Benihana - Broomfield
The only thing wrong was we waited a half hour after being seated before anyone ever acknowledged, but after mentioning it to the chef we received an apology and a discount, after all time is money! Food was great as always and the service we had was friendly, the chef Kyle was amazing! He made the experience better!
We had a great time celebrating my daughters birthday. The cook (Flaco) did an excellent job. The food was delicious
The service was great! Our chef was very good and very friendly. I just wish that we had a Benihanas in Fort Collins! It is one of our favorite restaurants.
First time there and we had a blast. It's somewhat awkward to be seated at a table with strangers but once the chef got going, the weird silence ended. Great chef, great food. Tables could use a good scrubbing but overall a nice meal.
Our chef Kyle always cooks a delicious meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We like the spicy fried rice which was also delicious. Our server was fast and friendly. We didn't feel rushed to eat as sometimes happens when they get super busy. We ate on a Saturday and it was packed so pretty noisy but we're used to that. This was a double birthday dinner for son and husband. Lots of fun and great food.
Enjoyed my first visit to tgis location. Not sure why they asked about a special occasion. However, I enjoyed the food & experience. I will come back. The chicken fried rice was delicious!
The food was delicious ... our ‘chef’ was a bit quiet and not as playful or engaging as usual but over all a great experience.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed by our experience at Benihana. Our chef was obviously new and not particularly skilled, relying on wit rather than skill for the 'show'. This lack of skill then resulted in slow service and overcooked beef. While my family had a good time, I couldn't help but walk away feeling like I would have rather spent my money on a good meal and experience elsewhere.
We got a newbie for my birthday. He accidentally threw a utensil at my sister and cracked a egg on top of his hat. It was hysterical. Everything else was great as always. We will be back. I didn't get my birthday certificate in my email so my husband sent them an email and within a day it was resolved. Got my meal for free! Yeay me!
We were celebrating two birthdays and ended up at a table that also had two birthdays, so we had a very fun night. The food was great and the service was exceptional. Try the Diablo Sauce is you get the chance and you can actually have it cooked into your fried rice! AMAZING!!!
Great place. Took some friends and relatives. I’ll be back. Love the food, service, and atmosphere.
Excellent Chef, excellent service, excellent food. Great place for a birthday or anniversary.
I had a wonderful time and when I come back to colorado I will stop by. thank you
Waited 45min to get pickled ginger and crispy onions for my meal. Absolutely ridiculous. And seen my waiter maybe twice during my meal. I went to the manager to inform him his answer was sorry and he went and got the Crispy onions and pickle ginger. and that was it Didn’t take care of me in any other way except for apology and I
Had a great experience
Tonight was possibly the worse dining experience we have ever had. For some reason, the Broomfield Benihana continues to be the worst in the country and tonight set a new low. Our party of three was joined by a group of 5 that seemed to have no understanding of basic human consideration, manors, or common social conduct. Next, the grill vent was leaking some sort of fluid on the eating surface. This must be some kind of health code violation. Next, the chef tonight was horrible. The standard routine is for the chef to joke about this being their first night on the job, but tonight I think it really was her first night. She became consumed by the poor behavior of the other people at the table and things just got worse and worse. The food was out of sequence, cooked poorly, and very unsatisfying. Because of the scene the other five caused, the chef cooked their meal (ignoring our party of 3) only to have them leave their uneaten meal to move to another table. I am sure their meal was comped. Finally, the chef realizes we are at the table too and we get the rest of the meal, which was not worth waiting for. The management was completely incompetent and could not get control of the situation. Do not go to this Benihana. I am certain there are health code violations and due to extremely poor management, it will be a long time before they cure these problems. We will not be returning despite being long term customers.
Flaka was our chef and he was amazing. Best hibachi chef I've ever had. He did the cliche' spatula twirling and typical hibachi chef stuff, but he also did his own thing and was hilarious.
I don't know why I find corny hibachi jokes funny, but it is really entertaining to me.
The food was really good. They have a creamy garlic butter that it not strong on the garlic. It makes the food even better.
I recommend it to everyone................Good Stuff!
Server was good
Chef was not very experienced and food was not seasoned very well
Just wasn't the experience we are accustomed to
Was a birthday dinner and just missing something
Chicken fried rice was blander than usual, as was the teriyaki sauce on the steak. Haven’t been there for almost a year, and flavors not as good as usual.
Food was really good the chefs are so entertaining
We have been to this location many times and this was definitely the most lackluster experience. We went in during the Broncos game hoping it would be slow but also looking for some entertainment and our hibachi chef was very polite but she was definitely not very into it. I am not sure if she was new and just not comfortable in the role yet but she was very reserved and seemed flustered. I think if she was new she will be great at some point but you could tell she wasn’t comfortable. The food was decent enough but definitely not at the caliber we expected from our previous experiences. Overall we will be back and hopefully next time we will get a more experienced chef
We celebrated my husband's birthday on Saturday and enjoyed everything. Thank you for a great evening out.
We waited 20 minutes after our reservation time. :(
The best place to eat ever. I love it and the cook. I believe his name was Tommy. He was great
Wonderful experience on my wife's birthday. WH e always enjoy our dining experience at Benihana and meeting and having conversations with the others at our table was an added and enjoyable benefit. It's nice to be able to meet strangers in a relaxed and friendly environment. T he chef was great, entertaining while preparing our meal to perfection. The only complaint that I have is that it was not explained to me before I ordered that there was an additional $4 charge for fried rice instead of steamed rice. Also the price of the cocktails ( alcoholic beverages) were quite high in comparison to other fine dining establishments I have frequented.
That being said, we enjoyed our night out and will undoubtedly return.
drinks were way over priced - cook didn't really do a peformance
Benihana is our favorite go-to place for birthday celebrations! As part of the Chef's Table, adults receive a $30 gift certificate that can be redeemed Mon.-Thurs. night. It is always a great time at Benihana! Even after a lousy work day, the chef and wait staff are sure to bring a smile to your face and lift everyone's mood! Delicious food, desserts, and cocktails!
I’ve been there many times. Christian our cook has always been awesome. I think our waitress was new because it took forever to get our drinks and were already getting served our food before we got our soup and salads. Hopefully next time the manager will take notice and have somebody as a back up to help a new hire.
We made reservations for 3 at 6:00 for a birthday dinner for my son, who was also on leave from active duty in the Navy. Yes, a special evening. I arrived at 5:30. I asked if we could change the reservation to 4 people at 6:00. The hostess said, "No. We have nothing available till 8:15". When it was 6:00, I asked the same hostess if anyone had cancelled so we could add the 4th to our party. She asked, "Are they here?", and I told her not at the moment, but they would be here shortly. She told me she could add the 4th and rolled her eyes with an attitude of indignation. I stood there for a brief second wondering if I did something to offend her. I walked over to the bar and waited for them to call us. Around 6:15, I walked back up to the hostess and asked if we were going to be seated. She asked, "Are all of your parties her?" I said no, but we're ready to be seated. The 4th was running a little late. Then the hint of indignation that I thought was there exploded. She said, "Are you going to order for them?" I told her I would. She asked, "Are you going to call them right now?" What?! I asked if I did something wrong to offend her. She said said no. I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude. She said, "I don't have an attitude", which was said with more attitude. I walked back to the bar and waited to be seated. Evidently, reservations for 6:00 do not mean you are seated at 6:00, more like 6:20. This exchange is what started the dining experience. Come to find out the table wasn't full. There were two open spots!!
It doesn't matter what the rest of the dining experience was. This is what we'll remember.
If the manager reads this. It was table 10/1. I seriously doubt we will be back. For around $200 for 4 people, I can get a better experience elsewhere.
Our waitress was great. She was very friendly. Our chef was also very nice. He knew what he was doing and was funny.
Food quality is poor. Some kind of oil was leaking on me from the ceiling?
Our chef ignored us the entire time. Didn’t really put on a show at all. What bit of show he did was without enthusiasm at all. I go to enjoy a bit of entertainment and that did not happen. We have had this chef twice now and both times it has been horrible. Sad thing is there was another chef at the table next to us that was amazing!
I have been to Benihana a few times now but this past time wasn’t so good our chef put our steaks on last so by the time we got the steak the rest of our meal was cold. The manager had saw what had happened and he comped our drinks he didn’t have to do that but he felt bad about what happened.
Service was rushed. Water not refilled. Bathrooms are gross. The others at our table were visibly upset that my 5 year old was present on a Wednesday night at 6:30. The hibachi chef did way less than other tables near by and the food came in a weird order. Rice, then protein, then more protein, then mixed vegetables.
Food here is always excellent.
Have food and drink specials for happy hour.
Its a crap shoot on the waiter or waitress you get we love Jeremy, but he seams to always be unavailable, its unfortunate as he is the best, all the others I have experienced are or were slow and did not care too much about refilling glasses or checking on you. The front staff is never friendly.....losing its spark for sure
Just another AWESOME experience as always!!!
We had to wait about 20 mins even though we had a reservation so that was disappointing. The server we had was excellent - our chef was a little timid and not as fun or outgoing as we have had previously. Food was delicious though!
Benihanas is always a great time, best food around love this place.
