was very busy.

   I was a bit disappointed. They’re obviously under-staffed on chefs. We waited a LONG time after sitting down to have a chef arrive and a table near us sat even longer and they looked really mad. Then we were rushed out with ice cream before we even finished eating the meal. And the birthday experience was less than lackluster. On top of that, the entrees are $50, which I would save for a high-end meal.

   Let me start with our chef, he was the best chef I’ve ever had a Benihana , Trevor thank you very much. However, our reservations were at 6:30 and we did not have a chef until 815. We were told that a new corporation owns Benihana and they have set up a reservation system that is unrealistic and the managers on site have no control. We were told that on New Year’s Eve 1100 people showed up for reservations and the people who stuck around had to wait four hours before getting a chef. The new corporation needs to take responsibility for this bad review and fix the reservation system immediately.

   Always a family favorite- Irvin is the best chef! Hint- take a pint if salad dressing home with you.

   We had a 6:30 reservation and got the around 6:15 to check in and didn’t get seated until 7:30 and then didn’t have a chef come to our table until 9pm to finally start cooking food.. It seemed like the whole restaurant was in the same boat as the tables next to us had the same experience. The staff was very friendly and doing the best they could given the situation management put them in. Overall seems like a major management/corporate issue going on at this location.

   We’ve been going to Benihana’s for years however this was the first time that we had to wait for an hour at our table to get food even though we had a reservation. The food as always, was amazing. The chef and waitress were great. The wait time however, was unacceptable, very disappointing.
