We had reservations but still had to wait 30 plus minutes to get to a table. Once at a table it took another 30 minutes before even our drinks and first course came. The cook messed up our food order, which was partially remedied, but made things take even longer. We had a valid coupon for a free appetizer but the waitress refused to let us use it because she said it was the kids edamame (which was the same price as the regular appetizer edamame). Overall, I was not pleased with our experience and will likely not be returning.

Seated 15 min late. Drink order 25 min after that. Didn’t get a chef at the hibachi until 115 minutes after our reservation time. NOT GOOD FOR KIDS. They brought the non-hibachi chicken nuggets for one kid AFTER the hibachi service was over. Clearly they just forgot the order. Not a good night for Benihana.

The best Benihana experience we’ve had (at various locations)! Our chef was hilarious and so much fun!! Our waiter was equally wonderful and engaged! And the food was delicious!

The waygu meal was delicious but for $69 and the $21 waygu fried rice is not worth what your paying for you barely get any meat. I should of stick with the samurai treat I probably would have left full after paying almost $100 for just my meal. But Trevor was a great chef really good with the customers and entertaining. All the food was made to perfection

We had a reservation at 6, our chef was not at our table until 7:30, and we had 3 tired kids from legoland. Overall the chef once he arrived was great but we would have appreciated more prompt service since we were up against bedtime and made an early reservation.

Waited an hour past our reservation time to get seated. During our meal it was clear the crew was just trying to keep up. I didn’t get a dish, drinks took 10 minutes. Not the staffs fault but it impacts my willingness to return.

We had a great time and the food was very tasty. Our chef was a lot of fun. He was very entertaining and personable. Our whole table enjoyed him. The food was very good. I had a seafood dish. The portion was so big that could have shared it with my husband. Overall it was an excellent evening. Good food. Great entertainment.

We had a lovely dinner dining at this location. First time here and we will definitely be back. Our server was such a sweetheart! (She had blonde hair and helped us on 7/10 @ 9:15pm) very attentive and catering to our daughter as well. Santos was our chef and he made the experience fun and was truly an amazing chef. Food was tasty! Not too salty and used the perfect amount of sauces and oil. We will return whenever we are in San Diego area.
