Valet parking would have made the night. The venue was terrific, a little more intimate table would have been nice for my date. Overall great location, staff was terrific and food was great. I will be taking her there again soon.
The place was very exquisite and perfect for my anniversary date!
The food , service and ambience made for a very enjoyable lunch. One of the most delightful spots in the desert to have lunch or dinner.
The staff was extremely helpful in accommodating our party to make for what might have been a chilly evening into a delightful dining. They went out of their way to make our party comfortable. Service was excellent as was the food.
Food was awful. Simply awful. Service was lovely. Great view.
Seared Ahí Tuna Salad and Reuben Sandwich were delicious!
Great, attentive service and a spectacular patio view of the Eastern Little San Bernardino Mountains.
One of our more favorite spots for patio dining. Menu value is superb, as is the presentation and taste. Very accommodating service.
Disappointed on not enough of the crab on the shrimp crab salad... server brought us each an extra claw...
Birthday lunch on the patio overlooking the golf course. Ordered filet mignonette sliders and seared ahi tuna salad. Prepared to perfection.
Great food and beautiful view of the golf course
Staff was very conscientious and friendly. Tables were spread out properly. Waiter was very good but should have offered another drink sooner. My wife’s salmon was slightly over cooked but still good. I had the special half lobster tail, one shrimp and one scallop. Scallop was fishy but other food was delicious. Felt hungry still. They should offer the same dish with more food. I would pay more without a thought. Overall very nice for our first time out since March.
We went to Bellatrix for lunch. We we warmly greeted and escorted to a table (all tables had plenty of space between them) with a lovely view of the golf course and mountains. We had attentive service and enjoyed our lunch (Crab Louie Salad and Reuben Sandwich). Enjoyed a Bloody Mary that was excellent. My husband and I really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others.
Great food, overlooking the golf course. The soft shell crab BLT was magnificent.
Great place when social distancing is an important requirement for eating out. I like the prices for wine and drinks. Very reasonable. The food has a gourmet vibe. I have ordered the Ahi tuna salad twice and a special salad with shrimp, I can say the food here is outstanding.
Wonderful view, value, service and golf. I strongly urge anyone to try.
Our friends enjoyed their crab & shrimp louies, we enjoyed the Reuben and burger. Very reasonably priced as well. This is our go-to lunch spot near our house. Can’t wait to try dinner! Great service as well!
My friend and I had the seafood Louie, my fiancé had the burger. We all loved it, the prices are great, as is the service.
Lovely facility and beautiful, expansive view of the Classic Club golf course. The staff was friendly and efficient. All four of us enjoyed our lunches and commented on the good value. I had the Mediterranean ahi salad which was delicious and about twice as much as I could eat for only $15.
China Flu restrictions made it much less enjoyable than previously.
Always good food and the service is outstanding
With OpenTable reservation we were seated in hot sun not under patio cover. Never had such a pathetic seafood Louie...scant dressing...no bread offered had to beg for water. Could not get mustard for burger. Charged $2.50 to not have fries and offered a salad (no dressing!). Maybe short handed but with reservations manager should have arranged staff. Bus boy was also not very accommodating. All in all...won’t go back!
This was a wonderful venue. Even in 110º desert weather, with the misting system, it was pleasant sitting on the deck. The view was spectacular (especially if you're a golfer). The service was great the food sumptuous. I had their BLT which was a soft-shell crab, bacon, lettuce and tomato. I would highly recommend this place. Ours was lunch and I'm looking forward trying the for dinner.
I rarely write reviews but this was exceptional.
The menu for dinner was a little sparse, though what we had (the chicken papperadella and seafood risotto) was very good. Can't beat the beautiful view, though we had gawker who repeatedly stood at the railing in front of our table taking selfies while we ate.
We had the soft shell crab sandwich and the Monte Cristo, both were excellent! Being from the Napa Valley I was shocked to see a wonderful dry rose being offered for $7 a glass! Please don’t raise the price now!! The view was lovely. We look forward to trying the dining room.
Enjoyed dining on the patio overlooking the golf course.
Went for lunch and was perfect spot to hang out with a nice view and good food
Very pleased with every aspect of of the experience!
There were 4 people from out of town and the loved it.
This was our third dinner visit to Bellatrix. As before, the food was outstanding and the waiter excellent. Unfortunately, the hostesses were surprisingly not well trained. We had made a reservation on Open Table that was confirmed by the hostess when we checked in. There was a large group waiting in front of us. We were told to wait because there was another couple in front of us. After about a five minute wait I asked when were going to be seated and we were told that they had to wait for menus to be returned and that there was a table reserved for us. Okay, at least we now knew. After another five + minutes passed I asked if we could at least wait at our table. The hostess then said “of course”. From there on everything was fine. We received our menus after a short wait.
I just feel that the situation could have handled differently by telling us to have a seat at the table and then explain the menu situation.
We enjoyed our meal and the ambiance is always very pleasant.
Typical Country Club food
Lunch on the patio. Variety of choices on the menu, all delicious. Slow service, but we weren’t in a hurry. Lovely day for a lovely view.
One large section was reserved for valet. No vehicles were parked there upon our arrival at 11:30. Only two vehicles parked in there as we left at 1:30. It’s a long walk to/from the lower parking lot to the facility door. Mostly an older crowd dining. Move the valet to the lower area this opening many self park stalls. The young valets can run it better than we can walk it.
Have dined here many, many times, but was now very dissapointed. Ordered chicken piccata, which came out as a small bowl of noodles with a few slices of chicken breast mixed with a caper sauce. Prices have increased significantly, certainly not worth what we paid. Not going to hurry back.
Son was in town and we had award coupons from golf tournament.
Went for happy hour but was busy so did dinner instead. Food was very good and service excellent. Great wine list and quiet setting.
Lovely dinner outside, good service, great wine selection!! Perfect end to our visit to PS.
I enjoyed a lovely night out with my son. The restaurant was busier than usual so we had a little wait before being attended to. The wine list is very good and reasonably priced. Food is always delicious, and always interesting combinations.
Ambiance is “old world”. The interior design is right out of a movie depicting a stuffy, private golf club.
Service was excellent, although our server, Alex, seemed either new or overwhelmed
Bread was tasteless, Caesar salad was disappointing. Entrees and dessert - much better.
A wonderful dining experience for valentine's day. The five course meal was outstanding with each course nicely prepared and spaced perfectly.
Everything was great. Our server was super good. We both ordered the blackened Chilean sea bass which was as good as any we have had. And the prices were lower than most restaurants of similar high quality. Easy access from I-10 at Cook St. exit. Only a couple of blocks on north side of freeway at the Classic golf course.
Food portions are very small, vegetables were tasteless. Ordered a Spinach salad which looked like it was carelessly thrown together with very little goat cheese and 3 walnuts. Salmon was not prepared as ordered, when sent back, it still wasn’t right. The Veal dish was salty. Overall this was the worst meal we had our many visits to Palm Desert. Too many other restaurants to enjoy, avoid this one.
Bellatrix is rated 4.6 stars by 520 OpenTable diners.
Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
