We had a reservation for 6:30 pm for a party of 4. We didn’t sit down until after 8:00 pm. The chef didn’t arrive at the table until 30 minutes after we were seated. It felt like the place was understaffed and overbooked. The chef was great and the food was good. I could tell the staff was a bit overwhelmed and doing their best. It is just hard to give a higher rating after waiting until more than 2 hours after our reservation time to eat.

The food was great, but we had a 6:30 reservation and we were not even seated until 7:30. The whole process takes about 2 hours from when you sit down to when you leave.

The food, ambience, and fun is always great at Benihana, and it was no different this visit. Our chef was excellent, fun and engaging, put on a goood show. The biggest issue we had was the wait to be seated. On a Thursday night we had reservations for 6:15pm. We arrived almost right at 6:15, but were not seated until 7:10! What’s the point of a reservation if the restaurant can’t keep it? It seemed like they had fallen behind earlier and just couldn’t dig out of the hole.

The waitress took forever to refill drinks, she did not turn on the grill so we had to wait a total of 45 minutes for it to heat up, yes we got free appetizer but it took forever and then the preparation of the food was no where near what it was last year. And they didn’t take a picture. They always take pictures. They didn’t do a single picture for the table and she could not sing the happy birthday song.

Food was great but they weren’t prepared extremely short staffed. Took one hour for them to even start cooking our food. People at the table next to us left after waiting so long.

Chief was new, burnt and overcooked the food. Received unequal portions of food. Had to remind the chief of missing items. Drinks were slow to get.
