   Dishes were dirty, took them forever to seat us and when they did we still had to wait like another hour to be served. I even arrived early for my reservation. I was there for 5 hours!

   We are regulars to Benihana and today was very disappointing. The food just wasn’t up to par. Not seasoned well, meat had so much fat on it and cut into large pieces and as you know, they don’t give you knives. Don’t know if we will go back.

   Wait Times were long and Chefs were super tired, no proper customer service was given.

   Bathrooms and floors/baseboards everywhere are disgusting. They need a cleaning crew to deep clean…like bad. We had a reservation through OpenTable. We arrived a few minutes before and were told it would be still be a minimum of a 45 minute wait. We actually waited over an hour before we were seated. What’s the reservation for then? Absurd. There is a large sign on the door announcing “Only formal attire” or something to that effect. The actual attire allowed is anything that covers some of your body parts (undergarments optional). A man at our table was wearing a tight undershirt-type tank top (to show off his tattoos and nipple piercings) with sagging jeans to show off his butt and underwear. So, for the $50+ per meal, you get to experience the same demographic as the public bus station. Special!

   The hostess was beyond rude and very unhelpful and not pleasant. The server and chef were amazing and made my birthday so much better. The bartenders were extremely friendly and made our wait time feel short. I made a reservation online and still had to wait 30 minutes but that’s no one’s fault. It was busy but still fun after we got to the table

   We didn’t get seated until 815 and didn’t get food until at least 845 for a 745 reservation

   We weren’t seated until 30 min after our reservation. It was my son’s birthday. They said they would bring a kids menu but never did, which also makes a hat that he wanted to wear. I saw a bunch of grown men wearing them, but never was it offered to an actual child. Very limited tricks by the cook, which was the whole point t of being there. Would not go back.

   The quality of this restaurant has gone down greatly. I realize the economic times are hard, and that corners have to be cut, but this was ridiculous. The portion sizes are very small, and they dice everything very small so as to give the illusion of more food. Each were given our choice of rice I chose white. That was a mistake. It was cold and flavorless. And it was served to me a good 15 minutes before any of my other food. We were a group who did not want seafood as we had several allergies. The restaurant does not allow for substitutions on the shrimp. So basically each of us got one small piece of protein no matter how much you paid, some very bland rice, one thinly sliced and flavorless cucumber, a sliced and diced section of an onion, and a couple of overly salty sauces. The dressing on the salad was disappointing. Not to mention the portion on the salad was teeny. We felt that the show was a little lackluster, but we could’ve lived with that had the food been better. The best part if the meal was the ice cream at the end because I was able to finally cleanse my pallet from all the MSG. We will not be returning.

    The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great—really enjoyed both! However, the waitress could have been a bit friendlier, and it would be nice if they were more attentive . Overall, still a good experience
