Very disappointed, how can I express my review best to management? I spent a lot of money on a group of nine to celebrate family. It was totally underwhelming. I have many details and examples to document: the chef wasn’t even talking during the event, no jokes, no enetertainement and he had below average knife skills. He he didn’t even cut the tails off the shrimp: and we had lots of shrimp, Very disappointing. The onion volcano was a bust. He had egg shells break in the egg roll. Chicken was chopped up like shredded chicken. Little enthusiasm. Got orders wrong. Forgot the white rice, I had to remind the server. The server did not know how to open a bottle of wine. We ordered 3 bottles and I opened and poured them all. Were we being punked? We’ve always had a great experience here until tonight. Update 7/3… we also contacted Benihana directly on Sunday through the “Contact Us” page. There has been no response.

Always had a good experience but not this time took too long and shrimp tails not cut off and no knives to cut the tails off ..not good

Our chef was Trevor and he completely gave us the best experience!!! He was fun, entertaining and super knowledgeable. We went there for my birthday , which is a tradition :) They were very busy but the server made sure we had everything we needed. The next time we go back we are going to see if we can get Trevor again!!!

Elizabeth our server started out great. Got our soup in record time. Then she disappeared. There was no server to be found. We waited and waited and waited. The table next to us got their chef even though they were seared after us while we were still waiting for our salad. Our chef Marco was extremely unprepared and kept leaving the table to get things. He forgot the mushrooms and had very little fanfare. Then we waited some more for the check. Very disappointing for first time to this location. And it was my mom’s 85th birthday.

I went alone because my family can’t deal with poor service. My reservation was 1:30, When I entered the receptionist wasn’t present. At 1:42, I asked the woman in front of me, had she been waiting long? She said yes, she was waiting for change. I was finally greeted by the receptionist. She said wait here while I find a table. The waiter came over. I asked to start off with a California Roll. I was told, I had to walk over to the bar or receptionist.. I like the food but not sure I will return.

I am gluten intolerant and the chef made me a delicious gluten free meal with no ill effects. And I got my food first. They substituted edamame for the soup. The fried rice is delectable as was the NY strip and mushrooms.

Our "reservation" was at 7pm. we didn't get seated until 7:20pm we were only a party of 2. We then waited another hour no exaggeration until our soup came out, around 8:20pm our chef didn't come out and start cooking until almost 9pm. He took forever to get all the food served he was nice, but not really efficient. A lot of money can be spent at benihana, but he just didn't manage the food prep, my friends chicken was sitting for like 15 minutes once he got his chicken it was hot but burnt and dry, my scallops were super salted and seasoned poorly, the steak I got was not medium rare it was more medium and burnt. Not the best experience, we were all hungry and restless, but never complained, from start to finish, it was a 3 hour dinner got there at 7pm didn't leave till 10pm, didn't even start actually eating until 9:20pm, a 2 hour wait with reservation and the food was not worth the wait or price. definitely a disappointment, and not comp or real apologies.
